  1. GASP, sneaking inferior game series' references into our project? THIS WILL NOT STAND! YOU'RE FIRED!
  2. This thread failed pretty epically, I see.
  3. Great music by vertexguy on those titles as well.
  4. Hmmm, where do I stick the code? Doesn't seem to want to work wherever I paste it in either the original Stylish file or the 07/2008 fix.
  5. Well, the main problem has been that they can't find any web developers who want to take up the project for free, so from what I understand there has been no actual development on VGMix in a long time. After so long, honestly, I think Virt and Co. just don't give a shit anymore. Virt's too busy with his career and the others have probably mostly moved on, too. I don't foresee VGMix coming back anytime soon.
  6. While the original is actually pretty popular to rock out amongst the doujin community, it's great to see another take of it here on OCR. My favorite part of the original has always been the bassline, and you did it sweet justice here, especially at 3:15. Very energetic, which I appreciate most in rock remixes, and the integration of Schala at 1:05 and again at the end was a nice touch and actually fits well (as cliched as that particular theme is in this community). Unfortunately, the drums are a tad weak, but not enough to bring the overall track down. Nice work Neko.
  7. I can provide this album for download, if it would be allowed.
  8. Happy birthday d00d.

  9. Hey dudes, check it out: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/tags.php
  10. Let me go through my collection and see here... Not recommended: -Mega Man X7: Not worth it. It's not good at all. -SEGA Classics Collection: SEGA arcade classics, remade with new graphics and sound. Not really worthwhile except for the Virtua Racing remake (which is the only one that improves the original); all the rest are pretty forgettable. -SEGA Genesis Collection: All of the games are available elsewhere or via emulation, so I can't really say to get this. -Mega Man Anniversary Collection: Same as above. Recommended if you like the genre/series: -Mega Man X Collection: Another collection that could be emulated, but it does include Mega Man Battle & Chase. -Mega Man X8: Not a bad return to form for the X series, this is worth picking up if you're a fan. -Midway Arcade Treasures 3: I'm a big racing fan, so I personally love this collection (which includes San Francisco Rush: The Rock, Hydro Thunder, Rush 2049, Super Offroad, and Race Drivin', among other less notables). If you like arcade racers it might be worth tracking this down, if only for the Rush games and Hydro Thunder. -Gran Turismo 4: As I said before, I'm a big fan of racing games, so I love the GT series. It's a pretty unforgiving simulation though, so it isn't something I would recommend unless you're a hardcore car guy or racing fan. -Gran Turismo 3: Same thing. -Tourist Trophy: Even more of a hardcore simulation than GT. In fact, they're practically the same game (by the same developers), just remove the cars and replace them with motorcycles. The controls are ridiculously unforgiving and 99% of the tracks are recycled from GT4. Recommended: Dragon Quest VIII: I watched Mae play through this game, and while I'd personally never play it because I loathe turn-based battle systems, the characters were great and the story was superb. Since you're an RPG fan I would highly suggest picking this up. -Burnout 3 Takedown: HOLY CRAP awesome, ridiculous, over the top arcade racing carnage. I hear Burnout Revenge is better, but 3 is by no means not worth picking up. You'll have a blast. Flatout 2: In much the same vein as Burnout, although not quite as good. I'd still suggest grabbing this one if you like Burnout, though. Ejecting drivers through their windshields never gets old. X-Men Legends 2: Great Action RPG. Highly recommended, even if you're not really a fan of X-Men, the storyline and voice acting are great, and gameplay is quite fun. -Gitaroo Man: Get this. You have no excuse. -Parappa the Rapper 2: No excuse for not owning this, either. Brilliant game.
  11. Thought so, but I wasn't sure. The main cover art is badass.
  12. Hey dudes, check this out. http://www.ocremix.org/forums/tags.php?tag=vocal Hardly a complete list, but I've started tagging quite a few tracks already.
  13. DCT has taken Team Kenya. All tracks have officially claimed! On another note, the guys at 8-Bit Instrumental are looking for MIDIs of the Ending and Credits themes. Both me and them have searched all over and can't seem to dig up any, so is there anyone out there who might be willing to transcribe these tracks to MIDI? I went the NSF2MIDI route, but obviously those sound pretty awful, so something better would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  14. Definitely wouldn't mind a Pilotwings revival. The Birdman theme is one of my top favorite game soundtrack moments of all time. Such a relaxing tune.
  15. This is a short but fun bluesy little number that plays in the taverns in Dragon Quest VIII and the casino area in the SNES remake of Dragon Quest III (might be in other games too, but I haven't played them enough to know for sure). I think it would make a great remix, perhaps as a jazz or rock improv piece, or even something else entirely. Take a listen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHUWxuy4t2Y
