  1. Whoa, dang, if I wasn't absorbed in projects already, I would LOVE to participate in this. NiGHTS is one of my favorite games of all time, and that's partly thanks to the music! Although, the deadlines are very doable. I can definitely fit the WIPs in the schedule. I think I'm interested in "Message in Nightopia" for now, since I have a few good ideas for that one. Heck, maybe I'll start on it now!
  2. Haha, the odds of finding those are slim, especially since most people here (I'm guessing) probably only work in Stereo, and are limited to that. Although I do agree that incorporating surround remixes would be an awesome idea.
  3. Only at my friend's house, a VGL concert I went to, and there was an Earthworm Jim ReMix on the Earthworm Jim Anthology album I bought. So far, that's it!
  4. No worries! Thanks for keeping us posted, haha. Cool, can't wait!
  5. A few years back, I was introduced to Seiken Densetsu 3 thanks to rom translators! Now, thanks to my very small patience and my lack of skill in RPGs, I didn't get very far into it. However, there's always something that I loved about it; the artstyle and the music. My favorite track was always Innocent Sea/Water(same melody for both). Anyways, upon listening to the game's soundtrack again, I decided to see on here if there was a mix available for this track. So I chose this one at random. Firstly, the instrumentation is absolutely beautiful. The big guitar ensemble coupled with the voice harmonies, flutes, and drums lend very well to each other, and the result is a masterful mixture of something that is very pleasing to the ears. Not only that, but the arrangement is great as well. I love the little touches you added in to create more ambience. The only issue I'm having is that the mixing is a little too hot. Otherwise, everything's fine. Overall, awesome job at mixing one of my favorite pieces from Seiken Densetsu 3! Keep it up!
  6. GAGGGHH, you're killing us with suspense! Awesome, though. Glad to hear they'll be posted as OCRemixes! In any case, I consider that a prize in itself!
  7. Yep, I got the message this morning! I'm hoping it's either tonight or tomorrow now! Oh, so your Macbook's working again, Tepid?
  8. Firstly, superb guitar playing! It fits in excellently as the lead for this piece, and it sounds beautiful. Overall, great instrumentation, with the small exception of the brass instruments. But the guitars, drums, and organ obviously overshadow that. With the exception of a few added parts different from the original, the arrangement doesn't differ too much from the source. If it wasn't for the superb sound and guitar playing, it would be a bigger issue. Overall, excellent job on one of my favorite pieces from Sonic 3! I absolutely love the new sound you've given it, and I'll be sure to check out your other pieces!
  9. Haha, oh wow! I never would've thought that. I always noticed the wave, but I never stopped to think about what it sounded like.
  10. Hey, I'd love to help! This is the game you told me about earlier, yes? Does it have to be right now exactly? I'll be busy today, but I can review over the document later tonight!
  11. I may not know you or be very familiar with your work, but Happy Birthday! By the way, your name friggin' rocks!
  12. Wow, I think I might get this! Even though I already have a good number of those games, it's too good to pass up! Thanks! Since I haven't logged into Steam for a while, I miss out on a lot of these deals.
  13. Haha, looks more like "Stars of Arcadia" to me. But still, this looks promising! Here's to hoping there's a sequel in the works!
  14. Great remix. One of the more interesting interpretations of this piece I've heard in a while. Firstly, the instrumentation is a bit of a mixed bag. The drums are adequate, nothing too special. Some of the synths are pretty bland, while others work pretty well. Even though I've heard a lot of these synth presets over and over again, the arrangement more than makes up for it. The arrangement is really really nice, and a lot of the harmonies add a nice touch to it. It has SO much that the original piece didn't have, and yet retains the same feel of the original. Overall, good job. If I was on the judges panel, I would consider this barely passable, mainly because of the production quality. But hey, arrangement is where this piece really succeeds!
  15. Just saw the new video... awesome stuff! The jump from 2D to 3D is impressive! And the dialogue is great, as usual. I can't wait to see more! Any chances of a PC release?
  16. Haha, sorry, looks like you posted right when I was writing mine! An interesting point. I do agree that the most of those people started off amazed at the ability to run unsigned software on their consoles, and decided to make a business off of it. Once again, I'm very mixed on this subject. In agreement with Ramaniscene's post, I believe that we have the right to play with, destroy, dismantle, and enhance our own property.
  17. Agreed, Level 99! With modding, there's so much awesome user-created content to be played with. Years ago, I thought it was so cool that I could have my GBA play MIDI files and run emulators! When it comes to this whole modding business, I'm a bit mixed on the issue. I may be against modding for personal financial gain, but I would be more than willing to have a shop mod my own console for me, mainly because I don't trust myself with opening up my older consoles and installing the chips myself.
  18. Wow, I didn't know this was official! I've always wanted to see Mickey go down a direction like this. I can't wait to hear more on this one! I also find it neat and odd that Warren Spector is helming this project. At least this game won't fail in the design department!
  19. Oh wow, this sounds very promising. If I wasn't busy with starting college and other projects, I'd LOVE to lend a hand! Keep us posted, this seriously sounds like an awesome project! How much time do you guys have to develop the title? Edit: Oh wait, you answered that a minute ago, whoops!
  20. Well, I hope to hear more soon! We all have lives, so I can't complain.
  21. Once again, your style continues to impress. I love the combination of lo-fi and hi-fi instruments. Bravo! No real complaints from me. Keep working on it, I can't wait to hear more!
  22. Heyy, congrats you two! I wish you both a happy marriage!
  23. Happy Birthday Pretzelman! May your new year be an awesome one!
  24. Yeah, me too! I can't wait! By the way, a quick question. Depending on how they're judged, will the entries also be posted on the site as a ReMix?
  25. Yep, now it works! I gave it a listen! So far, it's pretty neat. I like that you made it more upbeat. I also like the little synth blips you've added in. I think you still need to work on the overall arrangement, though. Right now, it sounds like a faster, more upbeat, and less ambient version of the original. Try adding in some new segments to give it a new flair! Be creative with it, make it seem fresh, but make it familiar at the same time! Try changing direction a bit on a few areas? Also, try to get some better sounding drum samples(mainly the snares and toms). You've got the right idea with them, but they sound too midi-ish, especially when paired with everything else. Keep working on it, and keep us posted! You're doing great on it so far!
