When I making vgm remix, I just take guitar and trying to play original melody to "feel" the theme. Then write midi loop of it. Having one simple loop helping you to write drums. Drums - rhythm, base and actually the "body".. Then do whateva you want. You free now! Things getting harder, when I want to make something original. Sometimes I just run my daw and after 30-40 min I have completed track. Sometimes I have an idea stuck in my brain. Sometimes I cant sleep. Sometimes I'm drunk. Sometimes I'm boring. In this cases I just do the first thing appeared in my mind.

After number of attempts to fix piano's sequencing, I decided to remove this stupid piano from here. Replaced it with synth. Rebalanced, remastered, etc. Claim it finished. Any thoughts guys'n'gals? Any constructive or not so constructive, bad, good or something is appreciated! As always:) Thank YOU! Best of whateva ppl!! edit: Btw! Brent, what do you mean saying "crank"(or something) about snare. You know what i'm talking about. I just realized that i have no idea "why" snare is not so punchy to you lol

You want to add guitar? Do it! Swelled background lead will be cool i think. I'd suggest you to add one more bass line. Deep and intermittent. Also some clean guitar melody will be good to add. I also think that you may find some place for heavy rhythm here. Then add vocals(female) and it will be hypnotic, interesting, amazing and beautiful)) Just thoughts..

Yes and no. Something philosophical and.. For example, there is a family: he drinker, constantly beats his woman etc. She still with him or ... There is the place for your imagination. Just for example. You may take some generalized person(Emo/goth or just some drug addict etc) and "tell" his/her(her better) story with some facts, no matter real or it is your vision. Anything what could be strange, interesting, bad, good, terrible or whateva. But the most awesome way to find inspiration is.. Well, i dunno. It's all personal stuff. Works for me - doesn't mean it works for you. You already know what kind of senses or invents or whateva pushing you to CREATE!

Global things is a great source for me. Society, WAR, sex, relationships(most important - NOT YOURS), some sarcasm about generations and their integration in history.. Well, anything you see, hear, feel, want to feel/hear/see.

Hello! The game series was made by SIGMA team(Russia) and had high dynamic and energy sound track. This one is a.. mmm.. Energetic stuff I suppose. 4 Drum Tracks at same time, crap tone of synths, Bit Machine corrupting some of guitars, maybe you even can find some work for your sub-woofer in this mix. Vocals sounds really better to my ears now. Bass at the proper level, so as and rest of the track imo. But your lead guitar messing your vocals again. Drop it in loudness or pan it to anywhere, add some gentle effect(flang,phaz,delay,whatever) and cut mid freqs(cuz now lead and rhythm somewhere very close in freqs imo). After that you have to work with master track. Compress a bit? Some EQ'ing? Still loving it! p.s. remember what I made with THIS mix in past? If you wait for about 3-5 months, we can expand it together:mrgreen: maybe..
