  1. Hum, interesting mix. Not sold on the vocals, especially the ones with FX on them. The rest of the instrumentation is very intense, and well mixed. The use of Sonic FXs was a nice little addition. Not a big fan, but I enjoyed listening to it. Nice job!
  2. The intro was nice and interesting with the FX, but lasted too long IMO. Nice groovy bass later on. The mix of electro and retro elements with the piano and strings/synths worked really well here. The production is clean, and the track very enjoyable. Nice job!
  3. The intro reminded me of FTL's soundtrack. The chiptune and synths used perfectly fit the space theme. The more modern percussion fit perfectly with the retro lead sounds. Production is super tight as well. Nice job!
  4. Interesting mix -- it starts off as a cinematic track, but quickly evolves into something else. The blend of electro elements and orchestral stuff works quite well here. Some samples sounded a little off (the brass at some points), but other than that, no problem. Neat percussion too. Nice job!
  5. Super groovy -- some sounds really remind me of SirJ's stuff. Not a big fan of the main lead synth, but I got used to it later on. The percussion production is interesting as well. Some sounds really work well together. Nice job.
  6. I already told Alex on Twitter I loved his remix, and I'll say it once again here. This remix is AWESOME, and perfectly captured the essence of the soundtrack and of the game. The instrumentation and samples are great, the production is top, and the emotion is real. Love it.
  7. A very cinematic take on the source. It really sounds like the opening credits to a series. Love the instrumentation, which blends a lot of different sounds without sounding strange. Nice production too. I liked it, nice job!
  8. Pretty sick remix! I really like the instrumentation (dat sexy sax), which reminds me of Mario & Zelda Big Band Live. The sax solo was definitively a highlight. I'll agree with some of the production details, but who cares when you have such a fun remix? Nice job! Keep them coming! Oh, and I see what you did with that title lol
  9. Just learned it as I woke up. RIP to a true Metal legend -- and thanks for the good music.
  10. Interesting choice of synths/instruments here. Very groovy in its composition, but it has more of an adventurous ambiance/atmosphere IMO. I liked the new sounds introduced during the final part. Solid production (but what could you expect from a Mod? ;)) Nice work
  11. Very groovy and funky, just as RoB usually does it. Not sure about the time signature, but I do like the percussion work here. It's very nice and isn't using too much instruments at the same time. The soundscape on some parts is interesting, and can still feel minimalistic. Nice job
  12. Super nice instrumentation and composition -- love the instruments/synths you used here. The mysterious mood/atmosphere works wonders and you did a great job with the mixing/production as well. Nice job
  13. Interesting remix. It's both chilly and intense at the same time. The guitar may need some power up, it sounds a little buried IMO. That breakdown was not expected -- it's quite sudden but very nice. I'm not too fan of this remix, but there are some nice ideas here and there. Nice job!
  14. Neat remix, very intense -- Tim knows how to create realistic guitar sounds with Shreddage (something I hope to master someday lol!) Some cool synth choices, especially during the creepy breakdown in the middle. As always, solid production and a crazy soundscape. I won't tire from Tim's mixes!
  15. Awesome idea, concept, and instrumentation -- the performance is also strong. Despite its short length, there are some neat creative ideas here and there. Maybe too minismalist in the end, but damn, that was great! More please, man!
  16. I'll be original and start with that the music box intro was a cool idea. The dubstep works quite well with this source IMO, especially when it gets crazier later on. A few notes sounded a little wrong to my ears (certainly the major/minor thing) but nothing really terrible. Solid mix and production, nice work!
  17. You're welcome, man, Merry Christmas I'm glad you like it.
  18. A very intimate remix, which perfectly fits this season. The choice of instruments is great here -- love how you chose them and put them together. The mood is quite relaxing and chilly -- nice atmosphere (much needed when you wake up at 4:30 AM to work on some university stuff, ouch). Clean production as well. Congrats to Garpo for his mixpost! -- hope to see more from you soon.
  19. Nice picks, Chalis and Esperado. :) AoS deserves more love. I will edit my list to stay closer to the rules and add "Clock Tower" somewhere. :)
  20. Nothing in the box this morning, so it'll have to wait until I return or later

  22. I'm leaving tomorrow evening for the other side of France, and will return a few days later, so my SS shouldn't worry if they don't get any news about my present in the coming days.
  23. I'm trying to generate more interest in this, it'd be a shame if no one enters!
  24. Hey guys, MindWanderer is starting a nice Castlevania compo à la DarkeSword/FenixDown (Mega Man and Final Fantasy Compos). It's buried under other compos and only 2-3 people already signed up for it. It'd be a shame not to have more contestants, especially seeing the number of people who entered Shariq's MM compos. Signups are closing in early January, so check it out quickly. (@Mods: It's maybe a little spammy, but other compos started recruiting in Community, so I guess it's okay to do the same -- sorry if it's not okay. Plus I'd be a sad panda if no one enters it ;))
  25. If I had a WiiU, I'd play the shit out of this game. It looks so funny and creative.
