  1. You would have to be very fast and have plenty of time. If you can produce in like 2-3 weeks it's still possible.
  2. My most played song has been Black Light Machine by Frost* for years. 188 plays, the next nearest song is 104 plays (which is the song after it on that album, lulz). If you listen to it, you'll notice that it is in fact awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPlqVwjDfUw
  3. Gario has wav'd so go him. I re-checked my final wavs folder and there's actually 37 finished tracks now, woop.
  4. Well I can agree with that. I mean, I've ended up collabing with people on the project because they ran out inspiration. If I don't know why someone is struggling (be it time or inspiration) then I can't help .
  5. Well it's not just two people at the moment, but there's also the issue of those tracks being key tracks. I mean really these are the tracks that just need to get done: dark messenger eternal harvest esto gaza terra crossing those hills (main theme) boss theme When those are done, everything else is being cut no matter what so if you're one of those people imma come get u.
  6. Mostly because I don't have an entire discography of albums or a company that makes sample libraries or several hundred dollars worth of microphones to give away. Other then that it's a sound prospect for sure.
  7. People already on the album allowed to get in on this? Dat prize...
  8. I would play a Biothesda rpg. I would throw money at that shit.
  9. Yeah, s'alrite. The mix is the weak point here, drums are too loud and over-compressed even for the style and it left me a little bit on the headachey side. There's a humongous scoop in the midrange which has taken the impact out of the rhythm guitars. Bass is barely there at all. It's a pass but a bit borderline on the production. YES
  10. Check out the XLN addictive drums demo as well. It's quite versatile. It's probably the only drum library I've ever been able to manually sequence a drum roll in that actually sounded like a drum roll. Definitely got epic velocity layering but its a bit limited in terms of number of kit pieces.
  11. It's been done to great effect by a hilariously awesome swedish guitarist:
  12. Fucking football manager 2012. Hours and hours and hours spent in vain trying to get a shit club to be able to afford to buy anyone decent and then you finally win something and you get a text message from the chairman something like: "We expected this achievement and we expect you to repeat the result next season." GEE I'M SO FULFILLED! The better question is why do I keep going back to play my most frustrating game.
  13. Yeah the glitching is a bit ott, as is some of the drum writing. Not the greatest synths or samples either. Considering all that negative stuff, it comes across very well thanks to the detail in the arrangement as Emu noted. As a whole it's pretty cool. YES Note: There is a fairly ridiculous resonance at the following times: 0:19-43 2:15-40 3:44-end Probably one of the items of ethnic production in serious need of an EQ cut. I think it's worth asking for that to be fixed because once you notice it, it's very annoying.
  14. What they said. Pendulum do a bit more then this and you knows it . NO
  15. I don't really have anything bad to say about what you've done here, but it just doesn't really go anywhere. I feel like this should be building up to something but it just kinda goes along at the same pace and then suddenly fades out. I think you've got a solid base here but really we're looking for something a bit more developed. There's plenty of room to build on what you've got here. It sounds like you could very easily make this twice as long and much more exciting. No problems really with the production, but there's much more potential for the arrangement. NO, but plz resubmit
  16. hahaha, touche. But srsly, when you hear it you'll understand.
  17. I think enough people have highlighted enough areas to show that this could be improved quite a bit. Particular things that I noticed: Drum sound is very odd, detached from the mix. The piercing bells. The filtered synth is a bit over the top/muddy. Bit of work on those particular areas needed for me, but check out what the others guys wanted too. NO
  18. I got three weeks with nothing to do. These unfinished guys are in for serious bothering/help.
  19. Not bad at all. As OA said it's definitely not the punchiest rock sound I've heard but I think it does enough right, still pretty enjoyable. Good guitar work, great timing precision even if the riffs are simple, you can hear the polish that's gone in there. Synths are worked in okay. I'm good with this. YES
  20. Interesting submission, very cool source. Not really sure what it's trying to be, as it's all kinda basic synths and then some fairly intricately sequenced real drums. Synths sound very old and on the low quality side, and the soundscape is pretty thin as a result. Need some more layers in there to fill it out or some different elements in there. I'm not sure it works as a whole due to the contrasting element styles. It's hard to suggest what you would need to do as I'm not sure what direction you were trying to take it in, so sorry I can't be more helpful. NO
  21. Yeah really not much to say about this other then it's pretty sweet. Ambitious but pulled off well. Although you loose manpoints for dragonforcing that lead line. YES
  22. I agree with OA, the heavier drums that kick after a while should be the intro drums, and then an even bigger kick at least should drop in. The kick in particular is just a little weedy. Some fairly intricate synth lines that work very well going on, but there's just a lack of energy. You could do with some more high end, either EQ on the synths or a really solid hi-hat/crash. At the moment all the cymbal samples sounds quite nasty and are very quiet. Definitely needs a bigger kick, and you may as well take a look at the snare while you're at it. The build up to the drop in could be a little more dramatic too. Very promising arrangement, just needs a bit more drive and energy in the production. I'd really like to hear another version of this. NO, plz resub
  23. I agree with Emu, it sounds like you're focusing on individual sounds rather then how or even if they fit together. Ends up feeling to a bunch of presets whacked together rather then a designed mix. You've got to do your synth choice and subsequent mixing holistically. From about 1:30 onwards, the only thing linking it to the source is the "do do, do, do do" thing. If that wasn't there it could be anything really. All the way to the end at that point the track looses it's direction and becomes a bit of a meander. So I think there's still a way to go on both the production and arrangement fronts. NO
  24. Pffft, this Willrock guy, who does he think he is muscling in on my British niche. I maintain my theory that Will was born 30 years too late for his time. YES
