  1. Gave some of his stuff a listen... great stuff! Bookmarked!
  2. Bwahahaha, brilliant. I love how fast this became a meme.
  3. Hey zircon! I heard the FL9 demo track, and I love it! Fantastic job you two! :) And congrats! I think it's sooo cool that Image-Line chose you guys.

  4. Hey Level 99, no worries! :)

  5. Hey DrumUltimA(or Doug)! Happy Birthday! May you eat cake!
  6. Ooh!! This is lookin' good! I can't wait to play this. I loved the original Okami.
  7. Hey Retroman! I listen to a lot of 80s music, but it isn't quite along the lines you are looking for(very synthy, but more edgy rather than uplifting). Here are a couple that could probably fit in, though: David Bowie - Loving The Alien: Huey Lewis and The News - The Power of Love:
  8. The link isn't working, but I can sort of imagine. Since it can only take place in a small rural town, there are many things you can do with the concept. Maybe you can involve themes of isolation? I dunno, have it as a town with people who have seen little of the outside world. As for the main character, maybe he could've been found unconscious and heavily wounded outside of the town, and the people brought him in to keep him safe. Once you assume the role of the character, you have no choice but to reside in the village until your wounds heal. This will give heavy insight into the many character personalities of the game. I guess you could go from there. I was sort of thinking a very hardcore religious setting with many dark secrets behind it. And you as the main character have nowhere else to go because of your physical state. That's just one thought. I could come up with more!
  9. Fantastic job Tepid(or Phil)! I'm glad I can finally hear the final version of this piece! Overall, awesome arrangement, and I love the disco-feel of it. And once again, congrats on winning 2nd Place! By the way, it was great sharing insights with you during the contest!
  10. Hey guys! I've been considering an idea for an arrangement project. Are any of you familiar with Totaka's Song? It's a hidden track in practically every Nintendo game he's composed for. I was wondering if it would be acceptable to do an arrangement of it, considering it's in such a HUGE variety of games. For those who aren't familiar with it, check this out!: Thanks!
  11. Just saw a gameplay video for this. Man, I'm pumped for this now! I'm so glad a PC release is on the way! Even just by watching the video, I love how immersive it seems. It's got a great sense of atmosphere about it. And about the music... I haven't played through it yet, but sometimes the lack of music adds on to the atmospheric feel of it.
  12. Happy Birthday buddy! May you always be at the maximum possible level! May you enjoy the spoils that Birthdays bring... such as cake!
  13. Oh wow, I definitely have to buy this when it comes out! I love Miles Davis' work, and those preview tracks sounded awesome!
  14. Wow! I'd seriously love to see this in action. I find it amazing that the AI can maneuver through the randomly generated levels.
  15. Let's see... Panzer Dragoon Zwei(sooo addictive, it never gets old for me. Plus, everything about it is awesome. The art style, the gameplay, music, etc.) Persona 4 Streets of Rage 2 Monkey Island (Probably my current favorite adventure game, along with the Sam and Max series. I've always loved adventure games, mainly for their writing.) Team Fortress 2
  16. Oh, just a question. We aren't doing anything from Christmas NiGHTS, are we?
  17. If it was a sega genesis game, could it have been Landstalker? I can't think of any SNES games other than already mentioned.
  18. Woo, finally get to hear the winning entry. Overall, awesome work Rayza! Excellent use of synths and great edits! And not to mention... catchy!
  19. This may be late, but Happy Birthday bLiNd! You have some of the coolest mixes I've heard. May your contributions to this site and music in general be rewarded with the best cake known to man!
  20. Seriously, this is fantastic. I really expected yours to win, too! Ah well. Everything about it is awesome, from the arrangement, guitar playing, strings, etc. No complaints from me
  21. Whoops, silly me. Future note to me: Don't read so quickly.
  22. Okay, an idea hit me this morning, and I can say that my entry is currently in WIP status! :]
  23. Congrats, you guys! I can't wait to hear your entries! (But man, this is also a bit of a surprise.)
