  1. So...this album doesn't have nearly as much metal as it was made out to . It's totally awesome though! Definitely lives up to my expectations. A few of the tracks feel like they're completely out of place (lol Josh Welchel) but they're so good that it doesn't matter . Good job guys. I'm going to be listening to this for a while.
  2. Yay! I'm listening to the posted mixes while it downloads and they're great! The rest of the album is sure to be just as good.
  3. Haha I never realized there were so many possible interpretations. I actually always though it was #3 for some reason...
  4. Nice one! The guitars sound a lot thicker now. I like it! I'm not sure what you mean by the timing being off for the solos; it sounds pretty on time to me but maybe I'm just not hearing it? I'm actually not a big fan of the new synth at 2:00. It sounds a bit too...bubbly for a lead. I dunno. The chords are less boring now that you've added some rhythmic changes but I'd still like to see more variation in terms of the actual chords. It's up to you though.
  5. Personally I prefer the old key but that's probably just because I'm used to it. The humanization and stuff sounds really nice in this version though . The only distortion related thing I'm hearing is a pop in my left ear at 2:38. You might want to fix that before you submit it. Good luck on the panel!
  6. Aw, that's too bad. I know what you mean though. The sources are fantastic!
  7. Sure! The tracklist is up to date so you can take a look at what's left. PM me if there's something you're interested in .
  8. Aha, quite true. I can imagine that would be pretty frustrating XD. Hey, no problem. I like the piece so I'm glad I could help!
  9. Very nice . I'd still like to hear more arrangement in the last section though. I know you've changed what some of the hands are doing but I still think it feels too repetitive. Some melody changes and/or phrase extensions would sound really nice I think. Great job overall though!
  10. Wow, this is pretty cool! I knew it was going to be awesome as soon as I heard those drums at the beginning I don't think the lead line is repetitive at all, the inversions and stuff at the end help keep things fresh. The chords do get kind of boring after a while though. It might be nice to change them up a little. I'm not really sure what to say production-wise but yeah, I like it.
  11. Congrats on getting posted Mokram! Love this track, and it goes so well with the rest of the album despite being very different stylistically.
  12. Maybe try using a different time signature for that measure. 4/4 or 6/4 might work.
  13. I love the part you added, it's really pretty! I think the change is a little abrupt though. Try putting in a pause at 1:04 before having the repeating note come in. I think it would make it that much more powerful. Also, from 1:18 to 1:32 I think the left hand could be doing something more interesting than what it's doing. The rest of it is really good, but I find that bit a little unoriginal. Finally, I think it would be perfect if you extended the major part at 2:30 and went crazy with interpretation. I'm pretty sure the end is still too conservative for OCR and there's just so much possibility for that section. Keep up the good work though, it sounds great .
  14. Whoah! Tristania is one of my favorite bands. This is so cool . I'm not sure I fully understand your post though. What exactly are the raw materials you need recreated? Are they mp3s? The band's songs? More information might be helpful if you want people to volunteer. Good luck with the project though! P.S. This also reminds me that I still need to play the game. I tried getting it to work a while ago and had some trouble. I'll have to try again.
  15. Doesn't Iron Man say something like "Take it away Cap" just before the final battle or something? It's been a while but I thought I remembered something like that.
  16. I think the "please don't post 15 threads at once" part kind of over-rides that. Besides I'm pretty sure those are just for the remix WIP forum; unless I'm mistaken, you're pretty much allowed to do it however you want in the originals forum.
  17. Man, I love these kinds of pieces, and I love this source too so this made me pretty happy . Really neat arrangement. I thought 5 pianos was going to be excessive but it doesn't sound cluttered at all really, so good job with the arrangement! The samples need some work; apart from a few sections everything seems to be about the same volume. Adjusting the velocities will help it sound less mechanical. The only other thing is that it sounds pretty cover-ish. I think it would be really cool if you were to extend it and add some more interpretation. The end is kind of abrupt too, so making it a bit longer might help. Also, (this is probably just personal preference but) I think it would sound nicer if it was a little slower. Like maybe 10 bpm slower? I'm really interested in seeing what this sounds like when it's finished though!
  18. Well you've got to at least read them...so that you can post them here .
