The ending is some serious business alright. It sucks, because Zack has to be one of the ONLY well adjusted protagonists we've seen for the entire FFVII story, and he bites it, but went down fighting, 'cause that's just how much of a badass he really is.

This looks like some sort of homage to nostalgia. Not interested.

So I grabbed Final Fantasy Tactics about a week ago, probably gonna grab either Dracula X Chronicles, Lumines or Wild ARMs XF by the end of this week. Final Fantasy Tactics is BOSS. Of course, we already knew this, but now it's HANDHELD BOSS. Plus there are a few nifty things added such as being able to unlock Balthier as a party member as well as new classes(Onion Knight and one more I think). For starters, the script has been totally rewritten. Don't get me wrong, it's still the same game, but the story is THAT much more enjoyable with this new "ye old" English feel. Much better than the original piss poor localization the first time around. Also, new cutscenes are pretty cool too, nice look and voice acted. Several problems though with the port is that some of the sound effects thus far that I've heard are really off. Instead of wind blowing, you hear some kind of beep or something. Also, the frame rate goes rather slow when using special abilities of any kind. Nothing too bad to detract from the game though. Overall: Very happy. Also, I'm reading around that Sony is going to be introducing Skype to the PSP and possibly 3G connectivity(rumored from what I've read thus far) in the next few firmware updates. Confirmations?

Yeah, why the hell isn't there a big birthday thread like there used to be? More importantly, why do you all feel the need to make a thread about a day that is probably insignificant to almost every other poster here(no offense, it's just that we don't know who you are. This IS the internet after all). These things are on the same level of fad threads at this point.

I'm probably gonna catch hell for this, but he sounds like nothing more than a rabid Nintendo fanboy. He lost me when he said Smash Brothers Brawl was the best thing to ever happen, and then proceeded to rag on DOA because of "jiggly physics". No.

Quite literally, it's so awesome it's painful. Seriously, there are NO holds barred anymore(which isn't to say that there ever were). It's pretty much anyone's guess as to what's gonna happen with everyone now. I love this.

It's amazing how time consuming the missions are. I still have 60% left though... 25 hours later. >.>;

Yeah, that pissed me off the first time I started a new game+. What's more annoying is that's a good 150 missions...

Holy run-on sentences, Batman! So I saw the first episode of Vampire Knight. It's definitely got that whole bishoujo feel that them Japanese girls are into, but being that I'm totally gaga for anything occult, especially vampire stuff, so I'm a happy camper with it.

Hells no! I lurvs my baby. I'm actually on my third playthrough for Crisis Core. I don't think I've ever wanted to play a game as much as this one. Also might be grabbing Wild Arms XF today or tomorrow. Only heard good things.

I said I speak Japanese, not that I can read it. Screw Kanji with a rusty spoon. That said, I pretty much did the rounds with a basic japanese language page I found on about.com. It's actually very handy and covered most of the basics as well as things like prepositions, pronouns, verb conjugation, and sentence form. Japanese is my 4th language, so it wasn't hard to grasp at first, but yeah, really try to get a feel for it by just watching anime and anything in Japanese really. Also have practice conversations. If you can't do it with anyone, just talk to yourself or something.

Even if you're doing it just for the sake of your nerdy whims(like I pretty much did at first), learning a new language is a pretty good skill regardless and marketable.

Wait... There was a second season of Tsubasa? I thought it was just the first season and the OVA...

1. Amazingly enough(and I was shocked when I heard this), there are people who haven't played FFVII or have seen AC. Of course I guess I'll concede that it's a moot point, since it's like not knowing Jesus dies in The Passion of The Christ. :/ 2. orly?

Well I can definitely agree with the boldness of Code Geass, and I'm actually glad that it's willing to go that far. I mean the whole depiction of Britannians as brutal assholes made me think "shit dood". And I do like the series, but I think the convoluted ending to the first season left me somewhat annoyed. The problem I had with the first episode of this season was that it seemed to suffer from "sequelitis" in it's presentation. Yeah, it was cool, but it seemed off somehow... I dunno. I'm still gonna watch it though. As far as themes for the show, my favorites were Colors and Mosaic Kakera. October seems so far away...

Spoilers, dude. Also I bet I can get you to buy a PSP.
