  1. This is an epic track, and I think it would be cool if someone remixed it. So I posted it.
  2. It's pretty bad when the person who posted the topic realizes that this won't happen, yet the newbs who keep posting don't. The decision is made, the request withdrawn, TOPIC END! *now how to close this thing...*
  3. ARGH! There isn't enough interest in the album for it to be made right now. I wouldn't be coordinating or anything if it was being made, which it isn't, so please stop acting like it is.
  4. I remember a time when I was trying to get mp3's of tracks. Wound up here (before the current incarnation of OCR) and didn't like it. Then I got into The Black Mages. Made my way back here (it looked much as it does now at this point) and enjoyed it. That was back in 2007. I've been a frequent visitor ever since, suggesting tracks to be remixed and giving feedback on WIP tracks ever since. Only recently did I finally join the IRC chatroom. It's a blast! This is a great community, and the fact that it has thrived for ten long years deserves a toast. To the love of video-game music, to ten years of dedication to music (something that is sorely lacking in today's schools, so this is a great way to get more people into it), and to many more years of remixing to come. I have a feeling that as long as there are video games with original compositions, OCR will be there, remixing tracks and interviewing composers, for many more long years to come. To OCR! *tink* *drinks*
  5. Mephisto, I don't want to work on this [project. I was merely suggesting it, and hoping someone else would manage it for me. And good point, PA. But I feel that the album should cover a wide variety of genres, like was done with Voices of the Lifestream, with Echoes of Betrayal, Light of Redemption, with Summoning of Spirits, etc. That way a wide variety of ReMixers can work on the project.
  6. Working on it now, Krow. And I miscalculated. There are about 92 tracks, not 95.
  7. We already have 95 or so tracks to choose from. I don't think we need any more. Plus, my reasoning is in honor of the series' resumption. So we don't really need any tracks from GSDS. Plus, I have a feeling some tracks in the DS game will be borrowed from the GBA games, or remixed.
  8. Well, as I said, with the advent of Golden Sun DS, this seems to be an opportune time for this album. And since I'm not the first to suggest this, maybe it'll carry more say than the other post about the same thing. It would be a great album. Provided Sixto ReMixes Venus Lighthouse or Battle [Doom Dragon]. Or not. Regardless, it should be made, because we need more Golden Sun ReMixes! We only have one! Come on, people! Let's do this! LET'S MAKE ALBUM!
  9. Move this if it's in the wrong place, but I have an idea. I was wondering if anybody would mind working on a Golden Sun ReMix album. With Golden Sun DS on the horizon, I feel it's a great time to work on this. That, and OCR is sorely lacking in GS ReMixes. I don't want to head the project, for I don't have the time, or the constant internet access required to do so. I'm just posting this to get the idea out there, in hopes that someone will agree and take the reins for this project. Thank you for reading this, and I hope this post will inspire the community to ReMix this excellent soundtrack. After all, a ReMix album of some of Motoi Sakuraba's work was finished earlier this year (Summoning of Spirits)! Please consider this request.
  10. I respect your opinion, Wander, because everyone (except Hitler) is entitled to their opinions. But, why would you visit this site if you like the originals and don't like when people remix them? I like this site because I like the original tracks, and seeing how other people have interpreted said tracks and made them their own is pretty darn cool. The original OST is one of my favorite soundtracks too. And, ever since discovering this site (for the fifth time), I love the work here. Sure, there are some tracks I don't like, but all in all, what they do here is pretty cool. And the video game music industry obviously likes it. Regardless, I hear your opinion, and I respect. My own opinion? This album kicks ass! That is all.
  11. This is an epic track. Par for the course, maybe even a birdie or eagle, for Sixto as far as I'm concerned. Screw it, he gets an albatross for the tracks from SoS. (That's 3 under par, look it up) This one for sure. And, to be honest, I just stuck this track, and the other two, onto disc 4 of the album in iTunes when I downloaded it. Regardless, great track as usual. And the amount of time this track was finished in? I expect nothing less after hearing the rest of Sixto's work. He's got it down to a science! He gets a doctorate in epicity!
  12. Sounds good, but as the others said, keep it interesting. Mix it up more so. It's too close to the source as is. Make it your own, make it your own personal take on the source, as with every other ReMix here.
  13. This is nice. And, judging by the sizes of the other ReMixes I've downloaded, talk to Disco Dan if you want to get the filesize down. He has an 8:41 ReMix that fit the requirements (barely). BlueLightning, check it out. Ironically, it's a Mega Man 3 Title ReMix. Lovin' the SFX, and OCR needs some EXE in it. And this is a great way to get it in there! Also, nice use of the source. Well implemented.
  14. WOO! One more track! WOO! Also, I know I removed the banner from my sig, but I love Pencil Puzzles, so there.
  15. Nice so far. I love Ape Escape, great game, great music. Actually, I'm using the Trick Castle BGM for Shockspark Hallows, in the Zelda game I'm making. I can't sell it anyways, so why not! It retains the feel of the game. I can picture those damn Piposaru running from me right now whilst I chase them down with a net. But that's also a bad thing, as DNM there said, as it may work against you if you submit it. Make the track your own, more so than it already is. Overall though, good job. Enjoyable, and it brings back fond memories. Of ramming monkeys with RC Cars and stuff. Good times.
  16. This is an excellent album. I've listened to it all the way through, and to show how much I love it (and despise the fact that there weren't any 1280x800 wallpapers in the package) I compiled the avatars included into a wallpaper. http://metakirby.110mb.com/SoSAvvyWallpaper1280x800.PNG I hope you like it!
  17. The game itself is a Kirby take on Breakout. I own it, and I'm mad at it (Stupid Border Line scores!) Just so you know! But it's pretty good! I actually like it so far (typing as I listen). It builds up to the track nicely! And long isn't necessarily bad... And it fades into the piano nicely in my opinion. Great track, I really like it!
  18. I'm getting more and more excited about this. Granted, there are enough DKC2 remixes already on OCR to make an album, but still. Fresh views are always welcome.
  19. It started out meh, but quickly escalated to pure epicity! Great job, both of you! I didn't even know it was Sixto until after I listened to it and read the review by DJP there. Awesome job! 5 stars out of 10 points; so awesome the scoring systems got mixed up!
  20. HOLY FECAL MATTER BATMAN! This is quite awesome! Great job. Epic. Rock. Action! I loved every nanosecond of it, and it seems nearly impossible for me to grasp how it could get any better! Great work!
  21. I've got Pencil Puzzles from Tips & Tricks. They may be 40x40, but if it's okay, I could post them, or links to them if you want them.
  22. There, that was hard picking just one favorite though.
  23. I went as a girl. My brother did a few years back, but I think my costume was pretty good.
  24. I'd like my name changed from dakirbymaster to Mirby, if possible. Keep all my forum accounts under the same name! Thanks in advance.
