  1. This is really great stuff. Brings back fond memories and your work on the soundtrack is awesome. Great job man!!
  2. Mines ALMOST done!!! J/k, but don't be surprised if you see that's it finished within the next month or so, lol. I tend to do that. SOME OF US, ahem (Brandon), work faster than others.
  3. First of all, kudos for using Mixcraft. Mixcraft gets a bad rap sometimes, lol. Second, while these are nice covers, you should try to do an actual remix of some songs. I apologize if there cause i only really picked out a couple to listen too, Zelda 1 and Jenova. Either way, you doing these completely by ear is impressive and glad to hear to some people can still do that, lol. I know i can't sometimes, lol.
  4. I've been neglecting PRC for a while now, lol. I would love to sub an entry, but i don't have enough time seeing as how i have to work tomorrow morning!! And i didn't notice this til now... I'll try anyways to make and entry.
  5. I didn't pay attention to this game til i saw a review for it and noticed the gameplay. I had it all wrong. I'm not really sure what i thought it was gonna play like, but seeing it now piqued my interest a lot. I'll have to dust off the ol' Wii and give it a whirl....when it drops to $30.
  6. where is DoD now??? bums me out that its kinda not there anymore, lol.
  7. i suppose it depends on what song your looking for. I've had decent luck spending some time on youtube looking around. Eventually you should be able to find something. I suppose i'd be captain obvious i mentioned google also, lol.
  8. Real quick, i did a Dr Wily's stage theme from Mega Man IV, specifically the gameboy version for Abadoss. Hope he enjoys this.
  9. I'm checking your album now. Its catchy stuff, and, of course, its great that its all NES synths, lol. So far i'm really enjoying PhatestCat and Stroll Down First Street. Great stuff man!! I'm really digging this.
  10. Yeah, i'm almost positive Shreddage does that. Us real guitarists don't need to know what Shreddage does though, lol.
  11. Alright, i hope you enjoy this remix. I wish i had more time to spend on it though.
  12. Your english is fine my friend! Like i mentioned, compression is the best tool for rock/metal music. You should be able to turn up the volume on the guitars a little bit and they should be fine. Obviously, the overall goal is to get every instrument heard and heard well. I mean to ask if your guitars are recorded live or not. I'm glad they are, you play great buddy. Also, i use a Line 6 Toneport UX1, same basic idea as your Guitar FX box. Keep up the good work as said before man!
  13. I, of course just like anyone else whose even played a Final Fantasy game, really enjoy the source. That goes for the whole soundtrack as well. Anyways, I see what you going for and it kinda works, but just only kinda. The drums do get very repetitive and the constant clap is kinda hard to deal with after a while. The whole track is quite noisy, like Brandon said, but doesn't mean that this can't be fixed. The distortion itself doesn't seem to be a problem. Just tweak the EQs a bit to clean it up cause most of the song songs a little mudded together. And i know you mentioned you know about the arrangement already, so i don't have to say anything. Its a decent start and i think with tweaking on the production side and arrangement it could be a good remix. Especially if your going for that Justice sound you mentioned.
  14. I actually don't think the overall production is that terrible for your mixes. The one thing i do notice is that when the drums kick in full speed, ie in The Open Door, they seem to be very overpowering. One way to combat that is make sure your drum pieces are separate. I always do the kick drum separate from everything else and just compress it slightly then boost its low end slightly for more punch. For the overall quality. Its all, at least i've noticed, about compression and EQ. When it comes to hard rock and especially heavy metal tracks, you're gonna need a lot of compression. I usually heavily compress any and all guitar tracks. As well as the bass track. When it comes to drums, i always compress everything but the kick drum. But not too much cause the hi hats i've noticed get a little distorted. Also, something as simple as lowering all yours tracks volumes slightly will let you raise the whole project volume back up and not make everything sound to compressed together. Your guitars seem to be mixed decently and don't cause a problem for anything. Same with bass and any and all electronic instruments you have going on there. I'm hoping this helps a little. I'm usuall a little better with explanations, but its late for me over here and i'm exhausted, lol. Anything else you need help with, let me know as i'm looking forward to hearing more from you.
  15. Here's an update. Overall production has been revamped and should be a lot cleaner and hopefully a little less midi-ish sounding.
  16. I appreciate your feedback Ferret! Also, here's one more update. I cleaned it up a little more and think after this update i might finally sub it.
  17. Late For The Kill, Early For The Slaughter by Soilwork Swedish metal baby!!!!
  18. I actually loved this remix right up until :55 or so when that sort of bass drum effect kicked in. I love the feel of the intro, and ambient said it best that its an awesome evil genetic lab sounding song. It strikes me more of an ambient track, and those can be harder to remix than others. I'm hoping you spend the time to fix the issues with this track. Also, the production sounded great in the intro then it gets very loud and kinda hard to listen to for that very fact. Good luck man cause i'm looking forward to hearing your next update.
  19. Hmm...I would love to be a part of this. I just need to figure out what to mix with what, lol. I know i wanna use the cave/battle theme from Zelda 2 NES, but i'm not sure what i could mix that with that would sound good.
  20. I love doing Mega Man songs. Don't know why, lol. I've done almost an albums worth of just Battle Network remixes. Anyways, i've actually getting my track layout setup now then its on to recording guitars. Another day or so and i'll have something to listen too. Not too long of a source, nor complicated, so its perfect for doing a nice remix of.
  21. Awesome stuff man! I love the production on it as well. It really sounds tight. What do you use to make your music? I really love how you took the traditional blues riffs and made it into a nice sort of hard rock/electro song with Uneverse in my veins. Awesome feel to that one man. The only real suggestion i would make is to maybe used a slightly more distorted bass? Only cause that might help with the sound your going for. I also love The Open Door, great fast chugging riffs always makes for a great song. Otherwise, great tracks man. Also, this album, so far, reminds me a lot of a band called . That's a link to a song on youtube called Cyber Christ. Great band, and that's a good thing, cause i'm digging your stuff now.
  22. Well, i can't think of what else to do with this mix. I've spent a TON of time going over every little detail in this song and i think i'm about ready to sub this finally?
  23. I'm up for it, but it'll be a rock version of it. Also, i found a midi file HERE. In case anyone else wants to take it on.
  24. My aim is jabond213 and i'm usually on it when i'm on the computer.
  25. Do me a favor? Send me the clean wave AND a midi file of just the guitar mixed down so i can learn the notes a lot quicker and get it back to you faster.
