  1. Judging by this review http://www.rpgamer.com/games/other/nds/spectrobes/reviews/spectrobesstrev1.html pretty bad. lolz
  2. Fixed to avoid spoilers. Anyway *spoilers* I believe the rest of the story takes place years later when Light has almost taken over the world *spoilers* Filler? There were only a few episodes of filler in Monster, of a 74 episode series. The old English couple; the lonely doctor in the village; the illegal Asian doctor; Gun training (1 and 2); the multicultural celebration/assassination; the black market doctor with Heckel; Eva's sexual exploits... Damn, Monster did have a lot of filler. Edit: At first I hated it, but after a while I began singing it "hey hey ningen SUCKER, ah ningen ningen *expletive*" It fits better with death note in a way.
  3. Lolz, emo'd by kira, Lord of emos. On a side note, *spoilers* most of the important characters died in episode 25. *spoilers* Yay!
  4. Then explain Mickey Mouse lack of aging and why Zell looks nothing like either Cloud or Tifa >.>
  5. I was thinking the same thing, but that would not be consistent with KH2 as Roxas is not longer a separate entity to Sora. Its more likely to be some random anime style characters; e.g. some generic Guardians of the Keyblades or "I must avenge my world" etc... O yeah, can anyone explain to me why there are so many keyblades now? In KH1 it was a major revelation for there to be a second keyblade. Now we have fields of keyblades, not so unique now
  6. Just get VLC and/or http://www.cccp-project.net/ codec pack; it will solve all your problems.
  7. Damn, that was was Lord of the Rings, Minas Tirith final battle, Legolas Epic x 10
  8. ... that isn't even out yet... Death note is great, but its not my favorite. That title must go to Monster And I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads, the names of blasphemy. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, "Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?" Bow to its brilliance!! [/offtopic]
  9. Yeah, I'm a few episodes into the second half and its beginning to get a little tedious. At least 70% of each episode consists of this ATM: L: *Implies Light is Kira" Light: OMG, how could you say such a thing!? L: But you are >.> Light: *Intense split second reflection* O yeah.... I am... duh... Everyone Else: OMFG!>!!>!!!?!?!? L: *Pointless crazy analytical reasoning why Light is kira, which is in fact senseless and not all that analytical.* Light: Let me prove my innocence even though I'm not innocent, but there is no evidence concluding to my guilt, yet you still believe I'm guilty likely due to that major man crush you have, which explains why you chained me to yourself. *out of breath* L: *Eats cake* No *Everyone forgets this ever happened* rinse, evil corporate plot, repeat.
  10. Like overcoat said, if you want some serious anime look no further than the series “Monster”, its one of the best anime/manga series I have ever seen. It is a psychological thriller about a Japanese Doctor working as surgeon at hospital in Germany (The entire thing is set in (Germany/Czech Republic). After a series of events that lead him near to the end of his professional career and personal life, he saves a 10-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his head against the orders of the Hospital Director. Afterwards the three highest doctors above him are killed via poison thus securing his professional career; in the chaos of the deaths the boy and his twin sister (being treated for shock) disappear. The rest of the story is set seven years later. What is great about this series it is relies on no special effect or visuals or fantasy settings, but purely on narrative and character development. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monster_%28anime%29

  12. Why don't you try dual booting Linux to determine whether it's the OS or hardware that is the issue (just throwing out ideas)? Also, you could try some hardware stress tests like http://www.memtest86.com/ for your RAM or other hardware to get a full diagnostic.
  13. Just barely legal. I believe like the anime it's legal as long as it hasn't been licensed before the subbing is done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. For the scanlations try out: http://www.mangahelpers.com/ http://mangahelpers.com/forum/index.php?topic=7035.0 (Lists sources for older chapters)
  14. Episode 135 was the last episode before the fillers started and the end of rescue arc. The fillers continued until episode 220. Episode 221, which comes out later this week returns to the manga storyline. I stopped watching after the curry arc (around 150-ish), the fillers were a pile of crap, avoid watching them at all costs.
  15. I will try to be sensitive with this. I would recommend using a bittorent client for P2P. We even have a bittorent tracker for all of the 1500+ arrangements and projects on the site, which is highly recommended to help save bandwidth. However, as smoke said there are some legality issues about discussing the subject of P2P here that OCR does not want to be associated with. I will list only clients: http://www.utorrent.com/ (Best IMO) http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ http://www.bittorrent.com/ (The original)
  16. I heard they removed a number of Kefka's classic lines like, "Son of a submariner!" and "Run! Run! Or you will be well done!" Is this true? If so it makes me very sad
  17. I'm guessing a budget of $200 as that is about what you need to spend to make it worth your while. Why not check these two out, one ATI the other Nvidia: ASUS ATI x1950 256MB Pro $179.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814121031 Compared to your current card: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=180&card2=466 or XFX Nvidia GeForce 7900GS 256MB $189.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150209 Compared to your current card: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=180&card2=443 Out of those the ATI x1950 is much better value and more powerful, but you might prefer Nvidia as they have better driver support for linux (if you are into that) and if you have brand loyalty to Nvidia for some reason etc... The two suggested compared: http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=443&card2=466
  18. Get a live CD (mainstream ones have them; ubuntu Desktop CD etc..) to try out distros and then dual boot for a while to get the hang of it. You definitely don't want to dive in straight away by deleting your windows partition as there is a learning curve and a high likelihood that you will be reinstalling several times It's well worth it though, and once you get the basics it isn't very difficult. In fact its easier to manage than windows IMO.
  19. I'm an avid ubuntu user, although I have used fedora and mandrake when I was testing out distros. Ubuntu is my favourite as it relatively easy to use and install with it's debian based package system and friendly community. Not once have I been told to RTFM, a gem sadly in many open source communities. I run ubuntu 6.10 on my laptop and my desktop, in which they are fully compatably with my hardware inculding wireless out of the box. It fulfils all my needs in sound and video editing and production (though more in sound could be desirable), and general usage. I do have a windows XP partition on my desktop, but that is only for games. I have a data hard drive formatted to ext2 so I can share files between windows and ubuntu with some extra drivers for windows. Right now I'm excited about two things with ubuntu/linux; ubuntu-studio (video and sound flavour of ubuntu) and the 3D interface beryl that makes vista and the mac look like a pile of crap in terms of aesthetics. http://ubuntustudio.org/
  20. Seems like it only support .mp4 and.mov. It's unlikely to support avi because many companies regard it as an outdated format (it came out in 1992). Edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Video_Interleave Wikipeida article
  21. Yeah, as seen http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6772 the most you are going to get is about 3 or rarely 4 PCI slots on new mobos. If you still can, you should see if they offer another mobo with more slots, otherwise consider usb. It seems that they are phasing out PCI, but inexplicably offering no new standard
  22. Yeah it sounds great, but it hasn't even reach alpha testing stage. Right now it's only an idea for most users. Can't wait for it though being a ubuntu user.
  23. You are quite misinformed. I have a mid range connection at £25. You could easily find a lower bandwidth solution below below £20. I have seen packages as low as £8 (although they tend to require a switching of phone providers).
