  1. I appreciate your comments Emunator. Yeah, i realized that too about the drums and strings. I change both those samples to some better sounding ones. The strings are now the Miroslav Philharmonik samples. That and i messed around with the mixing in terms of compression and EQ and i think i got everything to sound a bit better. Also, i do plan on adding an ending of sorts. Just trying to get the production done first.
  2. Lol. yeah, i know. Maybe i'll sub it. I only really did this cause i bored the other night and i really like the Zelda 2 soundtrack. I was gonna sub my Zelda 1 dungeon mix, but maybe i changed my mind.
  3. Do it man, do it. DO IT!! Is that working? Cause i really think you should do it.
  4. Yeah, i saw that. For some reason when i saw Electronic Rhythm and lead i was thinkg electronic KEYBOARD. haha....LOL.....anyways, yeah, so that's that.
  5. Yeah, i tried a few different things with this remix too in terms of production. Seems it worked.
  6. Alright. For now i re-recorded that one off part of the solo. I also adjusted a lot in terms of mixing/production. Hopefully this sounds better.
  7. Yeah, i sort of threw this together in a couple hours last nite, lol. I do plan on making the below mentioned changes though and uploading it. Thanks guys.
  8. Hey guys. I did this just cause i love the theme. I don't plan on subbing this. Unless of course it has any sort of potential. I just thought i do this real quick. I'm sure i've got other remix matters to attend to, but its nice to take a break and do something for fun, lol. I hope you guys enjoy it!
  9. I like it, but then again i like any remix with a guitar. I like the way you did it. Its a lot more melodic and moving now. I agree that the long intro/build up kinda takes away some of the power of the track though. Once the main theme of it kicks in, its really cool. Of course, considering that its a live recording of 1 acoustic guitar, it sounds really good. Ya know, now that i heard this, i gotta make a remix of this theme for myself, lol.
  10. Yeah, i hear that too. Its a slightly older remix of mine. That's why.
  11. The downloads ask for a login, but i got the 3 to play on your blog so i'm checking them out now.
  12. I really enjoyed this. I suppose it could be labeled as easy listening. Either way, its a great track and well mixed/produced. I don't think the synths are a problem at all. Nor do i think that this track is really all that basic man. I'm more of a metal head though, so maybe someone else can give you more of an idea as to what to do next with the synths. I really like that sort of square lead that plays in the background. The drums also seem well balanced. All in all man, its a great start and a great song. BTW, i actually think tindeck is easier to upload to, but that might just be personal preference, lol.
  13. I love songs like this also and i can't wait to here more from you. I always write metal/rock. I should start writing other genres.
  14. I wrote this track and afterwards realized it had a very E.S. Posthumus sound too it, heh. Its a short and very catchy movie trailer-esque song. I would love to replace the strings that i have in there right now with more realistic sounding ones, but i don't have the vst's for that. Oh well, enjoy it anyways.
  15. Nice man! I love orchestral stuff like this. I wanna write this kinda stuff but don't have the money to drop on the QLSO gold, lol. One day!!!! ONE DAY!!!!
  16. hmmm...yeah...so this is INTERESTING....
  17. I was just gonna post that i did a metal arrangement of the theme, but Dj Mokram beat me to it. lol,.
  18. I actually did a Bowser's castle remix in my usual metal style. Its not on your list, but i know you said that even any song from that game would be appreciated. You can download it HERE: or check it out on youtube . Its an older remix of mine, but i hope you enjoy it,
  19. I'm kinda interested in doing a little collab with you. It would be on an original track for now. Although i've got a dungeon Zelda NES remix that i've got done, but its got at least one spot where it could use an electronic lead. I really wanna check out your stuff but none of the links in the first post are working for me right now. Let me know?
  20. LOL! I guess that's to be expected of me now? hahaha, i couldn't stop laughing.
  21. Welcome aboard sir and glad to have you! I gotta say, its a start. Maybe not a strong one, but its good to see people even trying their hand at music making. Anyways, it seems like you spent a little time on this. That constant drum beat gets kinda old, but that's easy to improve on. Try changing up the beat and/or using a different snare. Nothing really seems too bright right now. I think that if you added some slight reverb and very slight delay to the lead synth as well as tweaking th EQ on the higher end would bring that out more. Than maybe adjust the lows on the EQ for the drum track to help make it a little more punchy would make a difference. I also don't hear a bass track, but for the kind of remix this is, it isn't totally necessary. I would still strongly consider writing one though. When writing a track, you have to make sure you think of all the instruments. Make sure you've got a good soundscape, meaning everything is spread out across the speakers and that nothing overpowers any other instrument. Its a decent start, but in due time you could make this into a good mix.
  22. Hey man. I wish i knew how to use FL studio more than i do, but i get by alright. Anyways, Childhood's Cave is a very melodic and soothing track. Reminds me of something from Zelda Ocarina of Time. Probably cause of the way your lead sounds. Don't get me wrong, that's a good thing in my book. When the drums come in around :47 or so, i would consider making them a little louder. Or at least setting them up so its sounding more towards the high end on the EQ. To kinda give it that buildup feel. Then later on in the track bring them at least a little louder and fuller. Most likely after the cymbal crash at 1:33. I'm not sure if your considering making it longer, but i would towards the end of what you've got, add a nice quiet choir/vox section that plays the background chords/notes. Then maybe a nice harmony solo, nothing fast or fancy though. Then maybe bring it back in for one more short chorus. For Forest Transformed, it seems to be a very jazz themed track. Or least with the sax and the organ solos. I like the slap bass, gives the song a nice backdrop, and the sort of quiet fading strings are a nice touch. I don't know if you plan on making this any longer than already is, but its still a great track. You seem to already have a good knowledge of music to have even those solos plugged in nicely. For both track, your production seems very good. I can't turn the speakers up too loud right now, but it seems that everything is very well balanced and mixed.
  23. Ya know, its funny cause i've done 4 Battle network remixes so far, lol. One of thme is from the first game, the others are from 3, 4, and 6. My fav so far is the hero theme remix from 6 which is up on ReMix:Thasauce. I really wanna be part of this but don't know if i've got the time. Let me know what the deadline/timeframe is and i can probably make time. That is of course, if your willing to have me be a part.
  24. As always, i'm willing to help man. I'm in a spot now where i love helping people cause i don't to spend time thinking of my own original stuff, lol. Nah, i just like playing guitar. Keep in mind that my main style is full on metal, BUT i can absolutely do slower and cleaner stuff such as this. Check out my reverbnation page for examples of my work Particularly Be Strong for a good example of what i consider to be a slower song, heh. Also, is another good example.
