  1. Oh man, that was fast. I loved Klonoa 2 for the PS2. I played a little bit of the original, but with the remake, I think I'll switch to that. I agree with the music as well. It's very unique. There are lots of very good ambient pieces from the second one I enjoy.
  2. Hey, now that's an idea, I'll just have all the Monkey Island characters on bikes!
  3. Oh man, this is the best idea for any fanart competition. I think even I may participate in this. I'm torn between Monkey Island and Full Throttle.
  4. Hm, needs quite a bit of work. Firstly, try to stay away from using common FL presets. If you're using Sytrus, try making your own presets with it. As for the arrangement itself, it doesn't deviate enough from the source. Some suggestions though: incorporate some personal touches into the mix. Try throwing in some variations to the original melody. Your bassline also needs to be more prominent. That's basically my take on it. Keep working on it, though! Feel free to keep us posted on later revisions!
  5. Hey, thanks! Yeah, I'm surprised no one has done any remixes of it either. I recently got into the series when the first one came bundled with my Saturn. I wasn't too impressed with the music in that game(minus the first level), but once I got the second game, I fell in love with its music. Of course, when I got PD Saga, I was blown away even more.
  6. Hey, thanks a lot! I appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! Even though I already submitted it in, I sure hope so as well.
  7. Updated(4/27/09)! http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?action=single&f=PanzerDragoonZwei-LagisAscent.mp3 Enjoy! And tell me what you think. I made a decent number of changes. Original source: Please note that this remix plays at a lower key than the original.
  8. Without a doubt, I'd go with A. Back then, I feel games were more about challenge, and the huge sense of accomplishment that beating one brought.
  9. Excellent job so far! This style you used seems to work very well. My only suggestion would be to keep working and expanding it. Add some more variety into it as well, and give it more of an original flair. Like... try deviating a bit from the source's melody, and give it your own touch. Keep it up!
  10. Haha, even when I got it for $49.99 when it first came out, I thought THAT was the greatest deal ever. If any of you haven't played the games yet, don't ditch this opportunity!
  11. Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely take all that into consideration. I've been working on it a bit today, so I'll upload another WIP when it's ready.
  12. Very very nice! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the project, as I love adventure games. The main character reminds me a lot of Guybrush Threepwood from the Monkey Island games. From watching the video, I can already tell it's going to be a blast! The dialogue (from what was there) was quite a hoot to listen to! And you're doing a great job voicing the main character so far. While the music is very well-composed, I don't feel it fits very well with the rest of the game(at least from what I'm hearing so far), considering it's comedic value. This music seems better used in a heroic RPG or something. Congrats though! I'll definitely be keeping my eyes on this project! You've got me interested! Is there a website where I can follow the status of the project?

  14. Absolutely fantastic work here. The Weather Report inspiration fits in perfectly. Although with bands like Weather Report, the songs themselves tend to be very scattered. You got the instrumentation correct here, but the style seems too melodic for something modeling after Weather Report. In any case, though, the style you used fits in great! I can't wait to hear more of this. Oh, and the bass is sexy.
  15. Not bad! The composition itself shows a lot of promise. Now, you just need a little more instrumentation and better samples. Keep it up! I'd love to see where this would end up!
