OMG TRI-RI-RI-RIPLE POST!
Cross-posted from the project forums:
Whoooooa! SoS made it to the radio! Seriously! For those of you who frequent OCR, you might be familiar with VGDJ, the official OCR Podcast (you can learn more about Podcasting at their site). In the latest incarnation of the show (which would be #010 =P), our very own Kureejii Lea gets on Arcanas case regarding his remix live on the air, and also provides some insight on the status of the project. It's nothing we don't already know, but it's great to hear nonetheless. Special thanks to Rayza and Aurora for mentioning us several times (check shows #008 and #003 for other mentions), and to Lea and Arcana for saying horrible, mean, and nasty (yet true!) things about the project live on the air. Check it out!

OGNOES CRONO SYMFONIC?!
MOER LIEK TALES METAL!!!!111oneone
That reminds me: Rayza, we should try the Skype interview thing again. I'm thinking it would work better if it were a 3-way call (you, me, and Aurora), because I'm pretty sure the dropped calls are a bandwidth issue, and spreading out the bandwidth tends to make it work better. It's worth a try, anyway.

Arcana's pics have captions.

And also remember that "Dark Side" is two words.

UPDATE
One week away from the due date! I'm expecting a WIP from most of you, since I've been trying to keep in contact with you guys, so don't disappoint me!
-
I just want to urge all of the project remixers who are currently not registered and regularly checking the project forums to please do so. There are a few important announcements and some discussion there that you're missing out on. It's not absolutely imperative, but it is strongly recommended that you take a look and register so you can participate in the discussion of the project.
-
Soraya, out of curiousity, are you playing guitar for your own tracks?
-
My goal is to get a WIP from everyone (who's not exempt right now), and we're only 12 songs away from that goal. Keep sending me those WIPs, folks!
-
More like The PWN3Dless.
-
Lots of awesome WIPs to show up in the last few days, guys! Very impressive work over in the WIP forums. Keep it up!
-
Actually, yes. Thanks for reminding me. I'll add you tomorrow, and you can get me the information as soon as you have the time.

UPDATE
We are now two weeks from the first WIP deadline of the Summoning of Spirits project. The level of work thus far has been amazing, and most of the remixers seem extremely focused on getting this project completed. At this point, there are 20 mixers that haven't submitted a WIP yet, which is about half of those involved with the project (there are 40 songs, and 36 remixers). That is extremely good progress, so keep up the great work, guys!
For this date, I'm still expecting 15 remixers to send me WIPs (check the "Post-Planning Stage" list on the status post to see if you're there). You may have noticed a few that are exempt from the date, due to things that are beyond anyones control, and some that are currently in "Pending" status. If you're one of the 15 that I'm expecting a mix from, but don't feel that you'll be able to get something in by the date, feel free to contact me; I'm open to discussion and negotiations that can work to our benefit. If you haven't started yet, PLEASE DO SO! If I come to you and you say that you have absolutely nothing for the song, then you may possibly be removed. At this point, ANY WIP IS FINE! Just send me SOMETHING!
Also, if it's been awhile since I've heard from you, please try to contact me (if I don't contact you first) and let me know what your progress is, whether you've submitted a WIP or not. Some people I need to hear from:
CC Ricers
Ichitootah
Master Link
On a side note, I may be conducting a chatroom meeting for coordinators and remixers to participate in sometime after the due date, but that's just an idea for now.
Other than that, I don't have much else. Keep sending me those WIPs, folks! Show me what you have!
-
By the way, has anyone heard from housethegrate already? I'm really really really looking forward to his song, but the progress list doesn't give me much hope. I mean, he HAS the most rock-classed song from the game (probably the best song)... Please give me some good faith
I've been talking to house, so don't worry about him; I know he'll get the track completed. He has a few other songs for other projects that he's gotta work on, too. Plus he just moved recently. But he'll be in.
-
Hey, you stole my due date!
Seriously, I'm looking forward to this. Keep up the great work, guys!
-
Is it ok to post wips on here?
(Just want to make sure before I post one)
According to the first post, WIPs can't be shared publicly (that includes here). Try messaging one of the coordinators and have them look at it.
-
Isn't it Mike Lazowsky?
-
I'll say this one more time.
My name is "Daniel Baranowsky".
Time to make use of those reeeeeeeeeally small font sizes for CD artwork...
-
Attention project musicians!
There are a few folks over at the WIP forums that are in need of help and advice. Please try to help them out as best as you can!
-
I think you guys should take off my ability to check out WIP's now that I am not involved in this, that is if you haven't already. I just don't feel right being able to view them even if I basically cut myself from doing any music.
Already done, Arek. Don't worry about it; I think Christian has Beat The Angel well-covered. Maybe someone will want to pick up Walking on Tethe'alla as an alternate track?
-
The site had official soundtracks available for download alongside the other ones, so I'd say that any link to the site would be a bad idea.
-
Do a Metal Slug cover, Snapple.
Maybe sometime after this Sonic thing, and after the tales thing...
Level 2 from Metal Slug 2 would be good.

you have mod powers here. edit their posts writing [link removed] where needed if you think they're breaking forums' rules.Uh, you guys are aware that posting links to downloads of commercially available soundtracks is prohibited by OCR forum rules, right?DarkeSword specifically instructed me not to mod any threads here besides my own, so I'm sticking to that.

Don't worry, Arek; I only had a handful of WIPs with a month left, too. I guarantee that (especially if you keep after your remixers about it) you'll get the majority of them within the last two weeks before the due date.
