  1. this should be the case otherwise it is really frustrating but it should be close
  2. valve hates engis :c hopefully the sticky upgrade will be a gun that, when it shoots, automatically attaches stickies to the opponent's spawn door
  3. and man italian food is so good. i could eat italian food every day of my life.
  4. olive garden is ok in some areas, but absolutely awful in some. i unfortunately live in a place with bad ones. it doesn't really matter though. there are plenty of good italian restaurants around in just about any area. americanized italian food is probably more like real italian food than any other americanized foreign food.
  5. yes but laugh friendly not laugh malicious we are all friends except for edge we are more like brothers
  6. i do this dominate every spy anyway just judging from tonight you guys seem to just sit around making fun of people like atmuh in-game and that is not very nice and you guys should not be brewing hatred like this and edgecrusher is just a mean, mean person and i don't know why be nice to people even if you don't agree with them and even if you do not know them
  7. I'm a troll only in the sense that I don't typically take my posts terribly seriously. Your recent posts in this thread have had nothing to do with the topic and have existed only to insult another forum member (without even addressing his point). It does not matter how much or how little atmuh is respected in the community. You are directly and maliciously trolling. I believe atmuh's complaint is a reasonable one that deserves serious discussion rather than dismissing it because "no one cares!" I can understand why someone would want better record-keeping (although I personally am not one of these people). If the majority does not care one way or the other, however, then why not implement it for the sake of those who do care? I don't think the server admins are denying the request necessarily because of who made it (although that probably had quite an impact on the general community's response), but because of how it was presented. It is simply not an important issue to them. Given that the moderators and admins in the OCR community have always generally acted autonomously, you would be better off attempting to convince one directly and in private conversation of the benefits of your idea. As has been pointed out, the tone in this thread has gotten quite belligerent. What's up, guys? Even if you can't be friends with everyone (like I am), discussion will go more smoothly try to treat your fellow posters with civility and respect (whether you think they deserve it or not).
  8. does it make you sad when people ignore your blatant trolling? I recommend mIRC (http://www.mirc.com). All of the OCR channels are on EnterTheGame, the main one being #ocremix and the one for this game being #ocrtf2. The program is pretty user-friendly, but if you are having trouble, just type /server irc.enterthegame.com and then once it connects, type /join #ocrtf2 and, if you want, /join #ocremix. Oh yeah, and you can set your nickname under options or use /nick [Nickname You Want] to change it.
  9. blue rhymes with two, so it seems pretty obvious also red rhymes with head and bed and lead (but only the noun)
  10. People should always be treated with respect. You should not place a final judgment on someone based entirely on a first impression, no matter how bad that impression is. Well, it's not, but it is certainly just as bad. Also, I agree wholeheartedly with what DS said.
  11. I think most of us are tired of the "ther r no girls on the internetlol!!!" and "get back in the kitchn!!!!!!!" bullshit, of which these comments (although cruder) are in the same vein. I think that most of us have gone through immature periods of our lives (or even isolated incidents of immaturity) where we have made similar insensitive jokes. This is, unfortunately, exacerbated by the fact that this type of behavior is the status quo of many of the largest Internet communities. Although OCR is its own entity, we do not exist in a vacuum. People expect others on the Internet to behave a certain way (and receive comments a certain way as well). As D-Lux said, rather than banning them immediately, a warning should suffice for weeding out those who are willing to be civil and those who are not. bonzai!, what was said to you was crass, offensive, and stupid, regardless of whether or not it was intended as any of these things. That said, I don't know that I would have interjected on your behalf (though I certainly wouldn't have spoken against you). For one, I do not frequently talk when I play TF2. Secondly, I try not to get involved in the arguments that do not involve me, especially on the Internet. And finally, responding to arguments like this in anger typically only fuels the fire. As I said, I do not have access to a complete account of what happened, but I hope that you will not assume that those who did not speak agreed with or supported what was said against you. Silence does not always mean consent.
  12. Understandable, and from what Rambo told me in IRC, apparently the offensive behavior went on further than he mentioned in the thread. If my wife played video games and were put in a similar situation, I can imagine feeling the same way. Nevertheless, I hope you can understand where I am coming from as well. It's not particularly fun having to bite one's tongue for fear of insulting someone, and banning someone for a few lines of non-serious chat is not a particularly good way to grow the community. In my opinion (and it is not my server, of course, so you are free to disregard this), it is better to roll our eyes and sigh at such immature statement rather to inflate to this level. At the very least, warnings and tempbans should be given before permanent actions. Even if you don't like what they have to say, these are other people out there who deserve consideration (even if they appear to give none themselves), not bots.
  13. Have you never played an online FPS before? It's a wonder the server isn't filled with 11-year-olds screaming about raping everyone else's mothers. Not to mention that it is absurd that you could possibly construe "omg its a girl rape her!!!!" as any kind of personal slight.
  14. More importantly, it's the Internet, and there are random people from the Internet on the server. Stick a password on the server if you can't deal with (very tame) rape jokes.
  15. it is not hard to read, but it is certainly not off-topic for the site
  16. this is the funniest part of the thread imo well i guess it is less funny when you pair it with the poster's name
  17. great. i just got married yesterday and was going to make a thread about it, but you stole my thunder.
  18. I have been out of the loop since I excavated in Italy last summer and haven't been able to get back in.
  19. moseph is probably one of my favorite posters here i will go out of my way to read his posts WHO AREY OU STRANGE INTERNET FAIRY WITH MAGICAL POSTS

  20. The DC meetup with these people was at my apartment. Admittedly, I had already met Myf and Xerol before, and a lot of the other people were pretty high-profile members of the site.
