  1. I'd have to agree with what the general consensus says: it's pretty good for a low-budget fan film. Some of the CG was pretty hokey and I agree that the fight scenes were awful, but I found myself pretty entertained for the length of the movie. And seriously, they found the perfect guy to play Dr. Wily. He was a stereotypical villain, but at the same time very believable.
  2. Super Dodge Ball. ...though I may be a tad biased...
  3. I loved that The OneUps had African Mines on their Volume 2 album. I think it was mostly to prove that Ducktales DOES have more music other than the moon theme.
  4. I'm gonna go against the flow too and say Ducktales. Seriously, pressing down after jumping and holding right to do the pogo attack? I can't see you doing that with ease on a pad at all. Go for it. Edit: How would you play Ducktales if it's not on VC? An emulator through the HBC?
  5. Ok, this one is obscure. VERY obscure. So obscure that I can only find a SINGLE YouTube video that talks about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8o2VgiSdIY But I own this game and played it a bunch in my childhood, it's a really interesting action/puzzle game that plays exactly like the equally obscure NES game Fun House. There's only three or so songs in the game, but they are amazing tunes. Anybody interested?
  6. The music video's great, the crew who filmed/edited it did a fantastic job. Although I was waiting the entire time for one of you guys to throw a banana peel.
  7. Oh, my mistake, then. It's been so long since I saw the first trailer, I thought he was reacting to the new one. In which case, I retract what I said earlier, there's much better film music to crib from than Transformers. Totally. A good plot and characters always beats special effects. I actually skipped seeing Hero of Time because of all the negative things being said about it, mostly from this forum. I know that totally goes against what I said earlier about "even if it's bad, at least I'm not paying for it", but ah well. I seem to remember something about the filmmakers of that posting here acting like it was the greatest film ever produced, but I may be wrong.
  8. Hold up, since when does "orchestral Dr. Wily theme" equals "Bay Transformers soundtrack"? By that reasoning, most orchestra remixes on this website could be "raeping" the originals. I wouldn't go that far, people were saying good things when it got test screened at MAGFest. I'm holding on to hope here, most video game fan videos I've seen I thought were really good (MGS Philanthropy, There Will Be Brawl, etc. And hey, even if it does suck, at least we don't have to pay anything to see it.
  9. "Spittin' Narcissism" from Blood On The Asphalt
  10. I've gotta admit, I'll probably pick up the Sonic the Hedgehog issue. Last year's free comic was a recap/"clip show" of the series up to that point, but this year has an original story. Tick #1 reprint looks really good, too.
  11. Nario, I make videos too, and I've gotten my share of negative comments. But don't let that get to you, focus on the positive. People have their right to say they don't like your videos, and that's okay. It's impossible to please everybody. I've tried, believe me. That being said, you came up with an interesting concept here to play VC games with a DDR pad. Good job beating a balls-tough NES game that I can't even finish with a regular controller. You need a title with for these videos, like, I dunno... "Let's Play...WITH A DANCE PAD!"
  12. Somehow the first video challenge came and went without me being aware of it. That being said, I just finished watching LAOS's entry, and I am amazed at how well shot/sweet/sad it was. You and everyone involved should be very proud. Is there any place where all the other vids are collected? The link in the post leads to the blooper video. I would love very much to be a part of this competition. I do a bunch of work involving video filming/editing, and I think this would be a fun way to improve on my skills. I've already had a gut-reaction to what ReMix I'll be using, but I'll give it a few weeks of thought just to be sure.
  13. Well, there's always PAX Prime in Seattle, but I can't think of anything past that.
  14. I think The Coop is a pretty cool guy. eh is a Renaissance man on the OCR forums and doesn't afraid of anything. Happy birthday!
  15. Yep, I like the little references to other songs that you made in this version. I've also gotten word that Protricity should be finished with his track today. Other people who Kyle or I haven't heard from yet, get in here!
  16. I think Garian is a pretty cool guy. eh helps me overcome my shyness and introduces me to people at MAGfest and doesn't afraid of anything. Happy birthday!
  17. Alright, that's the Pirates I know. Another year, another losing season. I'll be seeing them at PNC Park next month on Mother's Day.
  18. In other sorta-related news, those of you who are YouTube inclined should head over to OCR's channel and check Willrock's new remix from Super Mario Land 2! Great coverage from an underrated soundtrack (just like some other video game I know...)
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkpJsMyYveg /thread. (but hopefully not, I love this stuff.)
  20. So the Pirates beat the Dodgers 11-6. With three home runs. And they struck out Ramirez. 4th largest crowd at PNC Park ever, 4th straight Opening Day victory. On the other hand, the Bucs haven't had a winning season since I was a child. Hey, it's still too early to tell. They've had some major lineup changes in the off-season, maybe something good will happen this year.
