  1. yeah guys screw capcom right? screw them for not making a game they can't make well because kenji inafune made it and not capcom. so when capcom doesn't make that game that they straight up don't know how to make in the first place we should get really mad at them i mean seriously guys capcom is the worst. right? right????/??// i hate mega man fans and am in some small way unhappy this game exists because of the joy it brings them also, when a major developer essentially outsources their 'idea engine' to their fans a la MML3 they might as well be saying 'we have no idea what the fuck we're doing someone come make this game for us'
  2. lucian is *not* trash you just need to not build like the majority of adcs and go 'durr bortk bloodthirster I WIN NAO' lucian like corki needs trinity force. it makes his passive do massive damage which is where all of his power is.
  3. it also shows me just how much damage quinn has and it boggles my mind people don't see it. i would pubstomp with NO ad runes with quinn, go like 10/2, pretty regularly. with runes? you beat everyone in trades, ESPECIALLY vayne.
  4. so i bought AD runes and my adc game went from 'ehh, i don't feel like i'm really that good at this role' to going 7-1 as an adc. primarily sivir.
  5. if they made a crystal chronicles game a la the gamecube version i would cry tears of joy that game is criminally underappreciated
  6. what qualifies as normal pants.. maternity pants do not qualify for reference, the pants i am wearing now are very much average. i just put my 3ds in them. there is a 3 x 1 inch brick sticking out of the side of my leg. most people consider this inconvenient. the 3ds has never been a particularly portable system i don't see why this is now a problem because the product is a square https://securecdn.disqus.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/600/7258/original.jpg cut out the picture because it's too large for the forum the whole thing is not a ton bigger than a closed XL
  7. a) how many people carry around a 3ds in their pocket? you literally must be wearing cargo pants or be very comfortable with a huge bulge in your pants to do so. i've never carried my 3ds in anything other than a backpack and i can't imagine that is particularly uncommon. carrying this in a backpack would not be difficult at all. opened up it's the same size/smaller than an XL. c) it's a ton cheaper do i want one? of course not i have a 3ds. if i had young children would i get them one? in a heartbeat.
  8. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 129.99. 3DS without 3D. Yes this is a real thing.
  9. that is an unbelievably sexy lineup of stuff. however they are yet again making the digital release date 2 weeks before the retail. boo hiss. though i like this better than the xbone strategy from before
  10. to think this is about me being like 'i should be higher but my teams suck' is to fundamentally misunderstand my point my point is as my MMR has increased it has become increasingly easier to win games. this is fundamentally backwards.
  11. by my theorycrafting, which isn't particularly unreasonable, if one person gives his team a 55% percent chance of winning, their winrate would still be 48%. and you would be right if not for the fact that at random points you have to win 2 of 3 or 3 of 5 games. and if that doesn't happen, then you get sent back an undisclosed amount to start over. mmr should increase consistently, bracket doesn't have to because of this
  12. you're using statistics incorrectly it isn't relevant at all how often it happens to the other team, it's only relevant how often it happens to you. let's say one out of every fifteen games this happens. and it does, much more often than that. IF you have a 50/50 chance to win each game, and every 15 games you lose despite that percentage, you're winning 6 and a half out of every 15 games. that's 43 and 1/3 percent. that's abysmal.that means in order to actually have a legitimate chance of *breaking even,* you must win 8.5 games out of 14 to account for the 15th game. That's nearly 57%. On top of that, things like '2 out of 3 series' further skew the statistics of how much you have to win to advance. my MMR was at 1450 a couple weeks ago because I was on promo at silver 2 for 4 SERIES IN A ROW. my mmr went way up because i was consistently winning 5 games out of 7, but the two i was losing were in promo. this isn't a matter of whether or not it's possible, it's a matter of whether or not it's fun. and the fact that it's easier to win games at 'higher ranks' is most certainly not.
  13. if a 54% win rate is pretty good (and it is) and despite this, 1 out of every 10 times you get an unwinnable game due to intentional feeding, afk, or other unfixable circumstance beyond your control, you have statistically a 44% chance of winning your match. so no and the theoretical assumption that at low MMR the game can effectively match you into a 50/50 game, or even a 45/55 game, with any sort of regularity is laughable given that because of the issue we're discussing, two people of identical MMR can have vastly different skill levels, making the idea of an 'even game' a fallacy to begin with.
  14. a) you're not even listening you gave a very good reason that my point has merit c) it's not an 'i agree/i disagree' issue, i'm saying that's what happened. games are easier to win now than they were in bronze. i understand the 'company line' that you're spitting but frankly it only applies to the highest of high level players that you can easily win your way out of bronze
  15. i'm well aware how to get out of bronze. i'm in silver 1, very close to getting into gold. what you're saying has no bearing on what i said to you. in bronze it is common to have players clearly better than their opponents, who are aware of, and do, the things you say, lose due to irredeemably bad play on the part of a teammate. winning a bad player their lane is inconsequential if at the end of the day they can't use the gold that you give them. i'm not arguing from the standpoint of someone in bronze who can't make it. i'm saying, now that i'm out of bronze and nearing a consistently competitive elo (at 1450 atm), games are so much easier to win it's ridiculous. it shouldn't be easier to win at higher skill levels than at lower skill levels.
  16. you're missing the point when you say this, by a lot the point is because there are so many people who either want to lose, want their team to lose, or just plain have no idea what's going on, individual ability gets lost in a wash of chance as to whether or not you'll be on the team with 2 feeders or if it'll be the other team. because it's so volatile you can go 18/3 and still lose in a landslide, or feed your lane 0/12 and still win. i know because i've done both. the point is at that low of a level, games are won and lost by if you have competent teammates. if you're *really really* good you can just run train and it doesn't matter. if you're better than the people around you but not by a ton, then you're screwed. it's luck of the draw. think of it this way. you can have two people at 950 elo that are VASTLY different skill levels, one guy who probably deserves to be there and one guy who's had enough bad luck to where his winrate is a little under .500. you can't have that at 1400-1500, because those people get exposed and lose games/elo until they're not there anymore. the higher the level, the less volatility, the more likely you'll have an even game. which means if you outperform the people around you, it makes a difference. in a low level game with high volatility, if you outperform your lane and one or two people on your team vastly underperform, like just shit the bed, your contribution didn't matter.
  17. because i hate you all and want you to be unhappy... to fuel the 'elo hell' discussion, i've been steadily advancing the past few weeks, from s4 to s2, about to be in s1. it is a MILLION TIMES EASIER to win games in higher ranks. rarely ever do i have people in my games who have decided to troll before it starts. if you're doing well people will let you lead the game. not as often do people wander off and die facechecking baron. (though it does happen) winning games has become so much easier because when you play well, it's not ruined by someone trolling bottom lane, or afking because someone called them stupid. i'm in a promo right now after going undefeated through silver 2; it took me MONTHS to get from bronze 3 to bronze 2 because my play had no bearing on whether or not i would win. am i better than before? probably. so much better that i've won ~70% of my games in the last few weeks? not likely.
  18. guess you're right. never saw any of it. yeah she seems qualified to talk about gender equality
