  1. I hope my challenge makes for a good remix. Of course, regardless of genre it should rock my socks off anyway.
  2. Yeah, it is a very impressive track by Dr. Manhattan...but I personally think yours sounds a lot more interesting. There's a lot more going on than just rock instruments, which is what I think most arrangements need. If this is to be a purchasable album, I'll buy it for sure.
  3. http://dod.vgmix.com/past/2009-april/01tie-DrManhattan-SF2010-Valentine-8bit-DoD.mp3 Am I even ALLOWED to link you to this? I dunno. But it's worth a mention. EDIT: Forgot to check yours out, and when I did, I found that it's a lot more interesting than just the same old "guitar, bass, synth, drums" arrangements. You have my praise for this.
  4. WHOA! Skummel joined?! Haha thanks dude. This project has got some srs RAWK headed its way. \m/
  5. If there are no objections, I would like to be counted into this (it sounds like fun )
  6. Technically, Vegeta is a boss in some of the Budokai games. I don't think that counts though
  7. You, Luke! Only YOU can do it justice! D:
  8. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem - Gateway to Destiny CALLED.
  9. Yo...you got the same guitar as me. Except mine's an old, damaged turd...either way, yeah just practice scales, chords, power chords, picking technique and...that'd be about the best start anyone can give you. Also, that stuff Epitaph told you about the software is 100% accurate and you should probably take more advice from him than from me.
  10. I've often felt the same way about it...but I never got around to adding to it because no one ever mentioned it to me. Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking of making like a full-on 6-minute song out of it, but I'm a little lazy lately.
  11. I felt it was time to get back into the WiP forums to ACTUALLY get better, no joke. Remember that shitty old Corneria remix I did with programmed guitars? I recorded my own guitars, changed the synth and converted the drums to Drumkit From Hell, and entered it to Dwelling of Duels. It got 13th out of 18, which is a lot better than my last entry which got 11th out of 11. Cryosis - Star Fox - Militiae Corneriae I know all about the drums being too far back, and am currently working on that. I'll upload a new one (on Tindeck?) when I've fixed the drum problem, but if you guys can give me some feedback on the tone, synth, and overall arrangement...that'd be awesome. Thanks!
  12. Not sure if this counts as "rock" so much as "fucking metal" but I guess it deserves a mention
  13. I think your sounds are really good, save for the guitar. The drums could definitely be better, but I started out with FL Studio's RealDrumKit anyway and have since built up my library. Anyway, as for the guitar...I'll tell you the same thing that Nekofrog and others on here told me: There are a lot of guitarists on OCRemix, and most of them including myself would be glad to help you out. Just say the word, and you're guaranteed someone'll step up.
  14. Does Cakewalk let you preview the notes while you're transcribing them? I have a copy of Sonar LE, I should probably install that now XD
  15. Aw damn. I just used to use Guitar Pro, and use the piano feature to write all my stuff into MIDI's. But I guess for someone who's actually remixing it, it's a bit less simple. I wish you well on that, though. The half-time sounds awesome. I've just been listening to everything past the intro, and I think it'll sound awesome. Now I just gotta tweak everything correctly, and laugh manically.
  16. Ohhhh, kay! I understand now. Thanks for clarifying Are you trying to manually transcribe it for a website, or for your own remix? Because if no website already has a transcribed MIDI file, I'm afraid I don't see any other way to do it... Someone else might have a solution for ya, I'm not too knowledgeable in such matters.
  17. Yeah, by default your FL Studio will open Fruity Limiter, so all you gotta do is select the Master channel in your Mixer, and Fruity Limiter will be in the 8th plugin slot. I assume you know how to remove plugins, so I'll leave that to you.
