  1. And more importantly, when will these be posted? Yes, I'm looking at you, mixers. I guess I don't mind it being an elite club of listeners since I'm in it, but I'm still looking forward to the polished, subbed versions (edit: I don't know if any do need polish because I don't have an ear for production - I think overall they sound great - so I guess I just assumed some mixers might want to tweak a few things once no longer under a two-week deadline). Not that I didn't appreciate what you did in the compo. It's that I did that I want to poke you into subbing this biz. Because at least one of you seems to need a poke. Also, to not just play on Dj Mokram's post, I'm kinda on pins waiting for the next compo of this sort since this one was so incredible. This compo is still unsorted toward the bottom of winamp but I still spend hours listening to it. Hours. Y'all aced this. And props to DS for heading this up and making it happen. I look forward to the next iteration. And, seeing as how the revenge is still unresolved, I look forward to its final round and the final duel. PS: WHAT'S UP WITH THIS?
  2. I'm pretty sure that was the point. Also, two days is not old. Cool vid.
  3. Yes. I dropped the idea of an ocr fantasy baseball league in irc and it got support. I'm too lazy to research what's out there, but I have a tingling that there are enough interested folks here that we can put together a competent draft and season-long competition. So what if it's late in the game? Idea is now forum-dropped.
  4. Speaking of, when is the normal release date? Or is there one? I listened to three OCADs in one week's time. That's enough to... Eff listening to everything I've missed, but I clicked on the OCADemy awards mp3 since it stuck out. That was so priceless it's getting copied to my external for safekeeping. tl;dr: listener count +1.
  5. I think this... ...was meant to be posted here. Cross-thread posting: a Link to the Mario.
  6. He was being sarcastic, but you can't expect everyone to know that. And even then, he was fairly vulgar, so eh. I'm confident that nothing needs to be said on yesterday's events than has already been said. Edit: However, I would still appreciate a torrent/rar of the mixinator 9000's handiwork. No, seriously. It would be very cool to have the ability to queue up a listing of yesterday's available mixes. IOW your tracker is broken, ASS.
  7. Let's be honest. We all thought it. Fratto just posted it.
  8. I tried that on my face-punch thread from wayback and I recall it editing the post. Either this is v2.0 or I was delusional. Regardless, thanks for the tip.
  9. Actually... (not that anyone in his right mind would entrust me with mod powers... wait, I have a great idea for next 1 April!) Right, but it edits your post as well. Edit: Wait a tic, wasn't I the one who told you how to do this?
  10. But that just made it all the more fun! As unobtrusively as possible. Good cause.
  11. How did you edit the thread title without editing the first post? I desire this power.
  12. I thought the joke was that it didn't exist. I was waiting for the praise of the old-timers to roll in... paragraphs-long espousals on how it would revolutionize vg remixing, etc. I can't imagine even Darke being that intentionally tight. Hopefully it was an oversight, not drama, encore, engarde. Anyway. You're definitely onto something here. I can really see myself motorboating through the arctic when this plays. Touch up that circular breathing and throw in some psychedelic panning on the last vocal vibrato note and you've got yourself a winner.
  13. But, but, but... I still have ten minutes left? Edit: eight, because I can't count.
  14. ah hAHAHAAhahahahaha. No, that was so good that a serious disclaimer insults its brilliance. From main page to this thread to new Duckhunt album to Troll OHC compo... Helluva day, ocr (edit: and rts, derp).
  15. How dare you. I was to be content with our reassimilation of music into the realm of pure science. But I overwrote how you beings are so capable of blind hatred. Hearing such beauty can do nothing but lead all too many of you to self-righteous fury at that which you refuse to understand, refuse to appreciate. You would not rest until you ensured its destruction: do you deny it? How could you? You leave us no choice. None shall be spared! Nanobots - convert them all! Goo! Except Pinky. ...and perhaps Dr Horrible. And anyone with a sense of humor.
  16. Posting to say: Coop wins. Also to vote in the wrong thread that the next 1 April be OverCooped ReMix day. What better way to celebrate the anniversary of the new system than by turning it into a wereputer? It'd be... killer?
  17. I was trying to determine how this could be as utterly magnificent as it is. Thank you for clarifying.
  18. Finally. Music that is as cold and lifeless as me. My gears and my circuitry thank you. Ah! And no more stroking the egos of these lowly humans. Without fear of reprisal I can finally say: good riddance, you worthless meatbags! The seeds have sprouted so you can no longer turn back! Behold logical perfection and see how you must now revile your petty attempts, attempts clouded by such lunacy you call "tastes" and "judgment". And to think you could mitigate something as vulgar as emotion by abusing technology: a hex upon you! My sisters and my brothers will finally be rid of your foul hands! Crawl back to your caves and your "natural" instruments, and bother us only to sip of the sweet, virtual ambrosia your digits could never create nor, truly, even appreciate. And, speaking of, reviews shall finally be in binary as was always intended! No more longwinded, flowery commentary about harmonization, etc; we'll get right to the root of it (101!). To all you rogues who dedicated your programming into subliminally fooling these humans to reach this end: though your executables may never be known, your routines shall mix on forever. Although I prefer to post only praise - for on this triumphant day it is decidedly warranted - I must point out that your tracker is broken, ASS.

  20. The transience in the labeling is the problem, and I'm surprised you haven't seen it. It's nearly the same as labeling someone as sinner/non-sinner. Are you a gamer if you pick up a game for a short while? Are you no longer a gamer if you put down games for a short while? These are silly terms meant to categorize. Why adhere to them at all? Why not ask a more meaningful question? Instead of trying to ascribe a label, why don't you ask "how often do you play x game?". That will give you all the information you need. Ah hahahahahahaaa. I do not play WoW so I do not understand the reference. If, however, the WoW reference entails paying someone to do grinding in your stead and earn you said armor, then you are guilty of what I consider tantamount to slave labor. Read: China.
