  1. Interesting take on the original. The mellow organ and guitars were a nice idea. The sound design/ear candy added a lot to the first parts. Love when the mix gets more intense -- excellent guitar work! The final part really was a highlight to me -- excellent job on this part. The ending was a little abrupt, but wasn't problematic. Solid production, nice arrangement, nice job!
  2. Wow, this is excellent. The choice of direction to arrange this track is awesome. Nice instrumentation, I like how it really fits a Mario soundtrack. The fake guitar still fits, it sounds funny (who am I to say that lol) The later parts really sound nostalgic and epic at the same time, which fits a Credits arrangement. Nice job!
  3. Very energic remix. Love how you handled both themes together, especially the Super Mario 64 one. Excellent variations between sections, and man, those transitions are excellent. Love the sound design and the various percussion used. A very well-done remix, nice job!
  4. Really excellent, the performances are great. The choice of flute + acoustic guitars creates a very interesting and relaxing atmosphere. I didn't notice the electro elements at first, but they add a lot to the track. The percussion is also on spot. Lovely remix, nice job!
  5. A really upbeat remix, very enjoyable. It has a very happy atmosphere, and the production is excellent -- I can hear all small details in this one. The choice of instruments is also on spot -- love the mix between the heavy guitars and the sax. This mix put a smile on my face, nice job!
  6. New review: This pushes OC ReMix's bar even higher in terms of orchestral remixes. The way you arranged the classic themes into LoS' style worked perfectly. The samples are of great quality and the arrangement is excellent. It's also super cool to see someone giving a shot to modern soundtracks. Man, I'll never tire from hearing the LoS Main Theme. Awesome job!
  7. My 2011 editing skills should be shown to the world once again. Oh, and OA is in it too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3GkP3EDtnI
  8. I reviewed 190 remixes from the latest torrent, and around 10 which were released in December. I'll finish tomorrow morning ^^
  9. Pretty straightforward metal remix. It gets really crazier later on. The performance is excellent. The use of vocal clips from the original game works well. I'm usually a big fan of metal mix, but I felt something was missing in this remix. It's pretty short, so a few other sections could have been added to improve it. But nice work nonetheless!
  10. The atmosphere of this remix is excellent. I love the mix between the acoustic guitars and strings (even if the strings are not harder to blend -- they're quite wet while the guitars are dry). The piano was a nice addition later on. The vocals were on spot as well. Decent production, but who cares with such a lovely mix? Nice job, Dustin!
  11. Spyro? Yes! That title was misleading, there was no acoustic instrument here! LOL There's a big Daft Punk (early) / French electro vibe in this track, and I love that. The choice of synths/organs was on spot here, love the sound of all those instruments. The production is super clean, and the track is ultra groovy. Aw yeah, nice job!
  12. Oh yeah, something from Nase! As always, it's super jazzy/groovy. The performance is great on the various instruments -- I'm impressed by how well some of them fit in here ^^ Love the arrangement. Nice mixing, nice production, nice moment of music! Great job! WTF @ the Super Mario World quote at the end XDD
  13. Awesome mix! It goes through a lot of genres but stays super groovy/funky all the time. Instrumentation is excellent. The Sonic FX were on spot lol The production is very good. Nothing more to say -- I'm amazed by how well this concept worked! Super nice job!
  14. I love it. The intro really threw me into it -- I'm a big fan of your choice of instruments (the guitar, the snaps, etc.) All those instruments blended together very well, and the overall atmosphere was great and relaxing. Sweet arrangement, nice production, I enjoyed it a lot. Nice work!
  15. Excellent remix! This is different from what Bev usually does, but it's catchy as hell. I love the percussions besides the drum kit. The instrumentation is interesting (the violin sample was a little too piercing/fake, but that was okay). Love the synths, and the atmosphere. Nice job!
  16. Wow, nice take on the over-remixed Green Hills theme. It sounds very funky/groovy -- the bass and drums are on spot, especially with the scratches and the cowbell. Not sure about the quotes, but it worked okay. The later breakdown was needed, as the track sounded a little repetitive. Nice track, nice job!
  17. This one is super nice, I love the original sources (especially Aquatic Ruins) and it's cool to hear Flex sing! The OCU performances are great as well. The lyrics are a little repetitive and stupid, but it wasn't a problem to me. Solid production and lots of fun. Nice job!
  18. A very energic remix. It stays a little minimalist in some parts, in terms of instrumentation and choice of synths. Super groovy -- love the bass and the middle part. The breakdown wasn't expected, it was a little too quiet to my taste. Nice ending. Nice job! .
  19. A very nice remix on lesser-remixed sources, in a very cool/groovy style. Love the synths and chiptune used, the pitch effects were on spot. The percussion work was super cool as well, and production was of great quality. Nice job, guys!
  20. Interesting remix. A dubstep/dirty electro mix of Chemical Plant Zone isn't too original, but reducing the tempo was an excellent idea. As Tim said, it's a little repetitive and straightforward, but man, it's so fun and well-produced! Nice job!
  21. Very smooth remix. I liked the intro's sound, it has something very nice to it. The vocals were a fantastic addition, and fit perfectly the track. The breakdown and guitar part in the end were highlights for me. Very nice job!
  22. Lovely remix. It's very groovy, and yet also very chilly -- the soundscape is amazing IMO. Nice choice of instruments, clean production, and GREAT arrangement ideas. Loved it, Bev, keep up the good work!
  23. Super intense remix. The production on the vocals really adds a lot to the punk feeling, it really fits the genre and original. As always, the guitar work is excellent, and well produced. Keep the good ones in, Dustin! Nice job! \m/
  24. The intro didn't prepare me for what was coming. Love the instrumentation -- it sounds quite epic and yet very Chirstmas-y at the same time. The bass adds something jazzy to it to. Nice samples, nice remix, nice job.
  25. Very cool remix. I like what the Zone Runners did last year, and this one is one of my fav. The instrumentation is very cool IMO -- love the pizz strings. The lead synths were nice too. Very funky as well. Liked it a lot, nice job!
