I wanted to request an avatar here. It is an 8-Bit version of my OC, Cynthia, and this version was used for a modification of the Rockman 7 - FC game that was released. I hope it counts, because I want to change my avatar to this, if possible. LT: Nah, no OCs. We're just doing in-game characters/objects.

Final Fantasy IV: Echoes of Betrayal, Light of Redemption - History
Mirby replied to OceansAndrew's topic in Projects
DS version is cool. Leveled everyone up to 99, the annihilated Zeromus with Slow and physical attacks (after stealing the Dark Matter of course). Finally got 9999 on Rydia's Mathemagical Minute too. Great version. Also, this looks epic. Great album art (Rydia is hot as usual) and can't wait. Deadline's approachin', people! -
Holy shi-! One week certainly makes a difference. When I last posted, you had only really started it. Now you've made major progress on this track! The intro is longer and nicer, and the way it cuts into Concrete Jungle (that's the official name of the track you're remixing) is perfect. And the way you make the track your own is great and well-done. And it still stays true to the source track, and is right at home with the track. And using the Boss Selected (or as it is known on the OST, Game Start) as the ending? Perfect. Nearly flawless and I can't wait to hear the finished product (if this isn't the finished product already; sounds like it could be). Great job!

This is frickin' awesome! Good job, and I can't wait to hear more of it!

Final Fantasy IV: Echoes of Betrayal, Light of Redemption - History

Regardless of the above shenanigans, I can't wait. Hopefully by the time this is released, I'll have beaten the CPU finally. (It's hard on the DS!) -

Can I use one? -
Also features Crazy Tracy (Link's Awakening), Tao (Chibi-Robo), and the Famicom Wars soldiers. It probably won't be released outside of Japan, but meh. Also, I heard that with Birdo's scenario, you'll have to find something to prove its gender or something.

Good luck. I hope it's approved. Now for an update on PR's track... -

This is a good idea. Reminds me to finish my 5th playthrough of the two. -
Zelda: Link's Awakening 'Tal Tal Mountain Range'
Mirby replied to WillRock's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I liked it a lot. The opening was nice and I could detect quite a bit of the Tal Tal greatness in there. Good job! -
I was referencing the 11 main ones. Referencing the remixers who have Project Director in their profile. Also, I see your point there.

Notice I said "usually", Fishy. Not all of them do.

OCR01745 - Double Dragon "The Secrets of Sosetsuken"
Mirby replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
If this keeps up, this site'll become SixtoSounds ReMix. Seriously. Yet another rockin' song by Sixto! Great sound, great execution, and it just further proves that 2008 is the YEAR OF SIXTO! -
OCR01744 - Dragon Warrior "Overture Variations"
Mirby replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the source track appears in multiple DQ games, right? Regardless, a solid track that is great to listen to. I like it. Also, C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER! First non-remixer review. -
If memory serves, Liberi Fatali was played during the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Anyways, I've tested this theory myself. I've played some game music before (without telling the people it was game music) and let them listen. They liked it for background music, or ambience if you will. But when I told them what it was they freaked out. Meh, if you truly love music, you'll listen to anything. And video game music is the best because it has so many varied styles, depending on the situation and the composer and the game. It is massively more varied than other music. Granted, I still listen to other music, but VGM is by far my favorite kind of music.

Athletic - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
Mirby replied to somestrangeflea's topic in ReMix Requests
Agreed. This whole game needs more of the classic OCR love. -
I think reworking it would be a good idea. I like this track (did my request inspire you to do this?) and I feel that it isn't played enough in the game. If you lengthened it (with cause, don't lenghten it just because) and worked it into something truly awesome, you might get it approved this time. WE NEED MORE FFIII DANGIT!

Can't wait for that. I'd say I hope it turns out well, but I know it will so no point in saying I hope.

Hi there. It's DKM, your friendly neighborhood requester again. I was thinking that eve though the FF3 album was a joke, there's stll quite a bit of music from it that is great and has potential for a great remix. And the FF2 music rocks too. I'm gonna list off four of my favorites with YouTube vids for the DS version (GBA/PS1 version for FF2) and NES versions (FF3 only). Here goes. FINAL FANTASY II MAGICIAN'S TOWER http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4pytSJ9Ba4 --- ANCIENT CASTLE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UTFx62k_Qc --- BOSS BATTLE A --- BOSS BATTLE B -- FINAL FANTASY III BOSS THEME http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bdGV0bhO2M --- CRYSTAL TOWER http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uXn9hw7Cvg --- THE DARK CRYSTALS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ps6O2iZYR60 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR3L63trz2 --- FORBIDDEN LAND EUREKA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5FBH3VX72M --- Once again, if only one of these are remixed, I will be grateful. And if there are already remixes of these at DoD, I saw them already. Thank you in advance.

This is a pretty cool character. I liked the varied designs I saw at Doulifee's archives. A lot of variation while still staying in the same basic idea. Great job all. >_> I LIKE OCR-TAN...

The FINAL FANTASY III ReMix Album - "Echoes of Eternity" - loool
Mirby replied to zircon's topic in General Discussion
This was a good April Fool's joke. Though I still think that FF3 needs to be represented far more than it is in the remixes currently. >_> BOSS BATTLE THEME! REMIX IT NAO! >_> -
That would be cool, and the spelling nazi in me wants to point out that you forget the other T in thought there. at the end. I know someone who'd love this idea.

OCR01742 - Chrono Trigger "Behind the Sealed Door"
Mirby replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Great job! It works great for ambience in the background of a conversation, if you ask me. It has that mellow feel to it and I like it a lot. Great job! Can I use it in my game? -
Donkey Kong Country 2: Serious Monkey Business - History
Mirby replied to Geoffrey Taucer's topic in Projects
Medleys can be good. Voices of the Lifestream had The Golden Ivories of Gaia, which was a pretty nice medley. So I think a medley for this would work awesomely. The music flows quite well, imo, and the songs should flow into eachother quite smoothly. Also, Crocodile Cacophony and Snakey Chantey (the Rattle Battle stage BGM) better be extremely epic. I want to have an epicity overload here, people!
