Last time I played against invoker I vowed not to play a hero that uses mana the next time I'm against him. Its fucking bullshit. Can't push or defend after getting hit with that, and it's not even a long cooldown. CM ftw. Furion/invokerless games.

I havent played the map enough to know if the defending team is at a disadvantage. Maybe the offensive team had a big disadvantage as it was and so this balances it out. The change might have been an effort to accelerate the game, instead of sitting back and waiting down the clock if you're up a round. I mean before they could practically stand in the spawn door and spam rockets and stickies I think. I dunno.

It also appears that they put glass between the spawn doors and the final point. So that you cant walk straight out and spam.

I love everything about leshrac. I don't play a lot of torturer in HoN, so it must just be his model/animations that push me over the bar in dota2. So awesome. I'm 10-1 with leshrac+razor. (the one loss was a 4v5 from the first minute) And 12-25 with all the other heroes I've played... lol

I feel for you. Bots are OP. I was playing lina and doing really well against bots. Got myself a blink dagger and started getting ROLLED. They could react faster to my presence than my animations could complete. Instagib. lol I hear that anniebot is the similar in LoL.

The game's addictive, sooo I play a lot. If you play a lot in a single week you see/play a lot of the same champions and it gets staaale. I like having 50+ heroes/champions to choose from. I know the games free, but Id rather pay a flat rate for a fuller game. I was happy to pay 30$ for hon. I'd happily pay upwards of 50$ for Dota2 if it means I'll always get to play what I want to play. Cosmetics on the side are super cool. But I don't like paying microtransactions for gameplay elements. EDIT: I didn't know that.

I guess I've had the unfortunate displeasure of playing with and against people who prefer to safely farm than risk losing ground via harassing/killing attempts. Granted I've only played a handful of games (probably in the vicinity of 50), so maybe the higher rated games tend to shift away from a conservative, and thus boring laning phase. I just would have thought the reverse. I would play a ton more if there wasn't a champion pool rotation. I'd never have started playing HoN if I didn't have access to all the heroes for that matter (IE the way it is now). And if DotA2 takes the same approach I'll probably stop playing that too. lol Being forced into a role because everyone else instalocks whatever the hell they feel like doesn't sound to me like much of a team game. It sounds like 5 individuals with a common goal more than anything. And this isn't a rare occurance for any of the games in this genre.

This is true. I find the laning phase in LoL incredibly dull, and it probably has to do with there not being any denying. I cant think of a gold distribution system that would make laning more exciting by eliminating last hits altogether though.

instead of last hitting, let there be a mineral field in the wells. And let players invest their starting gold in miners. The miners will act as a substitute for last hitting. Once they mine enough gold they the players can choose to make more miners or maybe some other units. Because later in the game the peons... er.. miners become less relevant compared to gryphon ri..... other more combative units! Its an innovative idea for the genre imo.

Yeah it was sarcasm, sorry. lol A week ago I was trying to find out more information about the NDAA and found that many people EXPECTED him to veto it. That's all I was saying. haha. good one. I like what OCR has done with the site to raise awareness. I've been in this thread before and I'm slightly familiar with the concerns, but I doubt I'd have ever watched a video like the one posted on the homepage without the encouragement of the site. And I'm looking into it further still as a result.

Just like he vetoed the NDAA.
