  1. Oh! not at all - The only thing I really changed was the tempo/key of the song it wasn't much of a remix to begin with - : ) just my take on the original - So I understand any qualms regarding arrangement and the like. Thanks for the listen, and I'll definitely take your critique into consideration regarding my next attempt at one of these. : o As for the generic sampling, blame MegaMan 2's sound designer lol XD. Those were the best I could find.
  2. Midnight Tuning(Soundcloud) REALLY old recording I found lying around on my HD (3 years old lol), and decided to make a really quick beat out of it. This is the song that would play when you're tuning your vehicle or something of that nature.
  3. GO ROCKMAN!! (Soundcloud) For a more visual treat, check out Youtube this time around (Celebrating 50 vids-horrah). Playing around in Live when a wave of nostalgia hit me after humming the intro theme for this game..was one of the first games I played/ended on the GameBoy. Once again, tis really close to the source but I did this mostly from memory (seriously). Either way, hope you enjoy.
  4. And here I am, working on a MegamanII(Gameboy) mix as well lol... This sounds really neat, although I'm not sure if you were intending for this to be a remix or not (if so - then Da monz pretty much said what needs to be said regarding that.) As a cover however - this is excellent.
  5. Pretty legit stuff here. Really diggin' it.
  6. Thanks as Well Calum - I'm gonna attempt a true remix & move out of the safe 'cover/sample' territory real soon though. (Being inspired by the talented musicians on this site.)
  7. Present your Case - Turnabout Courtroom~Trial R-Mix(Soundcloud Damn, that is one long title. Anyways... My take on one of my favorite themes from the game - just something simple to compliment the epic original. Was just going for a more of an 'update' as opposed to a remix - very close to the source. Here's hoping I did it some justice however. No pun intended. Seriously. Artwork-should you go to the Youtube Link©Rukunetsu
  8. "Can't let you do that, Da Monz." Seriously though? Nice work you've done here - really like it.
  9. Thanks for the backup on that point - p.s; : ) I'm a guy.

  10. Don't get the wrong idea when I say simple. By no means am I downplaying what you've created here - I can hear all the different instruments, transitions and such going on. All of these come together to make a pretty neat sounding song. However, you even said it yourself in your initial description, "epic journey/menu screen sort of thing." Well I'm merely saying it fits the latter of the two better. Also, this line?--->"Much more so than many other songs I have heard and produced." *shakes head* Far be it from me to judge, but let's not get TOO ahead of ourselves shall we? I'm no professional, but posting with that mentality will only get you shot down quick.
  11. Liking the arrangement and melody overall quality - Simply put, it's simple but effective. A very 'safe' track that could be played in a game like puzzle quest or what have you. However, while the melody is nice, I feel like the use ot at least one other instrument (say, a pan flute on the softer parts) to play the melody at different parts of the song would've helped with making it a tad more dynamic. Perhaps even a duet of instruments playing the melody towards the end of the song.
  12. Thanks much Erin - Guess I got bit carried away with the volume on the drums...
  13. And these are the kinds of things I need to practice regarding my music. While unfinished, the potential here is pretty great.
  14. Fly Away-BreakBeatR-Mix My take on the theme of Panty and Stocking (google it). Hope y'like.
  15. Lovin' happy street - but honestly, the trumpets do throw it off just a tad for me. However, the overall arrangement/melody you used are just excellent. Sounds like something right out of a scene from an anime or something.
  16. A very fair, and keen observation. Many times I get caught up in the chords, and totally neglect to add a melody - The biggest issue with my stuff, and one I'm honestly trying to address. I appreciate you taking to the time to point that out, and that should honestly drive me to really work on that aspect of my music. Perhaps I'll build off of a melody first (as I should be doing anyways lol) then go from there. Once again, thanks.
  17. Bright-Soundcloud Theme song for a character of mine. Hope y'all like.
