  1. I was gonna respond to that other post heh. You just have to do enough damage, there wasn't anything special about it, weapon or otherwise. You could've waited until later to do that fight though. I haven't faced Dracula again because his second form raped me (oh and Dracula is the end boss of like every Castlevania Kitsuta, although Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow treated things differently). I did however go forth trying to collect all the items from every enemy. So far I've collected most of them. I also have been trying to master certain subskills for the quests, but that has been taking so long. I'm fairly certain that I found all of the secret passages in the game though, thanks to a trademark item gotten from the typical guy that has it. Oh and Final Guard sucks ass, I hate collecting its items .
  2. I need to play this game again . Half a week to go...
  3. You liked Mega Man ZX, so I'm gonna have to go with yes. Somehow, liking the Castlevania and Megaman games goes hand in hand.
  4. So, I'm almost through with Castlevania, just got Dracula left. I'm taking the time to do the quests, which should take a while, but damn this is quite a game. It even eases things up for newbies to the Castlevania series, giving you ways to look at the percentage to get an item and a quick way to check the stats on monsters you've killed while in combat (select button). This is basically your standard Castlevania though - if you love the Castlevania series, you'll naturally love this game.
  5. Bahamut 1-0 vs. Dama, game #2 TBA.
  6. People have been bitching about that? That's retarded. Maybe we should start bitching that we can't be more lazy.
  7. The EB preorder came with the bonus pack though, which contained a 2 DS game holder with Castlevania written on it, a Castlevania stylus that extends, a 20th Anniversary artbook, a Castlevania foldout timeline, and a CD sampler with music from all of the Castlevanias.
  8. So in Castlevania, anyone figure out how to access 13th Street? I get mauled by the train back to the portal when I try to walk through the corridor. Edit: I tried Time Stop and that didn't work either. Apparently the train is immune . Edit #2: Nevermind, I figured it out and I'm retarded.
  9. Well, you can't tell too much by launch titles usually. I'd say give it some time when you see actual unique games for the system that shows off the system's prowess. Oh, and here's an odd result of a survey: Blu-ray inclusion in PS3 hurting it?
  10. How about a trip to a Virgin Megastore people? I'm sure everyone would love the opportunity to see what is possibly the biggest CD collection you can choose from in a brick & mortar store.
  11. If we do decide to do an acapella on the spot, I vote in Grand Central - it's huge, and got lots of people going through at that time of the year. Anyway, looks like we have some pretty good plans here, so keep'em going and make sure to keep the thread alive (and most importantly, not forget!).
  12. Yeah I saw that, one auction is going for over $80 for the whole package: http://cgi.ebay.com/Castlevania-Portrait-of-Ruin-w-25th-Anniversary-Gift-DS_W0QQitemZ290058232200QQihZ019QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. Castlevania kicks major ass. Just played 4 hours or so of it, and beat like 5-6 bosses or so. The preorder bonus is cool too - in the Castlevania timeline fold out, it reveals that the next Castlevania is going to be related to Bloodlines.
  14. Since when was the Goron theme classic? Anyway, all this acapella talk reminds me of an i2hub meetup we did in NYC - a UC Berkeley acapella group was at Grand Central and started up a gig there out of no where, which was interesting.
  15. Yeah, I'll be giving them out at the meetup is what I meant to imply there...my internet connection was limited like hell since I broke the 750 MB/24 hour period limit two nights ago.
  16. So, I got stuffs here that needs to go...at least 2 DS games here have been collecting dust for over an year and that I have determined need to go.
  17. Distantly related to the PS3, anyone who wants a PSP might like this: http://mywishlist.mylifemycard.com/featuredproducts.html PSP Entertainment Pack for $185. Today only, and you need to be an American Express member.
  18. Eh, I'm a grad student of mathematics at a top 15 school, and some others here have great credentials too (zircon is best techno artist of '06!). Not sure how we're druggies/hippies but alright...
  19. Fixed About the Wii, I have Zelda & Rayman, and 2 controllers & nunchucks.
  20. No age limitations for what we do! You just don't get a take a sip of my drink at dinner though, that's all .
  21. If it wasn't as cold I'd suggest resting in Central Park but oh well. Guess this goes to show that we need a summer one too. So, it looks like we have most of the places planned out?
  22. I'm willing to go overnight...I can bring a sleeping bag too . And just a note about trains, the last train is 1:30 am if I remember right. And if you don't mind a drive, there is always the wonders of Pizza Brew, the greatest pizza/pasta chain in Westchester .
  23. Hm, that sounds like a very good plan! For the museum part, there are quite a few museums around uptown there, such as the huge Metropolitan Museum of Art, and further north the famous Googenheim Museum ~80th st. As for the Barnes & Noble comment though - I highly doubt we'd be able to find a good spot in any though. Every B&N has a Starbucks, and every Starbucks I have seen in Manhattan is always PACKED! First paging this post though.
