PS3 Does Well In Japan, X-box 360 Left Out...
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to Dyne's topic in General Discussion
Well I do like my FPS on occasion, but I can tell you that I'm enjoying FFXI, Eternal Sonata, Beautiful Katamari, DOA4, DOAX2, and Ace Combat 6 on my 360 just as much. -
I feel bad for not liking Ocarina of Time.
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to Jaybell's topic in General Discussion
From the way I've been seeing from many sites, the general timeline is the following: Ocarina of Time(with the 7 year later future becoming an alternate universe) Majora's Mask(what with Link slowing down time in Termina's dimension and going back to the beginning of the 3 days thousands of times... time line-wise anyway, Hyrule has gone through several centuries and the flood occurred) Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass are next followed by LtTP, which is actually a cleverly made sequel to OoT. I believe the Oracle games come next followed by Link's Awakening, which is then followed by Zelda 1 then II. I have no idea where the Minish Cap fits. Anyway, yeah, nostalgia and such... -

I don't understand how I can be nostalgic if I go back to play these games on a regular basis. My favorite Final Fantasy? FFIV, and I still play it often. Great story and ATB is fun. Favorite Mario? Toss up between SMW2, SMB3, and Mario 64. I could go on, but you get my point by now. These games are fun to me if just for the atmosphere of the game itself. Nostalgia isn't a factor. -

Problem I see is that people attribute a lot of what makes an old game great to nostalgia, and I don't agree with that. -

I guess it's just me when I say that I can still go back to Ocarina of Time and still enjoy the hell out of it. i don't think I'd use a word like Dshu, but it really WAS that great and to me it still is. Majora's Mask is more like an aftershock if you will, but it was still enjoyable. And I love Mega Man 2 still, but it's because I still love the bosses(some of my fav robot masters), the music, and the FUCKING QUICK BOOMERANG. Nostalgia doesn't have much to do with it. -
Halo 3 was as solid as my straight 6 while playing it, which is to say, rock hard. No but seriously, what are the main points to this game? It looks pretty cool, but the only gameplay mechanic that I've seen of particular note is how interactive the crowds are(which is pretty cool).

I honestly don't know enough about the game to be excited.

IS Blood on the Asphalt the soundtrack for SF2HD?
Malaki-LEGEND.sys replied to dsx100's topic in General Discussion
Which I totally agree with. The music should never steal the show in a video game(unless it was explicitly stated), but rather it should serve as ambiance while still slightly adding it's own piece to the puzzle. Thank You, Deejay and Spitting Narcissism are my two favorite tracks out of the whole project, but they wouldn't work without heavy retooling(if they could work at all). -

They wouldn't. End of story. -
So any news on a release date for a stateside version of FFIV DS yet?

I could see I Don't Fight Boys, Army Girl, Mercenary Boxing, Made in USA, Flying Heaven, Urban Uppercut, Communist Jungle, New Mexican Thunderbird, and Murder Instinct as some tracks that could work great, but a few might need some reworking. Fingers are definitely crossed for this one. -
So anyone pick up Ace Combat 6 yet? Impressions?

This is some seriously exciting news. I kind of feel jealous, but I feel even more awesome that Capcom is even considering it. And yeah, I can definitely see that a bunch of tracks on BoTA would need to be left out or reworked quite a bit to work. Still, good luck gang. -
That's Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume, buster. Also, the BX? What branch are you in, soldier?

Video game survey for class - ULTRA SHORT - win an album

Done and done. -
All right then good. I was freaking out for a second since for some reason I had remembered thinking that it was narrated. Sucks that you thought it was boring. I guess it might have something to do with my music background(and the fact that I love quirky JRPGs), but I thought that that was a great inclusion into this already great game. Seriously, I'm having way too much fun with my 360. And to think that I just wanted it to say that I own Halo 3.
-
So is it normal that there's no voice heard during the linear notes detailing Chopin's works in Eternal Sonata or no?
-
That was pretty badass.

ITF Moon college Taekwon Do.
-
Yeah, I went with BK and I don't regret it. I have the insatiable desire to play it at all times, even though I have to practice for my Taekwon Do skills test. I might grab DDR later on since a friend of mine has like 3 different versions for the PS2. I'm gonna grab Eternal Sonata next being that I need my JRPG fix. I'm just glad to see so many Japanese games making it to the 360 now.

Sakura. I loved Sakura. Of course I know she's probably not gonna make it in SFIV, but it can't hurt to dream.

Ok... Fuck... Capcom is coming back. Street Fighter 4!? FUCK. YES. I was excited about Bionic Commando, albeit nowhere near as excited about this. I think I'm going into shock. I hope they bring some more Alpha fighters into the mix. Alpha was arguably my favorite next to SF3.

Yes. Very.
