I wish I didn't forget this game's over all sound track. I ought to play it again.
The piano sample is very good , the strings are awesome and I like that forest flute (i think that's what it is =/); the soundscape is filled sufficiently; my only gripe is that it needs to pick up a bit more (In my opinion. Good stuff dude, keep it up
AND WOAH Jeremy Soul did this!!! No wonder it sounds familiar to Guild Wars' sound track, if only vaguely. That composer is damn good
Lol Joorrrrrb!!! Good ole homestarrunner >_>
Yeah this is definitely pro. The piano is mm mm sexy and the EQ is good (as far as my newb ears can tell), I find it a bit mundane to be honest, but that's just me, orchestrations tend to burn out after a while...unless it's Sephire's remix of Rising Falls or something like that. Over all this is damn good, keep it man.
Much better, but I agree with Skry try to find a new instrument to replace that first one later on, it does get a tad annoying =/ Over all composition: piano, strings, beat, choir etc are yummeh. Keep the good work flowing man and you'll get posted.
LoL...I'd kill for your samples and filter techniques dude lol. This is very phat man. I'm sorry I'm not very good at critiqueing, all I can say is that this is definately going in the right direction, and it's a lot better than my nub work
Okay, thanks for the suggestions and tips, I'll see what I can do. Though I think I'll call my song "Unorthodox Medley" so that I can justify the fact that I have 3 different parts in the song >_<, I'll see if I can make them a bit mroe cohesive though.
hmm, let's see the damage...opening song
Same starting though it sounds a bit thicker, could just be me. I love the arpeggio you got going on and the other synths...ohhh man that beat is sex in a can. MUCH BETTER How'd you make that reverse-cymbol-like sound? I WANT IT lol (if you can send me the sample that'd be awesome ty) I don't know how to critique the rest of the stuff, because it sounds fine to me.
And what's that? Finish your Megaman X3 song as well? OK
it's getting hawter. Sensei Tan showed me a better way to compress my stuff ^^. It clips a lot less now and the levels are less ear fatigueing. I decided to turn my drums into electronica - the beat is fast, but i think it fits in well with the main rhythm, which I changed a bit to make it more original and not too close to the source material.
Just gonna work on the 3rd phase of song now then I'll sexport it. You'll love the drum effects I got going for parts 2 & 3
well how many times can you revamp a "dark/serious" concept without making it sound just like the last competition...poetry!! Or some serious 'shrooms or LSD lol
Should I change the style of drums, i.e. make them electronic and a bit slower? - with fills of course. OR should I make the drums distorted industrial/with a new funky style?
Also I know that I need to reduce volumes/middle range and I don't like that new piano sample...lol.
OK...newest batch of horrors. http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/oaxz/Schala_remix_withNewBass_nStuff
EQ and bassline need improvement for sure, but I want to see if u guys think this is the right direction =)
Enjoy.
Meh...that's an opinionated statement there. I've heard some good songs that are about that length that keep me interested the whole way through. If you're into Heavy Metal, Opeth is real good for that.
