  1. That... Wait, I'm sorry, I gotta get my head back. That...was the single most awesome thing I've ever read in my life. Thank you for granting me that. I understand what you mean about my Birth Of God bell section being too long. But I'm not clear on what you think I should do...Do you want me to make it half-length? I was also hoping that my Main Evil riff during the Birth of a God section would stick out, so that it would make a bit of a transition between it, Birth and the battle theme. Buuuut, I guess that didn't work. I'll try something else. Yeah, I'm gonna make some effort to blend it together correctly. Thanks for your feedback, He. ...Furthermore,
  2. Yeah, I can definitely increase the tempo but that makes the faster kick sound unrealistically fast...which is actually kinda slow if you listen to bands like Into Eternity. I've pointed out that the fake guitar (being mapped out with help from a live guitar soundfont) is for placement until I've finished the songs and practiced them on guitar enough to record them. (This includes all of my songs that feature guitar...which is all of them) I can for sure turn up the kick, that's not a problem. I also found that the snare was a bit background-ish, so I can turn that up and remove a bit of its EQ because it sounds kinda gay. Yeah, I guess I could at least change the tempo for Still More Fighting (which I have mistakenly titled "Those Who Fight Again")...but I might have trouble blending the two tempos together. I'll work it up a bit, but I can't promise that I'm as good as guitar as my computer is (lol). Thanks for the heads-up though, Neko
  3. Wow, you're right... What in the name of Odin? Well I guess, copy and paste freewebs.com/cryosis/Cryosis%20-%20Omniwrath.mp3 into your searchbar. That should work.
  4. Alright, so I've actually had this song as it is for a while...but I'm trying to continue it. Here's the song: http://www.freewebs.com/cryosis/music/Cryosis%20-%20Omniwrath.mp3 And here are the sources: Birth of God This is all done with FL Studio, but when I finish enough of these songs I'm gonna record the guitar for all of them myself. I know that I haven't done a good job of mixing it at all, but I honestly have yet to find out how to compress, how to separate channels...all that stuff. All I really know how to do is EQ some of my drums. But give it a listen, I just wanna know if it sounds interesting to anyone. Plox.
  5. Super Mario Bros acapella project. I like your thinking.
  6. Two words: Indescribably awesome. I'd vote yes. For all. Keep 'em coming. I expect a Forever Forest remix like these, on my desk by Wednesday.
  7. Uhhh, I dunno about you Joker, but here in Canada, weeks are seven days. LOL sorry, you can go about your business again.
  8. Alternate translation: Not bad, Nekofrog, not bad.
  9. Bump. I've also uploaded the song to http://www.freewebs.com/cryosis/music/Cryosis%20-%20Militiae%20Corneriae.mp3. Hopefully that encourages you to give it a listen.
  10. Alright, how 'bout FileFactory? http://www.filefactory.com/file/ada81a/n/Cryosis_-_Militiae_Corneriae_mp3 I'll upload it on my site too, when I actually get around to making it.
  11. Bump. Even though I hate double-posting (let alone TRIPLE posting), I wanted to bump this.
  12. Ohohoho, guess who's back?! That's right, I got back on this pile o' crap after realizing it still existed. But this time, I finished the song and would like to hear what everyone thinks of it...advice on production would be a HUGE help if necessary. I will be helpful here and link to source for clarification: Star Fox - Corneria And, finally, my mix: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8TNMPSNP
  13. I growl and scream all the time, and the only way not to destroy your vocal cords is to incorporate water; just drink water before and after screaming, your throat will be fine for quite a long time. But I dunno about digitally enhanced screaming, 'cause generally when people do anything and try and make it sound like a scream, it ends up sounding more like feedback from an amp, or inhaling really hard in a low-quality, overdriven microphone. So you could definitely just get people to scream for you, if you ask me. I dunno about everyone else on OCRemix, but I don't see why collab screaming would be a problem.
  14. Yeah, I hate it. I actually did wait...about four months...before getting back on my old project "Militiae Corneriae" (remix of Corneria from Star Fox). But yeah, I did pray a little to Odin.
  15. There's no sound but some quiet background noise. I dunno what's going on.
  16. If this has already been posted, pardon my ineptitude but I searched for it and didn't find anything that actually related to my specific issue. I'm using FL Studio 8, and I need a good kick drum sound. So far I've been using the "RealDrumKits" Kick_1 or whatever, and it sounds like crap. If I bring it exactly how loud it needs to be, it drowns out everything else and makes all other sounds duck under it. I've been listening to the kick on songs by remixers such as Dr. Manhattan, BrainCells, SnappleMan, Sixto...and their kicks sound great, but I'm totally oblivious to getting a good sound. Anyone feel like helping me out here?
  17. I think the medley was started prematurely, as I felt like there was going to be more GEKKO music with some original works overtop of it. But overall, I have to say this is the best Metal Gear Solid remix I've heard so far. Keep it up, bud!
  18. Thanks fellas. I'll try to add more source melody in there, and I've already taken action on that out-of-place cymbal. Also, yes, it was squidfont, and I've actually now switched to Cadenza strings, but I had to pan left in order for the strings to actually reach both speakers. Oh well, not a big deal. Also, I'm actually using Guitar Rig 3's Metal > Aggressive setting for the guitar, and luckily it's just a map-out of when I'm actually going to record my own guitar playing in Sonar LE. I'm just trying to find out what would sound best when I'm playing it. I really appreciate your advice, guys. I'll work hard on it.
  19. Oh yeah, I forgot the source. Here: Star Fox - Corneria
  20. If someone would like to give me feedback on my cover of Corneria, go to http://www.soundclick.com/cryosis and click on "Militiae Corneriae". Listen to the song, and tell me what you think of what I've got so far please.
  21. You know there's such thing as guitar to USB, right? You can get a single cord for electrical guitar to USB for like 40 bucks on eBay (and then shipping, but seriously). That's what I'm doing. I haven't heard of many people who use them, but the eBay shop that sells them are pretty legit, and have good feedback. Might wanna give it a try, if you're looking to get a little extra back on your budget. Using that with virtual amps like Wagner Sharp or Studio Devil might give you a pretty decent effect. But I can't say I'm 100% sure about it, as I don't own a cord...and I'm pretty bad at guitar.
  22. Yeah, MegaUpload does take a long-ass time. I'm sorry it was all I could come up with. With the kick, do you mean it's too loud or quiet, or that the velocity needs adjustment? Or maybe that I need more, or less of it?
  23. I've been working on quite a few remixes, and some of them are turning out pretty bad...so I've decided to post my song Mansion of the Wolf, which I plan to put on a remix album under the artist name Cryosis, to show my overall remixing ability. Hopefully I can get some constructive feedback, and improve a lot. If anyone would please visit http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I3K3RSI4 for the file, listen to it and give me your opinion, some feedback and suggestions. It's not supposed to be Techno or anything along those lines, it's supposed to be orchestral with hints of rock/metal (drums, synth). So if you have any ideas as to what I could do to improve on the overall remix in that aspect, I would appreciate it.
