  1. The MAGFest rate at the Gaylord is $135 a night. Last year I also paid an additional $24 per night in taxes, $15 per night for the resort fee, and $22 for each day I had my car parked there. I know the resort fee's still $15 this year, and the taxes are 16% and so should roughly be the same, but I don't know if the parking fee's changed or not.
  2. Because the schedule doesn't say when individual people are doing something, so I gotta look that up separately! (added)
  3. Or just look in the OP post, cause I got dat shit covered mang.
  4. I'd be happy to help again, as long as I don't have to be creepy cameraman this time. XD
  5. Nothing recently, but he came back onto the scene with a Kickstarter in the works.
  6. From a fellow bro to a fellow bro, WELCOME TO THE THREE ZERO CLUB
  7. Yeah, that Skype deal is one of those looks-too-good-to-be-true ones for sure, but it's legit, and my account's Premium now. Ya'll with Skype should totally get on this. Although I did notice in the terms that they reserve the right to cancel this promotion on us all anytime during that year, so...
  8. Even when it comes to birthdays, if it doesn't involve an insane low-level run, GT's doing it wrong. Happy birthday, man!
  9. Thanks for the offer man; I'll put your name in the OP post. (loved what you did for Zoltan's take on Selphie's Train Song, by the way)
  10. I don't have a Wii U, so someone will have to play that game and let me know if it's got any unique songs. XD
  11. Fantastic news on all accounts. Congratulations you three!
  12. MindWanderer: The project's framework is indeed the premise that it's an RPG soundtrack, but it's a remix project first and foremost. So there's no overarching musical styles people need to use in this case. The unifying link between all the songs for this particular project is the source usage mentioned in the OP post: that if you're remixing a song from Super Mario RPG, it should have a leitmotif from a Dr. Mario song included, and if you're remixing a song from a Mario series game that's not SMRPG or a Dr. Mario game, you should include a leitmotif from either in your track. The idea you had in your post's edit clearly fits within those guidelines, so basically, knock yourself out and have fun. I'll put you down for Beware the Forest's Mushrooms for now, but let me know if you decide to do something different. EDIT: Oh, and thanks for letting me know that link was broken. A few others were gone too; I'm fixing them now. therex: Will do! I haven't set any due dates yet because not enough people have claimed tracks for me to do that, I feel, so right now we're basically in a holding pattern where people can claim stuff and work at their own pace but I'm not checking in often or pestering them to speed up. That will obviously change as the project picks up speed, but yeah.
  13. Cabs in DC that late are a shot in the dark if it's not Friday and Saturday when they expect to make a ton of money off drunk people on the bar circuit, but there might be one or two around. I'd still suggest you try for a different time of day if possible though, especially since busses, the Metro, and shuttles won't be running that late.
  14. Through OCR, I've met some of the closest friends I've ever had in my life. Here's to going strong for another 14.
  15. People who are on the project can give me their e-mail addresses, preferably Gmail, and I'll give them access to the Google Drive project folder where they can see behind the scenes stuff. That includes the pun for the FFIX Battle title. If you're NOT on the project, well, tough beans, I'm not revealing the pun till the project comes out. XD
  16. Glad you're pleased! Your mystery gift, I've been told, will go out in the mail tomorrow unless there's further snow-related delays. My own gifts came in, and I'm super happy with them. One of the few Pern books by Anne McCaffrey I still didn't own, and one of the Battle Network-related games I never got a chance to try. Thanks GravitySuitCollector!
  17. Sure, have at it! As for your comment about FFIX being baffling, you remember how the original Super Mario RPG used Final Fantasy IV's battle theme wholesale for the Culex fight? We're using FFIX's battle theme for this sequel's version of that, and we chose FFIX specifically because #1: well, we needed to include a battle theme from an FF title as a shoutout to Culex obviously, but more importantly #2: we get to make a fantastically horrible pun with the track title if we use FFIX's.
  18. Alright Shaggy, got you on board for Fever. BrothaDom, thanks for the offer! I'll put your name in the OP post for folks offering services for collabs. Brandon: ...wut
  19. Chiming in to say 8-Bit Jesus has been on my playlist for years and I will never take it off. So good.
  20. That's exactly why it's in my bedroom. My TV's attached to a tilt stand on my entertainment center so I can twist it left and have it pointed right at my face when I'm on the bike. Makes the time pass by much quicker.
  21. Basically copying two of my resolutions from last year, which I made progress on, but still want to continue at. 1. Lose weight. I'm about 30 to 40 lbs overweight for my height and body type, and my family has a history of diabetes, so I really need to slim down a bit for my health's sake. 2. Continue working on music, increasing my production skills, etc. Finally within this last month I started making music again, so as long as I just don't stop, this one should be at least somewhat of a shoe-in.
  22. I've given up on the cosplay idea (and potentially on cosplay in general; still keep up with the culture, but I don't have much desire to dress up myself outside of Halloween anymore). As for losing weight, I haven't really made much progress on that specifically, but I have recently changed my situation to allow for that to happen this year, theoretically. For example, the exercise bike in my bedroom. XD Yes! Admittedly, I hopped in Brandon's Final Fantasy compo and then got eliminated in round 1, but I'm making music again. So excite. I eventually decided not to even bother bringing it up with her and just remaining her friend without her ever knowing I had a crush. Seeing as how I haven't physically seen her since I made this post due to our mutually busy schedules (though I do talk to her on Facebook occasionally), I doubt a relationship would've worked anyways. So that's 2 out of 3 goals in a sense, with the original one kind of half way. That was actually pretty good!
