  1. So do I. In fact I still go back and play the game from time to time with the UnMod cars.
  2. Are you sure you listened to the right album? Your complaint of it being too homogeneous doesn't make a whole lot of sense, seeing as how we pretty much ran the gamut of styles: Orchestral, rock, new age, trance, industrial, piano solos, even disco and funk. I suppose there is a lot of rock, and maybe that's not your thing, but it is interspersed among many other types of music. You can have your opinion of the album, that's fine; I'm just confused about your "homogeneous" criticism, because honestly I don't see it, and I think you are actually the first person to point it out. I think homogeneous would apply more to an album like Chrono Symphonic, or Relics of the Chozo, as both were designed that way.
  3. Some of you REALLY old fogies might remember this: I recently actually dug up just about everything from the first AND second time I ran the UnMod SCRS (second time was at .org). Strangely enough though I can't find the pics of the race from Indianapolis, and I distinctly remember an Indy race... EDIT: Aha! Here's the Indy race.
  4. Tales Union interviewed us recently, and the interview was published today: http://www.talesunion.com/news/websites/ocremix/tales-union-speaks-with-co-producers-of-summoning-of-spirits
  5. Where did you get that information? Because now you have to be killed.

  6. Understandable. So long as people let us know of their pre-existing obligations, we can work with them on it. By the way, happy birthday Walan!
  7. Audacity also works nicely, and it's free.
  8. Alright, since things are moving forward and progression in happening nicely with this project, Walan and I have decided to set up a WIP due date. This date will be: April 18th, 2009 If you have not given a WIP to myself or Walan already, or if it has been an extended amount of time since your last one, I will be contacting you. If you are looking feedback on your work, you can register at http://kngi.org/forum/, and I will grant you access to the private ATW sections where other musicians and the directors from the project can offer critique and advice.
  9. For someone who never actually talked to the project directors, you sure knew what was up!
  10. http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/jan08/14tie-strefig-BuckyOHare-Righteous-DoD.mp3 Also, not Green Planet, but: http://dod.redheadedblacksheep.net/past/mag7/02-BrianDavis-BuckyOHare-Croak-DoD.mp3 http://kngi.org/miscstuff/BrainCells_-_Let_the_Wind_Flow(Ninja_Gaiden_II).mp3 No Overdrive here, but this album is classic anyway and you should have it: http://kngi.org/miscstuff/Chromolodeon%20-%20Dark%20Sword%20Of%20Chaos/
  11. Only one year? Pssh. You ain't a real remix project unless you take at least 3.
  12. It's pretty broken from a lack of updates but http://userstyles.org/styles/1021 and http://userstyles.org/styles/3994 will get you a decent facsimile of the old blue style for OCR.
  13. Haha, you guys think the Tales project thread was a flame war? It would seem most of you missed the arguments from some the older projects. Both this and Tales have had nowhere near the level of drama of, say, S3&K in the stages before SnappleMan stepped up, or Chrono Symphonic (both the regular and its "Special Edition" threads). In fact, I'm pretty proud of the lack of drama with SoS. I think there's some misconception about the prerelease antics for that one. Sure, Snapple was being a dick, but that's just how he always is. Anyway, carry on.
  14. I thought that had been the policy since at least sometime in 2005.
  15. Wow. I think a melody can be melded into any form that a musician envisions. Saying that something cannot or should not be done in a particular style is not only insulting, it's incredibly shortsighted and shows a distinct lack of understanding of how remixing, and even music in general, works. If you don't like the vocals in a track that's one thing, but to insult the artist behind the track and lump all lyrical remixers together under one ridiculous presumption is another. Not really all-inclusive, but here's a list thread someone started awhile back: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10327
  16. Personally I think that would ruin the remixer's original vision and idea of the track. That's just me, though.
  17. Haha, I love this song. "Where the cars look fly and they got good suspension!"
  18. Where did I ever say "release" date? I'm just wondering why it still says Feb. 15th.
  19. So, the Feb. 15th due date in the topic title must've been for Feb. 15th, 2010, right?
