  1. Yeah, any light imbalances will make the gray (which I think is between #888888 and #cccccc) appear anything but. If your monitor has more red than anything else, then the color will view as #ddcccc instead of the #cccccc as the webpage html codes for (or whatever the #hexdec value is)
  2. I was referring to how it looks, not the icon name, but ok. As in stupid and retarded. name had nothing to do with it.
  3. In other words, fine for OCR use, depends on cicumstances anywhere else.
  4. I would post a picture of derpy here, but 1)wrong thread 2)derpy does not mean ugly/retarded
  5. Oooh, very nice choice. Can't wait to hear it. I MEAN *AHerm* this thread is just for recruitment blahblahblah I won't be a stickler but try not to overdo it before we get an official Darkesword Moderation Visit. But seriously, good idea for a good track.
  6. Wait, is that what this thread is about? lemme edit that
  7. I dunno, but (as I'm sure you already know) SE allows the importing of C++ modules in the form of .sem and .sep files (renamed .dlls) that were generated in C++ and created using SynthEdit SDK instead of the normal VST SDK. Synthedit then exports a finished VST file to a vst .dll in whatever folder it's told to dump finished vsts to. tl;dr if you can recreate the audio engine of din using the SE SDK then you might be able to recreate it in SynthEdit.
  8. could it be recoded into C++? hell, if I could code individual parts into C++, I would convert it piece by piece into a form that is Synthedit friendly while remaining VST-friendly and reconstruct it in the synthedit modular environment...
  9. Hey Never Rest, are you still uncertain about what DAW to use and whatnot? I want you to check out a product by Acoustica called Mixcraft 5 (with a public beta of Mixcraft 6). It's simpler to use than FL, not to mention you are able to open project files even when the trial period ends (14 days for MX5, 30 days for the MX6 beta). I won't delve into details here, I suggest you at least check out the first link there for more information about this DAW. Also, if you don't have one, get a MIDI keyboard or other MIDI input device. Not needed, but a good hardware device to have. Bonus points if it has MIDI CC controls built in.
  10. Does anyone know how to convert a software from Linux/GNU code to a usable Windows or Mac version if you have the source code? http://dinisnoise.org This music software is Linux/GNU only, but I was wondering if anyone could convert this to a working Windows VSTi .dll or Mac AU file
  11. Who's the producing/developing company? Not much of a spritist, as in I've never tried. More curious than anything.
  12. Any kind. Band pass that has a relatively low cutoff, or simply a low pass filter with a 80% cutoff level. You could even use an EQ with reduced levels of the upper frequencies. Band reject could even work too.
  13. I'm going to have to listen to this again, it's been a while. As for trance kicks, yeah they sound the same, but rhythmically, you can vary the kick. Also, don't forget the power of a filter, however subtle its effect on a kick.
  14. Frankly, I don't mind the ass-backwards way it's set up. I can read the most recent posts without wading through posts and pages I've already visited and read. I suppose it's set the other way upon logout because vBulletin assumes that because you are logged out, you are new, and want to read the first post as the first page. That, and I guess it's easier to distribute non-member advertisements. I Dunno. I'm rather used to this recent first view, so i will have to be conditioned if other forums do not use this method by default.
  15. Well, as you two probably know, the best place for feedback is the Workshop forums. Welcome to the OverClocked Remix forums!
  16. Are we related? Well, pokemoneinstein, I guess this is your official welcome to OCR. Welcome, and have fun!
  17. An idea that I have that I doubt will work with a Major key. I mean, I could find one theme and transpose it into a minor key, but whether that would be to a natural minor or harmonic minor... Yikes.
