Yeah, I've got to say that these tracks are awesome. I've been listening pretty much all day and honestly have no idea who I'm going to vote for . Btw, you guys need to post your sources, I want to hear what you're remixing!

Awesome, I'm listening now! So our source was from Valkyrie Profile with some in the middle and a hint of at the end.The arrangement and recording were done by me, Sir_NutS did most of the production and made everything glue together quite nicely. The arrangement went pretty smoothly; the recording not so much. The piano, for instance, was a last minute addition when I started having problems with my whistle's tuning. Due to some fail email sending on my part (Well it was Windows Live Mail's fault really) our weekend communication was delayed until last night and the track didn't get mixed until this morning. Still, I think it came out pretty well considering he only had a few hours. A lot of the fullness of the track came from what he did and it sounds much more coherent than it did originally. I learned a lot working on this, from both Sir_NutS and my own experimentation, but I'm not sure if there's anything specific that I can mention. It was more an overall learning experience.

It should be fine, but we did have a little bit of trouble with power outages this morning. If we do need an extension it should just be for rendering/sending it in. Edit: In with 10 minutes to go! Woo!

Well I haven't heard from Sir_Nuts in days which means that I'm probably going to have to do everything myself I hope that doesn't disqualify me...

I don't think licensing means that you have to sell it, just that you have the rights to distribute it.

Agreed. They sound very synthesized. If you aren't able to get some better samples I'd recommend asking someone if they'd be interested in collabing with you. You might have some luck if you post on the Recruit and Collaborate forum, there are some people around here with great sample libraries. The guitar playing is awesome though! I'm not having any trouble hearing the bass, although a boost wouldn't be a bad thing. I'm not particularly keen on the orchestral intro (even though it's short). I just don't really think that riff works with those instruments. Other than that, I really like the arrangement!

Although this is more a question for djp since he does all the posts, I was wondering how posted mixes are chosen from those that have been accepted seeing as it's clearly not chronological. I'm asking because there are a few in the 'to be posted' section that are from all the way back in 2010 and even 2009.
