  1. This is so incredible - seriously. However...I feel like there should be a chord change at around 20 seconds and 1:30 (guess i'm saying when the melody hits this specific point). Otherwise, sounding great to me so far.
  2. Preciate the kind words/criticism m'friend (great points made btw); And yes, I do draw the Bg's for my images. For the ones I don't draw, I do some minor photoshop work to 'em. Also, I'm glad you like my style in general. I know it's not the norm here at OCR - but I'm very grateful.

  3. Pretty sweet work there DiGi; I like your style as it should mesh well with the beat. - and I'm glad you like my stuff bro! Thanks for the reply, and I look forward to your rapping on the track whenever time allows.
  4. Hey - that was a pretty sweet mix there bro! (slight distortion aside lol) Here's hoping someone'll take the chance and actually rap on it > : D

  5. Feedback is much appreciated Dark-Sim - No need to explain yourself lol; and couldn't agree more about the EQ-ing (among other things)... felt like something was amiss y'know? I'll take note of/address these things though. Again, many thanks DS.
  6. The Ultimate(Soundcloud) In the event they bring out a Tenkaichi 3 HD remix, here's my entry for Vegetto's theme, my take of the one found in Dragonball GT Final bout. Kenji Yamamoto is so underrated; but I do hope you enjoy the mix.
  7. Great idea DS - I've posted the beat on collab section (gave you credit as well).

  8. Sup OCR, For all the rappers out there (thanks for the suggestion by DarkSim), Care to try your hands rapping over this beat? (soundcloud link is located here as well). If there are multiple attempts - my favorite will be posted as a featured vid on my youtube account. (You'll be free to post it as well, whoever decides to take a shot at this). Of course credit will be given and what not. There's nothing to lose, so why not give it a shot?
  9. I do appreciate the comments regardless - at least you took the time to listen, despite being unfamiliar with the genre. that said though, : ) no need to apologize. I know you were honestly just commenting - just as I was honestly voicing thoughts at the time.

No hard feelings or anything eh?

  10. No need for apology Ace! - this is something I've wanted to share my thoughts on for some time now, and the recent comments just inspired me to actually voice them. Never took what was said as bashing - as that was your genuine critique. However, I'd just like others to take the nature of a mix into consideration prior to criticism is all (Ends up much more constructive that way). That said, no feelings were hurt on this end haha.
  11. I'm glad you enjoyed the tune/took it for what it was Maia. Means a ton.

  12. DJ - once again, I'm glad you understand the nature of my music man. Everyone here is so hellbent on intricate melodies and what not...they can't appreciate a simple sample/simple beat. It's like..if 1million things aren't going on in your song, there's NOTHING going on.

  13. Thanks a ton for the feedback everyone, but I do have something I'd like to get off of my chest. While repetitive to some, you'd do well to note that many hip-hop beats are..well.."repetitive" so to speak. That's the nature of this style (Take a listen to the Champloo soundtracks for example). (Note: I'm in NO way comparing myself to Nujabes or any of the awesome producers on those OSTs btw. Not one BIT.). It's almost like complaining about repetition in a game like Streets of Rage; knowing full well that's the nature of the beat-em-up style. I'm not saying this shouldn't be subject to critique - but don't overly critique that which comes natural to a particular genre/style. I realize songs(remixes) here on OCR are usually very expressive, elaborate pieces with tons of things going on - and I really do commend/respect that about this place and the artists capable of such composition. It's really something I'm trying to improve on. However - I humbly ask that you take this for what it is; A simple sample, with a simple beat. No saxaphone solos or anything like that. I know my music isn't for everyone (and my technique is amateur at best), and as Maia said I just don't have enough going on more often than not. I couldn't agree more - but with a sample such as this...I really wanted it to shine as it's[the sample] pretty great as is (imo). That said though, I agree that more could've been added, no doubt. What started out as something that should've lasted a minute ended up well...a tad longer haha; And I'll definitely keep this in mind, should I attempt something like this again though. As always, I appreciate the feedback guys; Means alot that you'd take the time to listen to my mixes - and it helps this guy to improve little by little.
  14. SkyDiamond011(Soundcloud) Really quick mix- had a blast though. Real trip down memory lane.
  15. Source:You should know this. If not, in the beginning of the song. Maybe Next Time (SoundCloud) Had a ton of fun with this one - hope you all enjoy.
  16. Deep Thought (SoundCloud) An amazing source here - the likes of which I don't feel like I was able to really do justice to. However, this was a request. I hope you're able to enjoy it however.
  17. Soundcloud: Club Links Request by my GF - wanted me to turn the source (heard in the beginning of the song) into something she could dance to. Here's hoping I was successful. No, it doesn't have a bunch of parts/fancy transitions and the like - the intention was to do something simple and fun. I am however working on getting more serious with my music.
  18. To those who listened, I hope the mix was ok. As usual, I'm open to any/all critique.
  19. Source:One who Bares Fangs at God Reminder of Mortality-One who Bares Fangs at God (Soundcloud) This was the request of a youtube Sub - and the first time I've worked with 3/4 time lol. I hope both then/you all enjoy. Was just intended to be something quick however.
  20. Hangar-Hanger~Mach1Delivery Song for a story I'm currently work on - really short, but it's only supposed to act as scene/select music. Hope you enjoy.
  21. I wanna watch Aladdin now - and great cover man. Get's the job done excellently. The only thing I'd suggest is to just add a bit more back up instruments you'd find in an orchestra (woodwinds, subtle horns, harps-misc percussion, etc) as the song goes on - Mostly sounds like a Strings-only as opposed to something orchestral.
