Im out of the compos for a few months. Apple decided that 200$ wasnt enough for their otherwise useless warranty to cover minor water damage and im not gonna be able to afford a replacement. Ill try remixing on my ipad but idk if thats gonna be reasonable.

If someone could youtube to wav the cdi clip i could still try to chop some of it on my ipad. I just need to get the audio clip into my dropbox or google drive account since apple hasnt unlocked straight downloads on ipads yet. Otherwise ill try to get a freind to do it.

Just a thought, but has anyone tried posting about this compo on reddit or something? My thinking is that as traffic to OCR seems to be slowing down, It would be wise to extend to other popular social media outlets to keep participation up. Just an idea. You could probably copy paste some of the formatting.

what time is this due? Im workin up to the wire but thasauce is down and i dont know what time zone the deadline is. Im guessing that 1pm thasauce time is 3pm in central time

I know OCR is a pretty PC heavy community so Im gonna be the Apple advocate in this thread and say that if he wants a macbook he should look into buying something thats not the current model. A 2015 model is going to perform pretty much exactly the same as a 2016. Much like many things in life, its just marketing to get you to shell out more cash. Why buy a year-old brand-new mac when you could buy a current gen pc? Well, you wouldnt, unless you wanted a mac! If he is visually impaired and somehow a 13 inch screen is too small, then youre gonna have a hard time finding anything newer than 2014 that is reasonable in spec and price. Fortunately, despite what the gear elitists will say, plenty of people make whole albums on 13 inch screens with no problem.
Here are some examples using Appleinsiders deals guide page:
-a NIB 2015 13 inch macbook pro with 3.1 ghz, 8gb ram and a 512 ssd is $1824
-a NIB 2015 13 inch macbook pro with 2.9 ghz, 8gb ram and 512gb ssd is $1540.
That said, PCs will probably always be cheaper for the same or similar specs. I just wanted to provide some perspective, afterall we live in a world with lots of choices, and some people find macs to have good longevity and ease of use.

Im not sure though, since both rounds are live you could be mixing for both rounds at once. Even if the mnp starts before the prc, youd still be doing the majority of the mixing during the appropriate time period. Dunno if ill risk it, but Itd be cool to have such a long mixing period.

Just a heads up for people who listen to the youtube video, theres a little melody in the midi that you cant really hear in the youtube render. This is due to the way game music worked on dos computers, with the game running midi through whatever soundcard you had. I guess the emulation in the video doesnt render very well. Alas it was the only video of the theme on youtube.
P.s. Definitely plugging out a bonus remix of this one
