  1. Everything about the game is fine except for the freaking title. Who the frik calls Smash Bros. "for Wii U". That's so boring. We had "Melee" and "Brawl" and you guys are calling this game "for Wii U". Ugh. I'm having the same feelings with "Mario Kart 8". That's just a boring name. Even Mario Kart U sounds better. Or let's freaking give it a special name like they did with Double Dash and Super Circuit. That was cute. I'm still very excited about the game, but in all honesty, the title is highly disappointing. I was hoping for another cool fight name. That's just unattractive. That sounds like a remake of an older game for a newer system... oh lord please no
  2. Microsoft: "Hey you can't sell Xbox One games used because the players might have to additionally pay for it again when they put the disc in." Gamestop: "WELP. SCREW THIS."
  3. Sure, the Wii sold a lot because it looked great. Heck, for the first few years, it WAS great. I thought the console was killer. But once other great games started releasing for the PS3 and 360, and ports for all three systems were always better on the PS3 and 360, the Wii started to look like a fail. I think their biggest "no no" with their console was throwing in the same graphics card as the GCN. Like, really? After you saw that both the PS3 and 360 are capable of HD graphics and you guys put in the same graphics card you used for your last system? That was a little pathetic. But listen, when you've got Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Twilight Princess, NSMB Wii (before it got old), Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros. Brawl, and even in the early days with Wii Sports, I think that the Wii was worth my time. It may not be as great as the other two consoles technically speaking and third-party gaming-wise, but when it came to first-party games, Nintendo did quite well. Unfortunately the games for the Wii U look more like Nintendo is saying "well gee guys this stuff worked last time so I guess let's just do it again and put a different name on the box". Come on, Nintendo, please don't be pulling infinityward stunts. On the bright side, the games they've announced nevertheless look fun. I just was disappointed I didn't see anything brand new (the site of MK8 and Smash Bros. 4 made me quite happy, though). I think Brandon is trying to let everyone know he doesn't like Nintendo--at least not for the past 7 years. That's what I'm getting from his statements lately.
  4. lol in the long run it actually sold more than both PS3 and 360
  5. I'm just sorta opinionated. Sorry. I'll cut it out.
  6. I personally believe that Halo 5 is going to be the only thing that will help Xbox One sell to anyone that isn't an Xbox fanboy. That game would probably be the one and only reason I would ever get One. Hahahaha see what I did there... get One... heheh... ha... yeah ok
  7. If we've done our research (and not a lot is needed), I don't see a point in citing resources when it's a pretty obvious conclusion.
  8. I definitely get that. But, uh, correction, the Xbox One won't be good for anyone, whether or not the fanbase accepts that factor or not. And the die-hard fanbase is going to try to defend it, even if there's nothing to defend. Just like Sonic '06. lol
  9. This is very true. He is rather annoying. Though everything he stated was unfortunately true.
  10. Anything with input lag is not fun.
  11. Someone wanted me to restate this in this thread just to see what everyone's reaction would be: Only grandmothers and stupid mothers who don't ever do research on anything will buy [Xbox One]. And only stupid children will want it. I will begin finding out how many people are really stupid in the world when I see the sale count when it releases.
  12. Remember, the music from the trailer isn't even Sonic. It was the music from "Cinema" by Benny Benassi. Also, I never remember a time when I played a Sonic Allstars Racing and liked it better than Mario Kart, honestly... Mario Kart's still my favorite "unrealistic" racing game series and probably my favorite racing game series. There's just magic with Mario Kart I don't get with any other game.
  13. What I've gotten from the past from the past 4 pages leaves me with this response. Hey Crowbar Man, Super Mario 3D Land is a f-ing main title, so shut up and stop trying to say it's not when it is a fact that it is in FACT a main title. Seriously, shut up. That's like someone saying the sky is blue and you refusing to believe that, with you saying that it's purple when it is clearly blue. If we need to get so specific, it is a handheld main series title. Does that make you feel any better?

  15. This is true, though I honestly don't understand why they skipped the Prime games in whole. Brawl should've been based on like Prime 3 or something. You know the one thing I like about Other M Samus better? Her run is cooler. In Brawl it's all awkward. In Other M she like bends over a bit and it gives a sense of momentum and not just the mailman from Zelda running around in a suit of metal. That's what Samus running in Brawl looked like. The problem with the Other M suit is it seemed too light. It needed more weight, but she still should've run the same way she does already in Other M. So hopefully they'll animate her similarly in Super Smash Bros. U. Does it have an official name? Or is it seriously gonna be "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" and "Super Smash Bros. for 3DS"? Please no...
  16. That was way before we had all done our research and learned more about the system.
  17. I'd love another Double Dash in Mario Kart. Double Dash is still to this day my favorite Mario Kart. They are all great and I have no worries about this new one, but Double Dash definitely had the greatest features of Mario Kart and changed the way Mario Kart was from then onward. But I'd love to have two characters on one kart again and the double items and special items and everything. That was just so good. I don't get why some critics thought it failed to live up to Mario Kart 64. Some felt that it was just not what they wanted after a whole 6 years of waiting. I thought that it both lived up to and passed 64. I thought the game was amazing. As for the new 3D Mario, this was one huge complaint that I have. Why the frik are we ditching orchestral soundtrack? They're doing all that synthy stuff and I want my big orchestra from Galaxy back in my living room. Of course, that doesn't fit with this type of game, but seriously. Orchestra seriously worked amazingly with Mario. Or just go back to the latin feel that the GameCube and N64 days had. That was glorious. The silly synth sound they are doing is fine, but I just am sorta sick of it. I actually wanna hear something new. Something different. This new Mario is an obvious "well it worked last time so let's not take any risks and let's just do the same thing again". Come on Nintendo. That's not you. That's never been you. What are we doing here? Gee, I loved those days. When I actually felt I had control of the disc? I didn't have to wait for the machine to decide to eject. I just popped up the lid and threw it in the game box. That was nice. Let's do that again. Now I don't have to open up my system just in case something gets jammed.
