  1. Yeah, you have to submit them separately unless they are in the initial post flood.
  2. Ok. Well I agree. They shouldn't get riled up only about on-disc. Everyone should just get pissed off about DLC in general. As for the reason why? Probably just because it's more obvious that DLC is a money-grabbing sham when it's already on the disc.
  3. It is inconvenient to deny me access to content, when I have payed money for a product. The convenience with which they inconvenience me, is of no consequence. It's very simple: If you have shit that works by release date, put it in the game. If you have shit you want to put in the game, take the time and put it in the game. DLC is crap on or off-disc, almost universally over-priced, and makes me feel like every game I buy is trying to reserve future estate in my wallet.
  4. Yeah I was more talking about LASS lite, which is sometimes on sale for $300 so check back every now and again. It's exactly the same as the full one, only difference being you can't do divisi sections. So you can't get half of the first violin section to play something different from the other half. And you can't get the leader to play a solo :3.
  5. Check out LASS (LA Scoring Strings) also. It's strings only but very very good.
  6. If they have features ready for release enough to put them on the disc, I fail to see how it is anything other then a douche move to deny access to it. I hate DLC as it is, mainly because it's ridiculously overpriced. Think about what you're paying for: COD MW 2 £40 All of the work that goes into the engine/graphics/animation/audio/weapons etc 10 hours of single player 25 Co-op missions 16 maps Stimulis Package £10 5 maps crap all else You're just not getting your money's worth, so if I found out today that that shit was on the disc when I bought it, I would go mental.
  7. Still waiting on some music I'm afraid, and staff changed their mind about letting me submit what we have while we wait to save time for various reasons. I'm just as disappointed that it's taking this long but I've very recently reminded the last few guys we're being held up and to get a move on.
  8. Sorry, I'm not ignoring it on purpose, I just haven't had time to give it a proper listen. Keep getting home at 1am in no condition to listen to anything critically. Hopefully tomorrow!

  9. Well obviously the body wood has an effect, I'm just saying it won't change the sound as much as changing the fretboard wood or the pickups.
  10. In list of importance: fretboard wood pickups fret material body wood neck wood The body wood is not as important as people think, especially once you've got the distortion turned on. If you want to be capable of a glassy strat tone at all, you pretty much have to go maple fretboard. Here are a some good wood guides: http://www.suhrguitars.com/wood.aspx http://www.warmoth.com/Bass/Options/WoodDescriptions.aspx Do you want any specific advice cause this is a bit of an open question?
  11. Awesome idea. I'd be available for guitar but I'm not that jazz. pm AndyP, he's pretty jazz.
  12. Well encoded high bit-rate mp3 sounds fine to most people on their average listening equipment for the majority of music. As a classical recording engineer I grant you that it can impact the subtleties of music once you know what to listen for but... well too bad. We just changed the max bit-rate on OCR into the minimum one so progress is being made. I'm sure OCR will periodically review when it is financially trivial to start hosting higher quality. We do release lossless versions for the album releases because they are distributed by torrent and therefore the increased file size isn't a burden on the website's hosting cost and allows OCR to remain free :3.
  13. Yeah, little disappointed that I didn't see anything about that in the writeup. Also heard some Dance of Eternity in there. It's obviously pretty epic in general though.
  14. Yeah I quite like the idea of having alternate artwork. The main artwork just needs the credits right now etc.
  15. It's tuned in 5ths man. 5ths! Instant power chords.
  16. bwaaaaaaaaaa That second one is hilarious.
  17. I'm breaking my no replying to agree with you partially. You're right. They did apologise for FFXIII and state they were going to do the next thing properly. However I feel like they didn't move on properly. The correct response to making something badly received is to move on properly, not to append it. It should have been time to carefully consider FFXV. I agree that disrespectful maybe isn't the word, we'll see what they do next :3. Ok srsly this time. Laters.
  18. Sorry but I just have to laugh at anyone who thinks I'm not buying it to be cool. I make prog rock video game remixes, since when do I care about being cool. All I'm sayin' is I spent £65 on the collectors edition of the first game and I have never been so disappointed in a video game. This sequel was not the reaction I wanted to that disappointment, and it definitely wasn't what I wanted that money put into. I just want to see Squeenix treating their fans (and their franchise) with a bit more respect. I can see this will go nowhere helpful already so I won't be posting here again. If you bought it and loved it then that's awesome and I have no intention of trying to convince you otherwise.
  19. Yeah I won't be buying this. It shouldn't exist, and they're just trying to squeeze money out of us with those extra assets they created last time around. It could be the best Final Fantasy game ever made and I still wouldn't buy it. I don't think any games company should be rewarded for that kind of attitude, especially with a franchise with such a positive history.
  20. Herpa derp. To be honest I need a bit more specific information as I just had a listen and the information I've been given about what to actually play is a bit vague.

  21. iZotop Vinyl is a free plug-in that does a good impression this kinda thing, might need to combine it with an EQ as described above.
  22. Well I don't think you have to understand our votes. It just doesn't work as a whole to me. Neither does anything Schoenberg ever wrote. I feel like both are trying to be a bit complex for the sake of it and end up just not being that enjoyable, but the people who will dig it will dig it strongly. There are cases where we let production gripes go because of a cool arrangement and that's fine. In this case however I feel like the production was not executed well enough to actually make the ambitious arrangement work in the first place. That's my take on it anyway.
