Still no reason to scrap it. Did I scrap "Megaman Zero 3- Halfway To Go!" when Snappleman (JUST ONE PERSON OUT OF A MILLION, hint hint to Tarnish) trashed my thread? No. I still have it. I didn't let Snappleman make me scrap it. Tarnish, those lyrics are fine... but you should fix the problems SkyWay told you about. There's objective and then there's subjective: Objective= Problems that no one needs an opinion on. Hard fast sticking to the rules, without a bias or opinion. Subjective= Problems that only some people believe. It's more of what people prefer. You should worry more about the objective problems (clashing bass, simply just a change of instruments from source) than the subjective (someone doesn't like it because your lyrics sound too much like a kid show intro). By the way, you shouldn't care if it sounds like an intro to a kid show. That's not entirely a bad thing, and I don't think it would get rejected just for cheesy lyrics.

Otherwise you end up like me, Tarnish. If Rozo doesn't like your mix, change it. If you don't feel like it, don't change it. Rozo is just one person, if someone like him doesn't like your mix there are bound to be people who do like it. Don't dub something a waste of time because one single person doesn't like it. I once was doing a remix and a member of this forum (banned) came in and said stuff like I ruined the source etc... did that stop me? ... well yeah, it actually did. But I learned that I made a huge mistake. Never quit working on something unless you honestly think it's a waste of time, not because someone doesn't like it/ receive it well.

Aside from his Sky Sanctuary remix he actually doesn't want to change the originals around. He just wants to "revive" them by adding instruments, etc. But I completely agree with your points about Sky Sanctuary, it IS a bit repetitive.

Regardless, you shouldn't have to let those people discuss your song if you don't want to. If you want to host the file, you should go to a place where people are going to critique it (there's really no point anyways. You're not even there for the critique).

:/ That's kinda weird. It would be nicer if you could just host the file without having it rated by the host...

XD I just saw "not gonna get accepted" and overreacted... *sigh* I'm not very good at talking to people. And nowhere did I say I thought it was good enough to be accepted. Thanks. I was gonna take out that filtering. It didn't give the effect I wanted (it sorta just drowned out the drums) I'm just gonna pull it out. xD Don't think so highly of me. And as for soundscape replacement: It's not gonna happen. Shariq told me some stuff sounds thin but that's no reason to slap an electronica label on it and go buy Sytrus samples to redo my song. That's okay I already got an explanation from someone.

XD 1. I don't use love philter 2. I can't afford Sytrus. 3. Tell me what MIDI-ish means and maybe I'll understand what you're telling me... til then, my sounds are fine. 4. Most importantly I'm not gonna use synthesizers. I hate most synthesizers. 5. From your crit, I can automatically tell my soundscape is fine, it's just that you want me to replace everything with synths because you're an electronica fan. "I think if you submitted now..." You're not a judge, so don't give me that "It's not gonna get accepted" stuff. I live next door to someone who can tell me that... you just worry about critiquing my remix. And don't worry about being too harsh... you only have to worry about that when you're Snappleman level.

Eh well really I don't care... it's my beef with him not yours. :/ You're pretty good, and as a person you're way better than Snappleman. As a musician, you can probably get better than him. Snappleman is a good musician but his attitude is despicable. Anyways, are we waiting for something to happen in your project? Because it seems like we're just sittin around chatting when your project is like "Are you still there... is anyone there.... shutting down..." (Portal Reference) Are you working on anything?
