Juan's so modest: He didn't mention that he turned this one around in less than 3 days, almost as fast as he got me the Fighting of the Spirit remix. This guy's crazy! This track was actually pretty much an entirely unplanned, last minute deal (it was the very last song finished for the project, in fact. It was also the last one started for it too, hehe). Nutritious and Joker had been frequenting the forums and knew about the plan for bonus tracks, so they had already cranked their two remixes out. The project was done after that and we had planned releasing with just those two, but Juan randomly came to me on IRC and asked if we needed more tracks, so I tossed him a few of the original DotNW songs for ideas. He picked up on this one real quick, and the rest as they say, is history.

Doesn't every JRPG EVER have boring sidequest after boring sidequest? It's practically a requirement of the genre. DQ8 is hardly the worst offender.

I enjoyed it. Good playing, decent production. But if you want onto OCR, these songs probably aren't gonna do it. Hate to break it to ya man, but the site probably wouldn't accept most of these. Straight covers usually have a rough time on the panel. Still, it's a good album for what it is.

For those interested, a new version of this track just went up on GSO's site, recorded from the live show they had a few weeks ago. In the case of tracks that weren't arranged on the orchestral album, the standard OST track is used, like for example "Boogie-Woogie In the Bar".

Wow, I actually didn't realize it until now, but you're right. The OST versions of these tracks aren't the same as the ones used in-game. They are definitely not using a real orchestra on the OST album, but the game definitely has a number of tracks that are performed by a live orchestra. However, there is this, which is what you're looking for. Not sure why they didn't include the live recorded versions on the OST, but you know how Square is.
