It sounds like your sequencing skills are improving quickly, but your samples are still bringing this down. The piano sounds pretty nasty, particularly in the low-mids, and the other samples still feel pretty MIDI-ish to me. Your bass isn't sounding very rich either, it feels like it's coming through only in the lowest of low frequencies. Your arrangement is sounding really nice though, I think with some proper polish and a boost in sample quality across the board, this might have a chance. Hate to say it, though, but it's still well below the bar as-is. Improvement, though

Huh, thought I already covered this a long time ago. My bad. I really like what you've got going on here, it seems just about ready for primetime. You've got a lot of diverse synth sounds filling out the sound pallet, and the diversity and quality soloing/lead writing makes for a very interesting mix. Drums aren't amazing but I think they'll do in a pinch. That drum-only transition about 2/3rds through the song really breaks up your flow in an unpleasant way though It feels kinda pasted in and doesn't feel natural. In addition, some of your leads don't feel quite as up-front as they could be. I don't think you'd have a problem boosting them up just a little bit here so they're more prominent. Arrangement-wise, it feels pretty much fine aside from that weak transition, though I wouldn't mind a bit more variation on the part at :20 and later in the song, like Phonetic Hero said. Pretty good stuff overall though, I think this one will amount to some small tweaks and then it'll be ready.

Once we get writeups from Cyril for his 5 tracks, Krow gets in touch about his songs, and we get someone to master the rest of the unmastered songs, we could be very, very close to wrapping this up. I'm willing to just put in a few days solid and beast through the encoding and tagging, that's not a big deal. I just need help with the mastering.

I might be in over my head, haha. Either way, would love to get some opinions here. Also, is that brass riff in the middle of the song lining up properly? I can't tell.

Wow, this took me by surprise. It's very conservative but the production overall is really high quality. It does its own thing eventually with some original writing so if the lead writing was interpretive enough, this could definitely be OCR-quality material. This would definitely rock with some vocals or sax, hope that becomes a reality in the near future!

Alright, this feels like it's improving but I think ultimately, you're being limited by the software/samples you have to work with. The drum, piano, and synth writing is definitely getting pretty good. You've got some awesome improvisation that fits the creepy mood of the source, and those runs after about 2:35 on the piano are damn cool! The sequencing on the piano still doesn't feel very realistic, it feels a little bit too quantized. I also noticed with this listen that the intro feels very detached and there's no real flow between that and the body of the mix. It just fades in and out, and then there's another fade-in at the start of the next section. You can definitely smooth out that transition further with the tools you've got. In my honest opinion, I'm starting to worry that Garage Band just doesn't have expressive enough samples to really carry an arrangement like this. I'm not gonna say it can't be done, because I don't really know the limits on what your DAW can and can't do, but right now it feels like sample quality is the biggest issue working against you here :\ Your arrangement here is becoming increasingly better with each update, but the sound quality overall is bringing it down in a major way. Maybe a collab might be in order if you really want to bring this up to the OCR bar?

Alright, this one sounds pretty cool, it's weird hearing dubstep bass in a 4-on-the-floor track. The piano feels noticeably fake but I really like the little production touches you put on it (I think there's some reversed piano sfx at the end of certain riffs) that makes it work in the song. No worries there. 2:38 transition was pretty damn cool I hear what Will's saying about the balance, this could potentially use a bit more work but what I'm listening to right now sounds like it could probably pass as-is. Might not be perfect, but it definitely feels above the bar anyway. I'd love to hear what some rebalancing/mastering tweaks could do to this though.

I'm pretty sure Archangel's Abbey mix is finished, or at least, he sent me a finished version. Might want to double-check about that

I actually think this would be a really neat idea, I like the idea of doing more themed remix projects like this, even if the OSTs have already been remixed to death. I'm 100% in favor of this and wish you all the best, Wiesty

Feels bad man, real sorry to hear that You should at least post the WIP here if you've still got it, or... maybe try and get it re-done in time for the release? We'd still love to have it on board if you can find any way possible to do so, but of course we won't hold it against you if you have to drop. Shit happens, I'm really sorry bro
