  1. I'm interested, in both rapping and making remixes. Here's a sample of my work: Ruined Puppet This track was in the SZRC.
  2. That seems like a good idea. But first let's wait and make sure Reckenefin approves my entry
  3. Yeah, that was pretty epic. The knight known as Jordanius sure knows his stuff. I'm glad i listened to all his feedback for "Ruined Puppet"
  4. Rexy, I can relate because I'm an extremely anxious person. It's taken a lot of prayer and re-training of my thinking to get me where I am now (not being afraid to be in compos and all), and I'm still anxious. I don't think I'm ever completely focused on any one thing because my thoughts are always going. Please don't beat on yourself. One of the best things that gets me through is trying to essentially ignore what I feel and doing what I know is right or good regardless of how afraid or bitter or whatever I may be. I'm really glad that you were a part of this compo, even if I didn't always vote for you I still loved every single one of your songs. If I ever make a playlist of "favorite SZRC tracks," I'm pretty sure you'll be in there.
  5. Um, no. I'm not sure how much Brandon was joking, but I think it was a joke. It does suck that you didn't get to do Sky Sanctuary in the compo, but why not do it anyway? I for one would love to hear it
  6. Reckenefin, I sent you a PM. I was really hoping to take Goomba Village if I'm accepted, but it looks like Wesl might get it.
  7. I would love to hear a better quality version of this, the Tindeck version seems a bit lossy. I really like the synth lead you used for the majority of the song, and your bass patch is pretty sick too. I feel like there's still too many SFX at the beginning, although I really like the use of the vocal samples. The jazzy part in the middle feels like it doesn't fit with the rest of the song, maybe a bit of tweaking would make it fit better.
  8. Well, I finally did some more work on this mix, just in time for the end of SZRC. Sir Jordanius, I actually took all of your advice and tried to implement every single one of your ideas. I hope it sounds okay. "Final" version BTW, I hope you don't mind - because you contributed so much to the shaping of this track, I added "Produced by Sir Jordanius" in the comment field Now to figure out what tracks to remix in the paper mario 64 album, if you guys will have me EDIT: added "final" link to first post.
  9. Seriously? Anyway, I'll have my revised "Ruined Puppet" to you by tonight, SuperiorX (hopefully).
  10. Changed a couple words, this might be more accurate
  11. Yeah, does Syllix just have bunch of crazy ethnic instruments lying around?
  12. I played Chrono Trigger for the first time last year, and Robo's theme is one of favorite parts of the soundtrack. This vocal remix does it great justice! It's very fun and catchy, and the beat makes you wanna dance. The singing on the verses reminds me a lot of Joy Electric Incredible singing robot is incredible.
  13. actually chthonic, I kept quiet when I felt like things were going that way for me It seems like there's some truth in both sides here: 1. Learn to take criticism/negativity towards your music/art/whatever you do, because it'll always be there. 2. Be a bit considerate when posting criticisms, but don't think that you have to be completely quiet because you might hurt someone's butt feelings.
  14. Just voted, just in the nick of time. Syllix, I'm really impressed with the more chill direction you took. Syllix, I loved your great use of samples, and your little wubstep cameos. LadyWildfire, great job incorporating vox in a new style for you. Brandon, great rockin' track overall. Great work everybody!
  15. O.o wow, I did not expect the voting to turn out the way it did! And as for as my battle with you, Gario... oh well. It was a good battle, and I will take everyone's feedback and comments and learn from it.
  16. New link in the first post. I doubled parts of the verses, did the telephone effect on the "puppet" parts, and added the clap on beat four.
  17. Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm glad you all are enjoying it. I think I will make some changes to some of the instrumental parts and then I'll submit it. Have you all voted in the SZRC yet? You can download all the mixes from the main page here, and you can vote here (just make sure you vote on every pair of tracks otherwise none of your votes count!).
  18. I put an updated link in the first post, all I did was vocode Martha's vocals. The instrument in the beginning is a clavier, not a guitar. Don't know what to say about it, other than that :/ This song isn't going to change anymore, I'll probably try to submit it but if it gets a "no" I'm still leaving it the way it is... I don't feel like working on it anymore.
  19. I agree with WillRock's plan here. I'm okay with him stepping in, if Brandon's track wins.
  20. mah pamcake ain't gettin no roastin, sahr, but your'uns is shoarly gettin burnt.
  21. I waited until tonight to vote because it was just too damn hard. Everybody's mix was so good!
  22. I vote long & funny (that's what she said). I also think the name of the mix should be "Filter Love" but only if it's a funky sexified track.
  23. I work tomorrow too, but it's the only day I work this week. I'm a stay-at-home dad and I usually only work 10 hours or less a week.
