  1. No that's just saying it's perfectly fine to criticize music. You can't just take two irrelevant things and make them look like they contradict each other.
  2. My theory is that the real version is the one the mixer made it. In other words, buy Zircon speakers/headphones to listen to Zircon music, bLiNd speakers/headphones to listen to bLiNd's music, etc.
  3. I was talking about justin bieber, not people who listen to his music. Anyone can hate all they want on him. If they don't like his music, they're allowed to express that. I thought we were talking about Justin Bieber? There's no age requirement to be a musician. You've never seen heard or read me criticize music so you also don't even know what the hell you are talking about.
  4. I got MARATHON DJH 1100 headphones and my remix sounds WEYARD. I think in a good way, though. I believe the bass was amplified on my previous headphones and the hi's were muffled. On these new ones, the hi's are really clear but the bass isn't as strong. Maybe I'm used to amplified bass? I think these headphones are seriously gonna help me w/ mixing and mastering, regardless. I'm gonna re-mix my remix (as in restart the production aspect).
  5. EDIT: "Stop hating on Justin Bieber!" Says the guy who has a blog about how OCR is "downhill" because of how offtopic treated him. Few weeks ago... Neblix: Who the hell is Justin Bieber?! Emunator: Look him up. I don't wanna tell you. Neblix: *listens to a song* ... That was awful. He sounds like a 6 year old singer in those elementary school music instructional sessions. 0_0 Like the kind where it's prerecorded and all the kids have to learn to sing along on their 5th grade graduation. I think it's perfectly fine to hate on him from a musically objective standpoint (like above).
  6. Well yeah, I'm not saying FL Studio will ALWAYS yield amazing results, it depends on the person. But what I'm trying to get at is that FL Studio CAN sound great, because some people fail to mention FL Studio as a choice.
  7. Actually, you just repeated what I said. "waht matters is the workflow and the features" yeah, listen to Zircon's music. It has features to make Zircon's music sound like it is, so if you want to sound like Zircon you should use the features that get Zircon to sound like Zircon. And ditto for any other artist in any other software.
  8. QFE If you wanna make music on your own, I recommend a piano roll. If you're only using sheet music, I cannot possibly imagine how you could offset notes and humanize velocities without resorting to the use of incredibly small rests (which don't exist) WELL, Zircon uses FL Studio, and, I wouldn't exactly ignore that fact. I mean it just shows how great FL Studio can sound in the right hands. If you want to create scores for live instruments to play, I would recommend Finale. I think that's pretty good. Otherwise, if you want to make your own music on your computer using VST's and such, the piano roll will have to be your new interface.
  9. Stop using iTunes is the easiest solution.
  10. SONAR SUCKS FL STUDIO RULES Disclaimer: I've never read reviews or have tried Sonar before. EDIT: I looked at some screenshots, the interface doesn't look as fun as FL Studio and the piano roll looks dull. :/ FL Studio has an interface that's easy on the eyes. I recommend FL Studio, but only because it's the DAW I use and I've only ever tried the Reason Demo (the interface I don't like)
  11. Prophet, you don't know anything about me, don't sound like you do. It's pathetic and immature and it's also annoying when you pretend that I'm some dumb teenager. Get a life. I don't recommend going for a Core 216; my brother had a problem with his, RMA'd and then his second one died too. He got an ATI card and his computer is fine. I normally don't recommend ATI, but I'm just going to play against prophet because he thinks he's god and he can deny any mention of me having any sort of knowledge whatsoever because I'm not old like him. xD
  12. Okay, that's fine. If you're willing to engineer your own case it's not even an issue. But yeah your computer looks good, I'd say it's a decent price.
  13. Yeah, EVGA is pretty legit, Intel is probably your best bet at processors, not sure about your RAM (there's a guy around here called "the prophet" who can give you better advice about that brand) and I don't think GIGABYTE is so bad for motherboards. Also, what PSU are you buying, and can your case accommodate your motherboard?
  14. First of all, why are you only upgrading four parts of your computer? If your machine is as old as you say it is, shouldn't you also be looking at hard drives, optical drives, and cases? I'm not saying you have to, but surely such an old machine has a small hard drive. And how much RAM is this going to have? I would recommend at least 3 GB or so.
  15. WHEN HE GROWS UP, HE'S GONNA... ... o wait too late.
  16. The old songs sound more funky than techno.
  17. Games that in my opinion are pretty good games. He also never specified what good games are; so you can't tell me I'm cheating his challenge.
  18. I'm up for revision on production only, and since my Round 2 ReMix wasn't so hot in arrangement I'll only work on the other three.
  19. For a second it just seemed like he was implying that you three were the only good critics close enough to the level of the judges. Obviously you don't think that but I was just stating that it could've been taken the wrong way. :/
