But wasn't the music for the Great Temple epic?

This is gonna sound strange. Anyone else ever feel "weighed down" by 3D? Like sometimes it's too much?

Wait wait wait... I'm on Live right now and Zircon is playing SF2HDR... Did he just skip out on his honeymoon? -
The only thing I liked about Shinn is the fact that he is the ONLY main character in a Gundam series(aside from my No.1 fav Shiro Amada) that actually had military training going into it, and his background was interesting as a "casualty" of war. Too bad they botched him as an interesting character. My reasoning for my two favorite characters from the series aren't very complex, I just like Stellar and Luna's character designs.
-
The worst part about Destiny is that it has my favorite characters out of the "Seedverse".
-
Don't worry, you'll get there.
-
That's actually pretty cool.

Season 1 of Gundam 00 is pretty great, or at least moderately good although I don't know if I prefer it over SEED. I can't really recommend it though being that it ends on a cliffhanger and you'll have to subject yourself to the pain of watching season 2 to see the resolution(?) of it all. Another anime that just finished recently was K-on!, which is pretty much Beck meets Azumanga Daioh with more of a focus. If you haven't seen Beck, I'd recommend that as well. Did I mention Gungrave? If anyone has missed out on this, go see it post haste. If I had a top 5 anime list, it'd definitely be there.

So you sucked at gaming then? *rimshot*
-
The fact that you didn't get a new game for a long time had a lot to do with it for me. It was simply a matter of learning patterns and muscle memory.

SEED was indeed good, and after awhile I started getting used to the dubs(save the dub for Lacus' songs). SEED Destiny however is a trainwreck that didn't know what it wanted to be. I think I read somewhere that it was supposed to be some kind of allegory to or at least influenced somewhat by the confusion of the current war in Iraq. If you ask me, they succeeded in spades in that regard. I was confused and irritated as fuck.

Best DS game now ported to worlwideweb

Awesome thread, guys. -
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and just toss out my idea that casual gaming is, much like The Damned put it, marketing and PR in action. Also, there is no such thing as a casual game due to the fact that there is no such thing as a hardcore game either. There is only the game. There are definitely casual and hardcore players, but this moniker has more to do with how familiar a person is with a game or how much time they put into gaming in general.
-
So how about that curve ball?
-
I'm pretty worried about the industry as a whole to be honest.
-
I still stand firm in my belief that there is no such thing as a casual game.

It pains me so much that they don't continue the Berserk and Claymore animes as both mangas are not only much further in the story, but much more awesome. Unfortunately the weak "ending" to the Claymore anime pretty much ensures they'll never do it unless it's a total redo. I also forgot to recommend Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino. It has a bit more focus than the first season, and is much better(even though I thought the first season was great). The art direction is different, but the season itself is great.
-
Also been watching Phantom - Requiem For The Phantom as well as the new version of Full Metal Alchemist. New FMA is quite the departure from the first series and I think I like it, while Phantom is pretty much another girls with guns in the same vein as Noir, but mixed with The Professional and a little Gungrave as well. I'm lovin' it.

I'd totally recommend the first season of Haruhi. Season 2 is quite literally stuck in a loop. No seriously, the gang is caught up in a time loop created by her and the past 5 episodes have been the same exact thing with minor alterations and no resolution. I have no idea who thought this would be a good idea for TV. And yeah, Gundam 00 S2 was pretty weak compared to season 1 and it even got progressively worse.

What genre of music is Final Fantasy VIII's "Eyes on Me"?
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to sephfire's topic in General Discussion
Never... EVER... EVER mention this song anywhere. It took me a week to get that retarded song out of my head the first time I heard it. After that I had to mute the game every time. Also, the original language versions of the songs are generally better. Hell, that goes for any song. This is especially true for Melodies of Life and Kiss Me Goodbye. Not TERRIBLE in English, but not as great either. -
So the other thread went on into the oblivion that is nonexistence, so I thought I'd go ahead and create another thread. So what's everyone watching? What's coming up in the coming months that we should look out for? Was anyone annoyed by Gundam 00 S2? Discussion commence!

So how 'bout dem pee es threes ya'll? -
I wouldn't hold your breath on it, but I also wouldn't lose any sleep over it either. I thought the game was pretty fun on the 360(graphical glitches and all), but the farther I got into the story, the more disinterested I was becoming. Also in order to actually survive several story battles, you'll need to make it a habit to do ALL the sidequests which encompass over 50% of the game, or you WILL be murdered. In fact, there are characters and parts of the world map(like towns n' stuff) that you'll outright miss if you don't go through all the mundane fetch quests. A bloody shame since I thought so highly of the game originally.

Video Game Sales Down for the Year

All you have to do is say "You know, I think we should stop with the big budget nonsense." -
Video Game Sales Down for the Year
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to Avatar of Justice's topic in General Discussion
What the industry really needs to do is take a break from trying to raise the bar on every single game they put out. Enough with the budget-crushing photo realism and large, but ultimately dry-sounding Hollywood-esque orchestral scores. Why not just create stylized graphics? Why not just use a really good synth/mixer/etc. setup for sound? Publishers also need to learn to spread out their game releases throughout the year. The deluge of titles last year during the holidays was bloody crazy, and that shit needs to stop. From what I'm seeing with all the release delays though, it looks like they're just going from a crazy Nov - Dec to a crazy January. I'll also echo some of the sentiment here. Listen to the fans, not the goddamn stockholders. If you produce a product that nobody wants to play(read: buy), then you're not making either party happy. Of course this goes both ways since we see so many people crying out for new IPs, while screaming that they'd better not dare take away their Final Fantasy or Gears of War or there will be hell to pay. Finally, the economy is in the shits. Nobody has any money to buy a few $60 videogames a few times in the month like publishers want to believe, especially when there are other personal finance issues to deal with. Let's face it: Video games are a hobby and a fun diversion, but ultimately that's all. They're just a luxury that a lot of people just can't afford much of lately.
