  1. My current name is obsolete and unused, I wish to have it changed to my current online name: Dunusoor. Thanks much!
  2. Ditto. I really don't think that there's a lot more you could do to make this sound better. I think you should sub it already.
  3. Then yeah, that would be from the original Metroid. Like I said, most Item Room themes are remixes, with Super Metroid's being the closest one to Metroid. Also, Stemage's Metroid Metal rocks! I would definitely listen to the whole thing. Glad to hear it!
  4. Here's the item room from Super Metroid, it's either that or Metroid, and the tune's basically the same: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6rh92CJkXo If you wanna here the item room theme from various games, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_titytkJ80 You can tell how most games use a remixed version of the original theme. I really like this remix, it's nice and ambient, and definitely creepy. I do agree with everyone else though, there's not enough meat here to be an OCR mix, but for a first mix, it's really damn good. Keep it up, and I'm sure you'll get a mix on here.
  5. That was pretty awesome! Did I catch a little Zelda in there as well as the Mega Man? Oh snap, there's some Mario at the end there too!
  6. I'm not much of a musician, so I can't offer any sort of technical advice, but I'll do my best. I really loved the bit from 1:06-1:43, it totally added to the industrial atmosphere and sounded really great. However, the main instrument at 2:20 seems really screechy to me. Try toning it down or using a different sound, maybe. Anyway, that was the only main qualm I had about this piece. It's got some great potential, and I can't wait til it's finished.
  7. I really like where this is going. The style totally fits into the Super Metroid vibe. Can't wait to see the rest.
  8. Wow, this is great. I absolutely love the reverb effects, I think they pretty much make the song what it is. I'm no judge or anything, but I think this is ready to be submitted. I wish you were hosting it somewhere I didn't have to sign up to download though, I want this on my laptop.
  9. Shameless self-bump in hopes that this thread will be seen by someone. After two years, there's still a lack of Shadowrun remixes, and it would be really cool to see some. I'd do it myself, but I've got no ear nor talent for music.
  10. While I think the vocals are interesting, I like it much better the way it was, granted the fact that this sounds like a very rough cut. Maybe with more direction for the vocals, having them go with the melody of the song itself rather than just thrown on top, it could work really well. Right now though, it needs a lot of work if you want to go that direction.
  11. It sounds really good, much better than before. The only thing I noticed so far is at 1:23~1:25, the transition skips a little and jumps into the song. I don't think that's intentional, because it sounds like a file corruption, but it really distracted me, I kept going back to it to make sure it was actually there. I listened to it a couple times, and then again in winamp, and it definitely skipped, and it says it's longer than it is, so I really think there's something wrong with the file upload. Though I think it's just for me, because it doesn't seem that anyone else had that problem. Other than that, it sounds great, and I can't wait to see you submit it. I really want this to go through.
  12. Not bad, not bad. I really enjoy how you did the intro (the first 50 seconds). It really sets the mood, and if you could incorporate that style throughout the piece, it would be awesome. The piano work is beautiful, I love it when people remix Metroid like that, it just sounds wonderful. I'm not too sure you even need the percussion, but I'd love to see how you'd do that. Can't wait to see more.
  13. Honestly, they both sound fine too me, though I know I don't have the greatest ear for music. I think they might have enough variety to sub both, but it would probably be pushing it. What do SO and ES stand for, btw? And it's not really the music, but the reverb and the note range that sounds like the basic in-game music. I could be totally wrong though, as I haven't played in about a month, it just reminds me of it is all.
  14. Much better than before. I love the way the piano intro sounds, it's much louder and prominent, and harmonizes well with the source melody. Can't wait to see it on OCRemix.
  15. This is really nice. You know what I just realized? Parts of it sound very similar to Starcraft, but not in a bad way. Can't wait for this to be finished.
  16. I really like the direction this is going; Chill Penguin would make the perfect trance song, but there just isn't enough here to judge properly. Expand on it some, through in some twists, other melodies, or something. I really think you're on to something here.
  17. I like the arrangement, but I'm going to have to agree with Txai for the most part. It's rather dry, there's not enough going on in the song to keep me interested. That guitar bass is really annoying, I agree, but the main melody sounds good. I'm sure if you added some more of your own flair to the original, brought in some more instruments (particularly a better drum beat) you could have this up to OCR standards, but right now it just needs work.
  18. Oh wow, that's a lot of languages. I myself only speak English and am slightly fluent in Spanish, but I'm learning Japanese at the moment, and plan to learn Russian and German after that. Your personal melodies are very pretty. I would love to see them worked into a remix of some sort, or a longer version of your own creation. They might even work as added melodies to the Bolero of Fire, too. As for the ending for MM's Song of Healing, it seemed like it was going into another song, or at least giving the opportunity for a sequel of sorts. Very nice.
  19. Hmm, for Ocarina of Time, it doesn't really seem like anyone has done the Water Temple theme, which has always been one of my favourites. I also really enjoyed your various Mario remixes, especially the Mario Kart ones. I loved the way you incorporated the voices into the songs, you pulled it off pretty well. And as for your English, it's pretty good. What's your native language, if you don't mind me asking?
  20. As MrSneak said, you do tend to add a little too much reverb to your songs, but I think you are totally heading in the right direction. I really liked your interpretations of Gerudo Valley and Temple of Time, staying true to the originals while adding your own flair and style. Keep it up, and you'll make it onto OCR in no time.
  21. I've been able to find the chiptunes for it. The download is: http://snesmusic.org/v2/download.php?spcNow=shr but sadly it does not have the concert/bar music. T.T
  22. Daley station or the battle music is what i'm wishing for. and the music from the bar with the band in it.
  23. I would really like to see some remixes for the SNES game Shadowrun, especially the fight music. I'm surprised that no one has remixed this game yet. It would be really cool to finally get some Shadowrun. Thanks.
