NEW TORRENTS are FINALLY out! ReMixes 1-2500 AVAILABLE!
Magnetic Ether replied to Liontamer's topic in Announcements
Just want to give a HUGE thank you to Larry and djp for this. I looked at the changelog and holy shit that must have been a lot of work I can see why it took 3 years now! -
+1 Also on the subject of indie games, , although you might view it more as interactive art than a game.
-
Yeah...basically this is a re-interpretation of my unfinished remix of that track. Plus, (as mentioned) Jane hadn't heard the original, so um... I guess it's not too surprising that it doesn't exactly resemble the source .
-
If anyone's wondering, this is the source. It's completely beyond recognition at this point, but Jane made something pretty awesome out of it anyways!

Not really a kickstarter, but still crowd funding (Plus there's free music involved ): http://www.gofundme.com/173f4o This was started by my aunt (a talented violinist) in an attempt to be allowed to return to London after her visa recently ran out. Also featured in Union Jack newspaper yesterday. Check it out! It's at least worth a look for the story and song (which is pay what you like on bandcamp).

Awful Games In Awesome Series *SPOILERS AHOY!*
Magnetic Ether replied to Jax Mandrake's topic in General Discussion
Lol, what? Yeah...I think if they had fleshed out the story and actually tried to tie it into the game instead of revealing everything at the end it would have been great, but instead, most of the game ended up feeling like filler. I also had issues with the plot itself, but it was forgettable enough that I don't remember what they were now... I actually like that it was somewhat removed from Trigger though. Made it feel much more original. -

Oh god. One of the most poorly implemented plot-lines ever. It did have some damn good things going for it though, like the amazing music and graphics. Also the battle system was a nice change (although, like Trigger's, it did get pretty boring after a while). -

I liked that one! Considering it was for DS I think it was really well done. The only thing that bothered me about it was the lack of interaction with the Disney characters and a certain amount of repetitiveness as it progressed. Apart from that though, it's one of my favorites in the series. -

Just wanted to say that I've really been enjoying this mix since it came out. Love how well everything fits together! -
RWS 1-1 - ReMixing With the Stars: Season 1 Episode 1: Spooky!
Magnetic Ether replied to MindWanderer's topic in Competitions
Cool! Glad this is getting started up again. I'm not going to be able to participate this time, but maybe in the future. One thing though: It says in the OP that anyone who wants to can be a Star, and yet Novices need to submit 2 tracks that they've worked on. You might want to have some kind of standard for non-posted Stars as well, even if it's just you listening to their work and making a decision. -
You'll almost certainly get more response for this in the Recruit & Collaborate forum (The remix requests forum is more of a wishlist than anything). If you're looking for voice actors that would be the place to find them as well. Good luck with this!

wip just what this world needs - more gerudo valley!
Magnetic Ether replied to FM's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Accepted mixes don't get Judges threads until they're posted for some reason. I wouldn't worry about it . Glad to hear that they were accepted though! -
You could add FCing as a different word for 100%ing.

You're back! If I have to choose one of those models, I'd probably pick #2 since it sounds like the most consistent and because it would give you some sort of deadline to work towards. As much as I love MM I would personally like to see Ocarina finished before it gets started, hence why I didn't pick #3. In any case, I'm looking forward to some new stuff . -

Would anyone be interested in collabing with me on a remix of ? -
finished Final Fantasy IV - Main Theme Orchestra
Magnetic Ether replied to dummy's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Amazing! Definitely one of the most realistic sounding (synthetic) orchestral pieces I've heard. After reading your profile bio I can understand why -
Seeing them in December with Eluveitie and Varg! I hadn't heard of them before the tourdates were announced, but I like what I've heard. They're so much better than Ensiferum.

OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues
Magnetic Ether replied to Liontamer's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
Kind of a small issue, but I find the main/lyrics/download tabs on the remix pages rather annoying. This is mostly because there is no way to open each one in a new window/tab; attempting to do so results in a blank page. Often times I will be listening to the youtube preview and then decide I want to follow along with the lyrics or download the track, however clicking on either of those tabs cuts off the preview, meaning I have to open another identical page before I click on them. I know that the way the pages are set up right now would make it rather difficult to change, but it would be really nice to have the option of opening these in a new browser window or tab. (I know this isn't a priority, and it definitely shouldn't be, but I just thought I'd mention it since it has been bothering me for a while ).
