  1. Brandon's absolutely right. High post count is the only way I was able to gain any notability (which admittedly isn't much), so just post moar.
  2. I can't tell if you just want to be your usual argumentative self or if you're seriously debating that Classic and X have no difference in tone (which is patently and provably false,) but look at the presentation differences between Classic and X. Yes, Wily does a lot of evil shit, and yes, Light sending his "son" out to do battle is something we can discuss the deep ramifications of all day, but in the end Classic is still pretty lighthearted and idealistic, and doesn't really take the time to explore the consequences of its own storyline very often (if at all.) MMX on the other is very deeply rooted in cynicism, and takes itself far more seriously than Classic ever did.
  3. Sure, I guess the main villains wanting nothing more than to completely eradicate humanity, military coups, the prominent role of death in the series, as well as exploring the political and social ramifications of robots that are essentially human, and dropping an entire fucking space colony on Earth and essentially causing the Apocalypse (which only got semi-retconned because Capcom wanted more MMX games because they wanted more money) doesn't make a series dark at all.
  4. I remember when we all freaked about djp actually having a sig.
  5. The good thing is, Escape from the City is a better song than Ice Cap, so it works out for me.
  6. EIGHT HOURS? This might be the single largest fan-made collaboration album ever released. Absolutely massive. I've sampled a few tracks here and there and am enjoying what I hear. Not every track is a hit, but there's enough here to satisfy your Sonic remix needs! Surprising that there's only one Ice Cap remix...
  7. I get this is supposed to be a gritty reboot, but this really feels less like Mega Man and more like Generic Grey Shooter #42863. Don't think we really need any more of those, so maybe it's a good thing Capcom dropped this one.
  8. Yeah, definitely spring for a new processor. The Athlon II isn't bad by any means, but it's a mainstream mid-range product, so it doesn't have the same performance as something made for the enthusiast market. A Phenom II AM3 like this one should work with your current motherboard and give you the performance punch you need, and the prices on them are pretty good right now. Just double-check that your motherboard supports Phenom processors and that your current power supply can handle the extra wattage of the CPU and you should be good to go.
  9. Another finished track, and holy crap, it's the SIXTO/WILLROCK collab! Pretty sure you should be hyped about it, because it's gonna melt your face and shred your mind.
  10. Re-Shell Shocked WAS a joke, but if anyone wants to do a remix of a track from TMNT Re-Shelled (the soundtrack really is pretty damn dull, though) I'm willing to throw it in as a bonus track. However, they will have to meet the same quality bar as the rest of the album, and I'm not going to delay anything for them to get done.
  11. I thought Tuberz was only really doing 2 songs, one of which is a round robin solo collab... he did guitar parts for Chernabogue and Eino, but he didn't arrange those.
  12. April O'Neil ain't no Fool, and neither are evktalo and Tuberz, who have finished their track! Only 9 more to go. Hooray!
  13. I want to share something very special with you all: my remix for this project! I don't frequently get to contribute musically to a project due to my previous inability to do so, but I am taking the opportunity to FINALLY contribute to my own album! This is a WIP, so any and all criticism and comments are appreciated. I don't think you'll find anything to critique, though: I feel really confident that this song is already pretty amazing, even in its unfinished state. Check it out! http://kngi.org/shellshocked/KyleJCrb_-_Stomp_Those_Turtles.mp3
  14. I think my favorite track so far is Silly Breadmanias. That guy has some of the best killer studio chops I've ever heard in the game remix community. Definitely not one to be missed!
  15. Today is a proud day in the history of this project. Originally, Shell Shocked was intended to arrange the music featured in Turtles in Time, released for the arcade and the SNES, as well as Hyperstone Heist for the SEGA Genesis. However, in our continuing efforts to ensure the high quality of this release, we have decided that for this project to be of the absolute highest caliber of an OverClocked ReMix release, it was decided that we must switch our focus. In 2009, Ubisoft Singapore developed and published Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. In honor of this outstandingly well-received game and , I am proud to announce that Shell Shocked will become Re-Shell Shocked. I am very pleased that we will be moving away from the outdated and, frankly, very lackluster compositions the game originally featured. Re-Shelled has an incredible soundtrack that deserves to be honored more than any other soundtrack in previous Turtles games. What does this mean for the songs from the old Shell Shocked project? They will no longer be a part of this project, and I ask that remixers do NOT release them. This change will go into effect immediately. A brand new roster of remixers has been recruited and production starts now. I am very excited to get the brand new version of this project rolling and pay proper tribute to the Re-Shelled version of Turtles in Time! Please look forward to it!
  16. That's Slash, the boss from Prehistoric Turtlesaurus.
  17. What's that? You like the badass Nate Horsfall art that's in my signature and will be gracing the covers of this album? Then you'd better click here and grab a 1080p version of the teaser wallpaper!
  18. There's exactly one remix of it that I'm aware of: http://www.dwellingofduels.net/dodarchive/06-08-Free_Month/18-DZX-Metal%20Combat%20Falcon's%20Revenge-The%20Fallen%20Warriors-DoD.mp3 There's also one for Battle Clash here (search for "Battle Clash", obviously): http://vgmixarchive.com/
  19. Another finished track? In THIS project? It's more likely than you think!
