  1. Didn't I get yelled at earlier for saying that was possible? Oh well, I just meant to say that if something goes wrong with your PS3, be it an out of the box malfunction or not, it would probably suck because it will be really difficult to get it replaced and stuff, what with the high demand and low supply of PS3s. I'm guessing something happened during shipping. I doubt they'd let something just go without testing it first. Actually, testing is usually on a small sample of units per shipment - it's just standard.
  2. Eww that looks disgusting. I'm too lazy to do that one. I'm too lazy to do that one, because I'm fairly certain it's not true. Actually, scratch that. Positive. sin(sin(sin(sin(0))))=0 cos(cos(cos(cos(0))))=0.65428979... How does plugging in 0 prove that it is not true? Edit: After plugging in numbers, I don't think it's true since cos cos cos cos x is close to 1 for almost all x (and greater than 0.5 for all x), and sin sin sin sin x is always close to 0. Edit: oops I was using degrees Um. Proof by counterexample? If sin(sin(sin(sinx))))=cos(cos(cos(cosx)))) is true, it must certainly be true when x=0. However, they aren't equal when x=0, so it can't be true for all x. But isn't the question to find such an x? If it is not true for x = 0, there is no reason why it can't be true for another x.

  5. Unfortunately, Verizon makes it quite difficult to change settings on my router .
  6. Bump! Updated first post, and here's another suggestion I'm throwing out there - the Chinatown Arcade is another fun stop if people want to stop by, it has arcade games galore like DDR, some korean rhythm game, and a lot of fighting games. It's quite the hardcore arcade place for gamers though.
  7. For those like Atomicfog, you should find this useful:
  8. Damn, I can't even connect to the internet with my DS or Wii even though I have a wireless router and I know I'm entering the WEP key right.
  9. Still doesn't takes away the fact that they're trying to fuck you up with overpriced stuff. Overpriced? Are we still talking about Mario64 DS? Its ONE game. Now look at Sony. $50 PSP games compared to $35 DS games, $700 PS3 compared to $250 Wii, $60 PS3 games compared to $50 Wii games. Who is fucking people up with overpriced stuff, yet still FAILING to make a profit? If you go back to the beginning of the discussion you will see that the topic was VC games. The port thingy came later, and it's not what I was referring to. EDIT: Also lol @ people calling doom on sony/nintendo this generation. Both are taking a big risk with their consoles, and both will do well. But for stupid fanboys I guess that's kinda hard to realize. Well, Sony's big risk is that they're placing the company on the line with blu-ray. They've poured so much money into it that it could be the end of the company if it fails.
  10. Jeez, calm down you guys, this is petty bickering.
  11. Yup, just connected and got it. Master Sword. Thanks for the reminder It came out the 17th, but you can still get it apparently. Yeah, it's until the 24th I think. I think I'll do it today or tomorrow.
  12. Those Wii email addresses are horrid . But that's kinda interesting that you get an email address with the Wii.
  13. So, anyone get that bonus from connecting to Animal Crossing WW to the Nintendo WFC?
  14. Well the problems I've heard about the PS3 are largely from others who work at retail, like some EBGames employees telling me that they had the PS3 crash 4 times on them the day before launch. I remember also seeing a picture of an error message saying that the particular PS3 is corrupted.
  15. Wait, have there been any major hardware problems yet? Compared with the broken Xbox 360's and all the fried Wii's the PS3 is actually a much more solid machine this time around. The only thing that is a clusterfuck is supply and demand aspect of the launch. Well, I've heard of mass crashing & freezing of the PS3. Also about the Wii, one of my friends has a broken Wii (it gives disc read errors for Wii Sports sometimes). From what I hear, there are more Wii problems than you'd normally see from a Nintendo launch though.
  16. So...I think I missed a sword skill stone (where you howl as a wolf) by Lake Hylia, does anyone know how to get that one?
  17. Maybe he means $30, or $40 in Japan? Super Mario 64 DS comes to mind though.
  18. I wasn't sure whether that was a joke post or not, but now I know . I've also been busy for a while (travelled 18 hours from Illinois to my alma mater, camped 18 hours for the Wii, Zelda addiction, etc.)
  19. Eek, I'm gonna have a hard time playing my games this week too (Black Friday shopping/camping + hanging out with two special OCR people + Twilight Princess addiction + most of Saturday travel).
  20. I'm on the third temple and I'm still amazed at this game - it deserves its #2 best game of all time Gamerankings average. It wows me in almost every way! (excepting graphics, but even still it's well used that I'm willing to forgive the Gamecube graphics, although it is amazing for Gamecube)
  21. Alright so I have the Wii & an extra wiimote/nunchuck for the meetup . Hopefully others may have games to bring for late night gaming, as I only have Wii Sports & Zelda for multiplayer. Continue posting/bumping though people, I won't be here much for this week due to busy break happenings.
  22. I'm only 5 hours into this game and holy shit is the first dungeon long as hell. Also looking at the map it seems like it's going to be a looooong game . Anyone else get that impression?
  23. Most of the people camping are resellers. Yeah, there are like 100,000 or so available in US I think, so I'm not going to be surprised if there's at least 10,000 of them up on ebay by the weekend. If I wasn't broke I would just get a Wii this weekend, but it looks like I'll have to wait awhile for that. 10,000? I'm willing to bet 50% of the launch or more are going to be ebayed. And for those who want confirmation on the Costco thing, here ya go (you need to get a forum membership to see but it's well worth it).
