  1. DJP, *smacks head* honestly, i'm not sure why it's not showing up. That has been the link i've always used, but i've got a few spare backups... I guess my bandwidth had skyrocketed and in my massive frenzy to unload my drive, I believe I deleted that one on accident. Anyway, sorry for the delay on the reply to this email. I've been out of town in since last Wednesday. (june 23rd) aGain, hope you enjoy it! /justin > 404 currently. > > > -djp > > _____ > > From: Justin R. 3. Welcome to OverClocked ReMix's ReMix Reviews forum, with dedicated topics/discussions for every mix. Before you get started reading, replying, and posting, please read the following guidelines. By following them, you make our jobs running the site and moderating the forums easier, and reduce the likelihood that your post will be edited or deleted against your wishes. 1. Post on-topic reviews that specifically address the corresponding ReMix. Don't post generalized opinions like "I hated this game" or "Why are there so many techno remixes?" or "This is the only good mix in the last month". Your review should be specifically about that ReMix. 2. If you didn't like a particular mix, please refrain from using an insulting or offensive tone. It's okay to say you don't like a mix, wouldn't recommend a mix, would never listen to it again, etc., but making personal attacks or posting extreme and non-constructive reviews like "this sucks" etc. is not cool. Just try to keep things civil, constructive, and respectful - again, this makes everyone's life easier. 3. When replying to someone else's review, please keep the above points in mind. Two wrongs do not make a right - if someone else posted a comment that was out of line or that you disagree with, please refrain from extended debates. The purpose of these reviews is to let each individual voice their opinion of the mix - replying to other's views is a secondary purpose and should not get out of hand. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree. Use the General Discussion forum for extended discussion about topics not related to the mix, or send a private message to the individual involved if the message is specifically for them and not of general interest. 4. Reviews aren't limited to professional, technical review posts. General feedback is always welcome. ReMixers and other fans love hearing how much a mix resonated with you, moved you or helped you through a rough day, etc. 5. Do not be discouraged from reviewing a ReMix that has not received comments in a while. There are no restrictions on what ReMixes you can comment on, and ReMixes with fewer reviews or no recent reviews deserve additional attention. You never know what great tracks you're missing out on. Why not go through them all! 6. There's sometimes a delay between when the newest mixes are posted and when they become "reviewable". You may need to wait a bit - it's not a bug. 7. When viewing the list of topics in this forum, they are ordered by most recent response. You can either search on a given mix title or ID number to find the mix you want to comment on, or access it via that mix's details / download page. 8. ReMixers are not only allowed, but are encouraged to post comments regarding their own mixes. Some of the things you might include would be your inspiration for making the mix, the equipment you used, your own evaluation of how you did, and relevant anecdotes. 9. Failure to read these guidelines and follow them could result in your post being edited, deleted, or if there's a consistent problem in your account being banned. Please help us out and follow the above guidelines - it shows consideration not only to other visitors of the site and to us, but to the artists that spent their time to contribute this free music for all to enjoy. Thanks,
  4. Aaron & Noel Canaday [removed] can someone contact?
  5. 1. Thanks to all seeders - TRULY appreciated, huge help. 2. I'm working with Aubrey to redesign the tracker so it can be included in an IFRAME/OBJECT tag and show up directly on mix download pages, or even the homepage. This should increase the popularity of the already popular torrents, so the more seeders, the merrier!
  6. Checked it out - it doesn't *totally* cut out, but it seems to drop away to some 'artistic' ambient fx, sort of a distorted wind of sorts, which is still audible until the very last second at 4'00". You'll need to listen on headphones or with the volume louder to hear it. I don't know, kind of different. I didn't find it prohibitive, but if people listen at lower volumes they'll just think it has 15 seconds of padding...
  7. I'm not voting, I'm just posting to say I think it's overall a good piece of mixing that's being tarnished by a blues/piano section in the middle that's... really spastic.

  9. YO!!! Let me introduce myself, my name is Francisco Javier Gamiño a.k.a. ::Y@NKO:., I'm mexican and I am 19 years old, I love videogames and music, and that's why I decided to make a remix. ::About my election If we're talking about great music, the Chrono Trigger Soundtrack can't be beaten, everybody praises it and songs like crono's theme, corridors of time, the ocean palace, etc. are really masterpieces, but something is missing here. Nobody remembers good ol' Robo, his theme is the best of them all, it has a little bit of techno, great beat, the bass, etc. The song is almost perfect, that's why I decided to make a tribute, my way. ::About the remix The song is divided in 5 parts, each of them explained: 1.- Intro: the first notes played, without percussion and up to here there's not even the slightest hint of robo. 2.- Let's get started!: after the first reverse cymbal crash, the real percussions start, and the song starts getting some rhythm. 3.- Sounds familiar?: suddenly, the melody changes and the original tune starts to reveal itself, as if it wanted us to remember the good ol' times. 4.- Robo's theme: Once we remembered, we can finally continue with Robo. 5.- Nostalgia: The song's climax, going back to where we started, but with more power. It goes like that for a while until it ends with a nice fade out. ::Download ::Misc. Information Mi email address: yankogaf@yahoo.com.mx My website: http://yanko.dyndns.org/ [it's still on construction and slow as hell, that's why I created an angelfire account for my submissions] Well, I really hope you like it, my cousin heard it and recommended me to send it to you guys, I hope it is worthy of OverClocked. If you need more information, don't hesitate to contact me. thank you good fight, good night
  10. I liked it quite a bit. Certainly DOES involve arrangement. -djp Hello! Game: Super Castlevania IV Name of Remix: Into the Corridor of Shadows Remixer: Nigel Simmons Link: Thank you very much!
  11. Hey djpretzel! Finished a remix of the main tune from the Amiga game Lost Patrol. Figured I'd fire it your way since you seemed to like my Crazy Comets remix. Since, from what I know, remixes of Amiga tracks are pretty rare (and good ones being very rare) I figured it would be nice with some more Amiga tracks on OC. Not saying this is an excellent track, and not the best one I've ever done...but hey, people might want to hear it. Cheers and keep up the awesome work! Makke PS. let me know when you've grabbed the tune. My webscpace on the school account is very limited, and I need it to store temp-stuff.
  12. This is my second remix submission, and as indicated in the subject, its a remix of Megaman 4. I want you to keep in mind that I have created the track to be dj friendly, if you do not wish it to be dj friendly i can certainly change that. I am hosting the track on my own webserver, The name of the track is Cossack Rush and my dj and producer name is dj slipstream. The track is 4 minutes long and encoded at 128, though I can increase the bitrate if you wish.Let me know. Cheers, Nathan
