All I can really say is "wow" maybe have a lil' play with the drums' reveb? and make the bass a bit deeper? Other then that this is fantastic. I'd be dissapointed of this site if this wasnt picked up and noticed by the judges. Oh! And maybe add some of the "dulcimery" sounding things from the winder waker forest version of the simular song. cant remember what its called. and maybe a few more pipes n such?

something about the guitars doesnt sound right, I think ya might wanna tweak the EQ on it, and maybe play with the velocity, but I agree with your statement that It's alot better. Maybe you should speak to someone about helping you out with the guitar, as in live recording. I could imagin this would be amazing for some improv, which would solve that number 1 issue on yer list of "to-do"s. Just look through the member list and ask around, end of the day the real thing will sound better then any synth. Speaking of synth, maybe do something with the bleeps in the begining, like tinker with the panning, have it fade out into one side with an echo, see how it sounds, might work.

I posted this remix in the past but that was in the understanding that it was going to be a all round Mario Medly, Now the song is purely focused on the Super Mario RPG Soundtrack and will remain that way untill it is finished- I hope no one minds this but I wanted to make it clear that this is now a single game focused song Now for the Remix - I spent ALOT of time working on the reverb so I'm hoping this shows. Also the velocity, but this I'm sure still needs work! I'm not sure if the bass should be an octave higher as well? PLEASE! I want HARD Critique, be honest, Yes I'm new to remixing with major software but I NEED to learn:tomatoface: Also suggestions for what melodies to add to it are MORE then welcome. haha yea gotta agree with the below comments, sorry :S wuld be alot better if the timing was alot better, but syill off in places here n there. it has promiss, but I would also work on the songs transitions, it sounds too much like a song starts and stop then continues. Love the bass in the 3rd song, I might have to fire up the Wii and give this game a play

Never played the game either, or heard this before, though I like what I'm hearing so far, something though seems a lil off with the strings in the begining. I'd suggest a nice soft pad in the background. I also thing it needs some nice echo-ing flutes/oboes in there too, I was almost expecting them to come into play but I'd didnt happen. I generally find that if you are expecting something, it would usually fit in well. As I always say, these are just my opinions and I dont know much about mixing other then, I just go by, what simply sounds good A source would be nice btw

Basically, what do you know about it? I've done a lil' research but I can't find anything that helpful, how does it compare to reason 4? And add anything else you might know. Worth the cash? I have a bit saved up, need to burn it!

Well, here it is. I didn't get much feeback on it when it was in it's WIP days, and to be honest I don't expect much but I figure it's not too bad and some of you out there might fancy listening to it. I had Several PM's on my youtube channel asking for a download so guess I thought I'd pop it on here too. Not really after critique now. If ya' like it listen, if you don't then don't Hope to get some feedback on my future WIP's.

Ah, this is awsome! You arranged it so well! The bass is smexy! Sad thing is, I was planning to do a mix simular to this with the same song but with a guitar :S I think I'll have to choose something else now cause this mix is so intimidating haha. My only suggestion is, change the lead, it goes right through me. But as I always say, I'm not a massive synth fan so thats just me. the piano could be a little brighter as well. Oh and make the second half longer. That melody needs more attention! One of my faves!

In all honesty, I wasn't very impressed, at first I thought it might be going somewhere but then it became clear it was just a instrument swap with a very repetitious drum beat. I'd suggest going back to the sorce and tinkering with it some more. Also a minute and a half isn't great, try to make it longer. If you ever want to try to submit this to the judges you need at least 2 minutes of music. Good luck and keep us updated Edit: Oh, and welcome to the site! UPDATE Well, here's what I have now. Changed several things added some new bits too. Mostly Played with the velocity, might have over done it though I'm not sure? I wasn't really sure what needed to be changed, being new and not getting any feedback on the last WIP Getting the feeling no one is very interested in this remix? Lol Hell, if your not a fan and don't think it's worth my time completing this please by all means say so. Bad feedback is better then none at all. I have gotten to the point where I'm at a cross roads. Finish it, see if I can find a guitarist to play the lead and submit it, or just give up?

oh sounds great! Pity there were a few off key moments, but I really really enjoyed listening to this I have a feeling I'll be listening to it more then this once

I'm sorry I'm just not a major fan of this remix, I listened to it 2 times, and thought long and hard and just for me, the intro was, just, boring, no build up, nothing really new to the melody apart from like one split second in the temple of time where a few extra keys jumped in. There might have been more I missed, but if so they were too subtle for me. The arpy synth, just didnt work, and it got old fast, everthing just felt like a merry-go-round of synthy goodness, which isn't too good for me. This is all just me, and my opinion. I'm sure there will be plently who will love it, but when it comes to synth I'm hard to impress. I'm looking forward to an update! And I'll keep my eyes open for future posts from you! Oh! But I do like how you have layed out the melodies, I'd suggest adding a few other short ones in there too just to keep it interesting!

Not sure if its a clarinet but the instrument that plays in the begining just sounds, kinda 2d? If that makes sense, which I'm sure it doesnt to anyone who isnt me lol I really like the pizz strings though, they fit in well. Overall i think some of the instruments could be a little more wet, but thats just me, I'm a newbie to remixing/remastering. So it's probs not worth listening to me haha Oh, a nice strong oboe part would be awsome,I'm kinda a oboe whore. Love it. Also, try playing around with the melody a lil' bit more? It's very very true to the source which is awsome, cause there's a reason you chose this song to play with, but mixing it up a bit could add something extra special to this. Well done, and look forward to hearing what comes out next
