  1. Like G4 would interrupt their reruns of Cops and Cheaters to show actual video game related content. :-/
  2. *thumbs up* As long as it's still getting worked on, it's all good.
  3. James Rolfe is fantastic, it was a pleasure to meet him and get DVDs signed at Magfest last year. He's been able to keep the AVGN series fresh and entertaining after so many years, and when you think he can't do anything new, he does something like an episode on video game glitches or really obscure shit like Plumbers Don't Wear Ties. I also enjoy his movie reviews and his top 10 lists, and even is random stuff like visiting a movie location or shit like that. I watch a ton of internet webshows and reviewers (even more than I watch regular TV), and AVGN is still one of the best out there. The Irate Gamer can suck my dick.
  4. I'll be there for the 3rd year in a row. Had a small emergency when I got moved to third shift, but it's all good.
  5. I don't know what the hell this game is or how it's played. But I want it. Badly.
  6. Unless you hit ? monitors or run to lose the weight. It's probably still possible, but it would be hard as hell to do.
  7. 7/13/10: Some small updates: Rexy's track is finished, and Stevo aka Level 99 has contributed some live guitar to Protricity's track! Congratulations to Level 99 on joining his 75th OCR remix project! Nice Work Stevo!
  8. Back when I was in high school, I was sitting in class one day when this tune popped into my head. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out what it was, all I knew was that it was from some video game. Turns out the tune was , a game I hadn't played or heard music from since elementary school (my cousin who lived in upstate NY before I moved to PA had it). It's like it was just laying dormant in my head for years before suddenly jumping out. Also, Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2. Especially 2, I can remember just sitting there on the sound test trying to figure out just what in the hell track 10 was (it ended up being the unused Hidden Palace Zone music).
  9. So I played a little bit of single player tonight...and I couldn't get past the Metal Man stage. Maybe it's because I'm terrible at FPS games, but I kept getting my ass handed to me time and again. It seemed like as soon as the AI saw me, I was dead. A couple rounds of the game telling me I suck later, and I gave up. Other than that, though, the demo was pretty fun. The weapons are nice, I liked the two maps I saw, and the little quips that the computer players made were funny. I give a thumbs up, can't wait for the full release.
  10. Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the preview track! I do admit that there's been a little bit of a slowdown again, but the people who are still in the WIP phase are SO close to finishing their tracks. I believe that the next big update Kyle and I will have to share with you all with be a wave (bad pun) of finished .wavs being turned in. You guys have been so patient, and I wanna make it up by having the album finished this year. I've been saying it since Magfest, and it's still a feasible goal.
  11. Back then it was a big deal, though.
  12. It's the year 20XX, energy tanks aren't gonna put my kids through college!
  13. "That guy can suck it." I feel like I'm watching you slowly degenerate into madness and frustration, haha. Good luck getting through!
  14. That's a nice selection of music. Seriously, Benny and the Jets? I'm straying away from OCR for a moment for my next track: Epoch by Mega Ran and K-Murdock from Forever Famicom!
  15. I was recommended a program called mp3gain. Just load your mp3 into it, and it'll tell you what decibel level it's at. Custom Brawl tracks generally need to be between 94-95 decibels, so add or subtract what you need to get your songs in line. This does mean that you'll have to remake the BRSTMs, though. With a soundtrack as massive as Brawl's, there's a ton of tracks that are great, but a ton of tracks that aren't good, either. (I'm a Sonic fan. Open Your Heart and His World Instrumental = WIN. Sonic Heroes and Right There, Ride On = Not WIN.) Plus, I think being able to replace/change aspects of Brawl make for a more personalized game experience.
  16. I haven't played Brawl Minus, but I understand that it balances the game by making every character overpowered and broken. That sounds like fun. But yeah, post that stuff in here!
  17. Got another one up: Murder Your Friends Boogie from No Balls No Glory!
  18. In my defense, my first idea for my response was "JAWSOME!"
  19. Happy 19th Anniversary Sonic the Hedgehog! To celebrate, here's an oldie but a goodie: Green Hill Zone (Euroclub '95 Mix) by Rayza! This version has the ending removed so it cleanly loops back into the beginning of the track.
  20. Holy mid 90's TMNT ripoff, Overcoat!
  21. This is not at all what I was expecting, and that's a very good thing. I'm a HUGE fan of the original Genesis game, and this is a real interesting twist on the soundtrack. I really like the story and the idea of a person using the world of Sonic as an escape. Also, you cover sonik special, one of my favorite analoq mixes ever. Nice work!
  22. You're right, Jack. Nintendo learned how to cover their asses after the Galoob lawsuit, and just like any kind of hacking on any modern console, it's very illegal. I don't really wanna go on about corporate rights or legal and moral implications of hacking here, but that discussion is always open. I stand corrected. I don't really follow the competitive scene, though. I'm not too sure about Brawl's "tier lists" or any of that, although I do use one of the four major "balancing" patches in my game (Balanced Brawl, fyi). It's turning me on to some other characters I never used much like Dedede and Lucas. Plus, NO MORE RANDOM TRIPPING OUT OF A DASH OMGWTFBBQ! And I'm sorry that you made this thread before and it got ignored. I know I've made my fair share of threads/posts that got buried, too. Ah, well.
