It got to the point where nobody thought it would ever come out

Yesterday has been pretty quiet as far as WIPs/wavs go for a supposed final deadline. I have an updated WIP from XSTMusic that's not a midi! (all those on the project go comment on stuff for it in the project forum!) I also got one from Gario this morning To be fair to everyone though, I did mention about some stuff being an issue (uncontrollable circumstances, such as DarKsidE555 having his finger broken on his guitar playing hand) with several people though that ended up with me delaying when I want the final tracks in by, but everyone knows the expectation this time is that all the wavs need to be in asap. This album will come out before I leave for boot camp, bank it! We can possibly be seeing 20+ more wavs come in by the end of this month though. Get excited folks, everything is aligning for a sick album!

I feel the same way for this year and last year as far as the music goes - the music is just showing leaps and bounds of improvement in all facets & diversity compared to when I first started visiting the site. I know some disagree with me on this, but know that you have one person here who believes so, especially after relistening to most of the older stuff.

I knew that, I've seen Shenmue slot machines at casinos before.

Funny thing is, those clips are on a track on the Rockman X1 - 6 soundtrack. Edit: More WIPs! DJSBX, Cyril, and halc have brought on updates, with Cyril ready to be finished with another track! When we hit 30 final wavs, I will furnish one final teaser. Everyone will be blown away with what's coming when they hear the preview, it will have you salivating

This was a pretty hard source to tackle for many people - we went through two people beforehand who had too much trouble with it before soliciting Tony's help, and he did a damn good job considering the source material. Gotta love headbanging to the track though, solid aggressive metal.

The hotel rooms in the main hotel are also almost filled if I remember right.

I think the reference about preregistering asap is that they're expecting to sell out of registrations this year.

It's quite timely that I mentioned Bonkers' bonus track, as he sent me the final wav of it earlier today! I am going to add that Cyril the Wolf has a nice bonus track for us of the source tune Gravity from Mega Man Zero 2!

Ouch. I'll admit that I fell asleep in the concert room last year, during Select Start I think - I was just too exhausted from all of the happenings. Edit: So by popular demand, I will be up for leading a fun workout on Friday morning at 6 am. Who wants in on it? Also bring a bottle of water if you're interested in it!

Indeed, halc has a nice WIP for Commander Yammark. Cerrax has now also been added to the list of people green lighted for handing me a final wav. Expecting a slew of other wavs this week! Lastly, Bonkers is contributing his medley as originally seen during a DoD free month as a bonus track! He tweaked it a bit, more notably on the production side. Merged: Two more final wavs from Cerrax and Level 99 & Hemophiliac! We're making good progress towards the completion of everything - you're all going to love this album when all is said and done!

What is being trashed is the attitude, not necessarily the opinion. The attitude, quite bluntly, is fucked up. I don't think you even understand why it's messed up either. What you're doing is slamming a person/people for making an artistic decision to use vulgar lyrics & a certain sound design. And then going about trying to flood threads not even relevant to it because of a simple disagreement over that. I'm willing to bet some of us who have posted don't even necessarily disagree with some of the sentiment you're expressing, me included (in fact, my roommate and I were talking about this just last night after hearing some songs on the radio & being disgusted at them). This doesn't mean we're going to go out of our way to bother others who enjoy that music or anything like that. It's about tact & knowing what social boundaries in any given situation are there. Another example is if I hated what someone did to something (let's say musically for posterity), and then died. I'm not going to use the opportunity to spout a ton of hate over what he/she did. There are some things more important than art/entertainment out there to me, and I hope so to you as well.

I think this year I'll go to more of the concerts - liking the lineup!

That's probably a good thing - last thing you want is product confusion in an area (portable gaming) dominated by Nintendo.

First, I'm confused what this thread was split off of. Second, it's possible to not like something or someone but remain silent about it. There's many songs I hear near daily that I won't comment about to the person just out of respect for those boundaries of his/her preference. Musicians do songs for different reasons, and have different views about them. Not all want to be serious, or their music to be taken seriously, or agree with a view that all music has to sound a certain way or is automatically bad. Take that into account. Leave your view on the table and walk away - no need to keep at it. You only hurt perceptions of yourself & give added stress looking for validation of your view that is strongly personal if what I understand is correct.

Heh I never heard that Duane & BrandO song before for some reason. As for the tracks - some unexpected things happened to a few people, and there seemed to be an overwhelming feeling of pressure, so I decided to move back when I wanted all the final tracks. I've still been strongly encouraging final wavs whenever people had them almost ready since it helps give a more complete picture for the background stuff before release. It looks like we might be ready for a January release. With that said, now Ergosonic and Level 99 & Hemophiliac are ready to give a wav soon, with Bonkers possibly close to having one ready as well.

So for those who have been achievement hunting in Civ 5, there is a bugged achievement - in particular, the Magellan one. A fix is mentioned here: http://forums.2kgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89822

Today has seen some good action with the mixes - got a final wav in from Willrock, and one ready to be sent by Level 99 & Hemophiliac. In addition, more WIPs from Bonkers and Skummel. Also I hate you all for encouraging what I didn't want .
