Sorry peeps but I might have to sit this one out. School and work are heating up and the GRMRB has pretty much drained me of any Mega Man material. I might come up with something, but it probably won't be the songs I claimed and I can't even pretend to promise I could make the dealines. Sorry. My Documents folder has things in it that I do not want any more. But Windows says I need the owners permission to delete the files. There's only one problem. I AM THE FUCKING OWNER. I have tried every security tab in the properties, every sharing tab, every security function and nothing will let me get rid of these files. Thet're not system files or anything. Just some old project files from Visual Studio. I am a first time Windows user and it should not be this hard to remove files from my own documents folder! Help please! EDIT--I fixed it. Please delete this thread before everyone finds out how dumb I am

I didn't say anything about loading times. Its the actual picture quality that bothers me. I wonder if anyone at Vigil Games saw the main title screen of Darksiders and said "Hey we've got some nasty compression going on in this animation. Maybe we should bump up the bitrate a little." And I also wonder if someone else said "We can't there isn't enough room for it if we do."

That's the problem. I don't want the backlight on and the OS automatically turns it on. If I use the buttons to lower the backlight, it still won't trun off when it's set to 0. It's very very faint, but it won't completely turn off :/

Its a built-in mic and the OS recognizes it, but when I test it out, it doesn't register any sound. I haven't really fiddled around with it because I never really use my built-in mic, but it's only real hardware problem I've had besides the keyboard backlight acting up.

If you have a Mac with an Intel processor, it might be better to dual boot. I did it (it's fairly easy) and it's been working great. Parallel booting uses a TON of CPU and RAM so a lot of programs will lock up/not run unless you have a really powerful setup. To dual boot, its best to have a good amount of space (30+ GB) left on your hard drive for Windows and all the programs/files you want to have. Dual booting basically splits (i.e. partitions) the hard drive into two separate drives, allowing you to (virtually) have two different computers (one Mac OS X, one Windows) in one machine. EDIT- It might also be a driver issue. I can't get the microphone to work on the Windows side of my machine and I have the newest drivers from Apple.

This is what Microsoft wants to do with the XBox (I think they were planning on calling it the 360 Plus) which will come with the Natal in the package with the system. Honestly, there's always room for improvement in the consoles. I, for one, am sick and tired of the blatant lying on the back of game boxes (especially the XBox 360 games). Most of them are NOT 1080p NATIVE. They are upscaled by the system. At least the PS3 games have the decency to highlight the native resolution. But I am disappointed at the lack of true Full HD games. I know 720p is technically HD but let me tell you it kills the experience a little to play Darksiders on a 40 inch TV and you see huge jaggies. (At least throw an anti-aliasing filter on it! LitteBigPlanet runs in 720 but with a little anti-aliasing, you'd never know) Native 1080p graphics kick so much ass. The problem is, current consoles struggle with 1080p (and rightly so, it is an incredibly large image to render). I think we all agree Nintendo needs to do two things with it's next system: HD graphics, and a real online network (not the bullshit they've been feeding to us so far). As far as this generation goes, I've spent way too much money on these consoles to see them go yet, and they still have a lot of potential. I am most excited for the PlayStation Motion Controller. I think RE5 is supposed to be re-launched in the spring with the PSMC. And I want more PS3 exclusives that utilize the superior storage space of Blu-Ray. Darksiders and Borderlands had some pretty noticable compression artifacts in some of the menus and loading screens and such that could have been avoided if they had used more space on the disc. But, since it was multi-platform, they were limited to the space of a DVD

This is an idea me an my friend have had for a while now. There's this bar in the South Side called 1311 and we wanted to open a gaming bar right down the street and call it 1337. Pretty much everything Yahtzee plans to do at the Mana Bar, we wantyed to do. Maybe he's looking to start a franchise....

Fighting: I prefer characters with a long reach so I can place myself accordingly to strike. I can compensate for slowness with good strategy and I can overcome weak attacks with good placement/combos, but if I can't reach somebody, I'm fucked. Examples: Nightmare (SoulCalibur), Link (SSB) FPS: I have Rambo syndrome and I tend to run into the line of fire and unleash a whole clip on someone or give them a dose of buckshot to the skull. Needless to say, this only works in games like Borderlands when I can sufficiently bulk up my character to survive such a feat. Strategy: I use speed and placement to my advantage. I like fast units with excellent maneuverability so that I can hit-and-run very effectively. Sometimes I get a couple brutish units to form a line of defense or do a powerful offensive, but most of my units are lighter, faster units. Action: ACTION GAMES WITHOUT DODGE/JUMP BUTTONS ARE STUPID. I need to have that speed to fight. Games like Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed drive me up a goddamn wall. I much prefer Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Maximo, and recently Darksiders. Racing: Its all about speed. I love a fast vehicle, regardless of grip or weight. Kodiak (we call it The Bear) in Excite Truck and the Fire Stingray in F-Zero are both somewhat difficult to drive, but their speed is unmatched. Basically, I'm a speed junkie (except in fighting games). The faster I can move, the more time I have to plan my moves.

NYE works best for me because I am definitely off during that time. School starts for me the same week that is proposed (13-16) and I would hate to miss the first day or so of MAGFest for classes

1. Buy a good camera so I can take a hell of a lot more pictures at MAGFest! 2. Finish my epic Ghostbusters halloween costume (with full Proton Pack/Neutrona Wand/Ghost Trap!) 3. Try to be a lot more active with OCR projects/compos 4. Get back into game programming and maybe finish one of my prototypes

I had an idea that would incorporate the Dr. Light/Capsule theme from X1 and X2 with the Title Screen from X1. I guess I'm asking to claim the X1 Title Screen but I do want to use the X1/X2 Dr. Light Theme in the mix.

Um, the bracket shown in the thread is different from the one you showed earlier. When you click on it, it shows the right match ups, but the pic in the thread is wrong I think. Am I up against Time Man or Galaxy Man?
